Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan)

Chapter 69

Unfortunately, she was born in hell, and she had no right to enter heaven.

Isabella knocked on the door, and the housekeeper, arriving slowly, asked, "Who is it, so late at night?"

She opened the door and was surprised to see Isabella.

"Second Miss, what brings you here?"

Isabella pushed her aside and walked in without a word.

"This is my house. Can't I come?"

The housekeeper was speechless. She quickly went to seek help, and not long after, Victoria slowly came downstairs.

"Bella, what made you suddenly think of coming home?" Victoria seemed to be in a good mood, her complexion rosy, with no sign of being affected by the online scandal.

Isabella's gaze fixed directly on Victoria's stomach. Though it appeared flat, Isabella knew that it concealed a child-Nathan's child.

"I'm getting a divorce from Nathan. After that, I'll have nowhere to go. Would you mind if I stay here for a while?" Isabella asked.

"No way," Victoria almost shouted without hesitation.

Isabella frowned, displeased. "I'm also a daughter of the Moore family. Why can't I stay here just because you do?"

Victoria, flustered, said, "You know Father doesn't like you. If you force your way in, he'll get sick for sure."

Isabella pretended to be troubled. "Then what should I do? If I have nowhere to stay, I'll have to give up the divorce."

Victoria's face turned pale. She grabbed Isabella's hand, her voice anxious: "Aren't you trying to divorce Nathan? He finally agreed to the divorce. If you miss this chance, it might not be so easy to divorce later." Isabella watched her with amusement. "Bella, are you so eager to climb up?"

Victoria's face faltered, guilty. "Bella, I'm doing this for your own good. You said you were willing to ruin Nathan's reputation to force the divorce. The Hill family must hate you to the bone now. If you don't divorce, do you think they'll accept you?" She then added with a sarcastic smile, "How does your divorce affect my rise?"

Isabella replied calmly, "Don't worry. I'll definitely divorce Nathan."

Victoria visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

But Isabella continued, "However, if I have no place to stay, I'm not in a rush to divorce yet."

Victoria panicked. "Bella, I'll find a place for you right away."

Victoria took out her phone and went out. Not long after, she returned, looking pleased.

"Bella, my friend is willing to let you stay at his villa in the suburbs for a while, free of charge. You can move in tonight."

"Is it in the East Suburbs?" Isabella asked.

"How did you know?" Victoria replied, surprised.

"It's the Bay Villa, right?" Isabella pressed.

Victoria turned pale.

Isabella sneered. "Nathan used marital assets to buy you that villa, didn't he?"

Victoria swallowed nervously. "How do you know?"

Isabella ignored her.

She had all the evidence of Nathan transferring marital assets.

Victoria hesitantly asked, "Bella, what exactly is your purpose in coming to the Moore family tonight?"

Isabella mockingly stared at her. "I just wanted to test how much of our Bellaly bond is left."

hint of shame flashed

Victoria's eyes.

Isabella had donated her kidney to her, but after her divorce, Victoria refused to offer her a place to stay. It was clear that any affection she had for Isabella was now gone. "Bella, if you really want to come back, it's not impossible..." Victoria tried to salvage the situation. "But you'll have to change your attitude and get along with us." Isabella looked at her as if watching a comedy. "Victoria, do you really think I want to come back and live here?"

Victoria stared at her in confusion.

Isabella threw out a heavy bombshell: "Considering your 'good performance' tonight, I've decided to reluctantly try and hold onto this marriage with Nathan for a little longer." Victoria's body trembled. "Even if you're looking for a new place, it doesn't have to take ten months, right?"

Isabella's lips curled into a mock smile.

She looked at Victoria with disdain.

Suddenly, Victoria understood. Ten months-wasn't that when her baby would be born?

Her eyes widened in horror. "Do you know...?"

Isabella didn't answer.

Her cold smirk gave Victoria all the answers she needed.

Victoria felt like her legs had turned to jelly and nearly collapsed. "Isabella, what do you really want to do?"

Isabella, hands in her pockets, casually leaned back. "Bella, do you think I'm happy being married to Nathan, gaining nothing and losing a kidney? Do you think I'll just accept that?" "What do you want, then?" Victoria asked, trembling.

Isabella played with her nails, exuding dominance. "Everything that is rightfully mine, I won't let a single thing slip away."

Victoria's voice quivered. "Fine, I'll make Nathan compensate you. The villa in the Bay will be yours. How about that?"

Isabella scoffed. "A villa in the suburbs? You think you can bribe me with that?"

Victoria's face turned red with anger. "Isabella, you're just a beggar born in a slum. Do you think you deserve to live in a villa? You're dreaming!"

Isabella slapped her across the face. "Victoria, you short-lived wretch. It's because of me that you're still alive. You're the one who should wake up from this dream."

Just then, Master Moore returned home. Seeing Victoria with her hand on her face tears streaming down, he exploded with rage. "Isabella, who let you come back? You have some nerve, bullying your Bella like this! Where's the housekeeper? Get me the family punishment! If don't beat this unfilial daughter to death today, I'll no longer be a Moore!"

The housekeeper quickly took down the family punishment-a spiked whip-from the wall and handed it to Master Moore.

Master Moore gripped the whip and, with lightning speed, swung it at Isabella. The action was fluid, without pause, so much so that Isabella didn't have time to react.

The whip landed, and Isabella's frail body was flung into the air like a ragdoll, crashing heavily onto the ground.

For a moment, she could only exhale, not inhale.

Her back burned as though it had been scorched by fire.

It felt like an eternity, but eventually, Isabella's consciousness slowly returned.

She stared with bloodshot eyes, roaring in fury, "If you have the guts, beat me to death today. If you don't, I'll make the entire Moore family descend into hell."

Master Moore raised the whip again, aiming it at Isabella, but Victoria, terrified by Isabella's threat, suddenly stepped forward to stop him.

"Dad, you can't hit her!" she cried.

Master Moore looked at her, confused. "Victoria, she caused you to be slandered by internet trolls. Why are you still speaking for her?"

Victoria looked at Isabella with guilt in her eyes.

Isabella slowly pushed herself off

the ground. A venomous smile

twisted her lips. "Do you really think she's speaking for me out of kindness? It's because I have

something on her, and she doesn't

dare to offend me."

Master Moore's expression changed as he understood. He threw the whip aside.

Looking at Isabella, his face pale as ashes, he asked, "Do you know what kind of leverage you have on your Bella?"

Isabella replied coolly, "Don't you want to become the future father-in-law of the heir to the Hill Group? It's a pity that this whip just broke your path to power."

Isabella said no more and began to walk away with difficulty.

"I'm not getting a divorce. Your daughter will always be the mistress. Your grandson will always be a despised illegitimate child."

Master Moore panicked. "Isabella, you can't treat your Bella like this!"

Isabella stopped and turned. "If you want me to divorce, then give me all the assets under your name without conditions. I'll consider your faint fatherly love and divorce him without hesitation." FindNovel
