Chapter 81
Chapter 81
The mention of money and gifts at such a terrible timing was no different from demanding Simon for his life!
"Don't listen to him, Simon. He's a kid who doesn't know anything. I never expected a wedding gift from you....
Already initable, Simon retorted, "Is there even a question of wedding gift between us?"
Anelia froze, while Adam frowned and pointed out. "You married Amella, did you not?
“Married her?” Simon chuckled as he entered the living room. “Amelia begged for a wedding to fulfill her wish, and that's why I replaced the bride at the last minute."
Adam turned to Amelia in surprise. "Amelia, didn't you say..."
"There, there, that's enough!" Amelia cut him off and rushed to grab Simon's anti. "Trooked dinner for you. Let's eat."
Simon sat down and glanced at adam. He asked, "When is he leaving?"
“Adam doesn't have much going on recently, so he's planning to stay in Greenfield Cay for a while. He's acollege graduate. Could you find him a suitable position? He could get some prior working experience." “Gaining experience is fine, but he can't stay here. I'm not having anyone stay in the house for free, simge snapped sharply. “By the way, what about your medical results?” Amelia clenched her fist tightly, “Let's talk in a bit. I'll settle Adam in, alright?!
In the guest room, Adam shook Amelia's hand away and growled, "You must make sure he arranges for me to join Refined Threads Co! If a country bumpkin like Janke is capable of becoming a director, why can't I want the same!"
Back in the living room, Simon received a call from his company halfway through dirmer and rushed tow branch office of Refined Threads Co.
By 8:30 pm, the lights in the office should've been off, but Simon had no time to rest. The coach department at erined Threads Co. had collectively resigned!
It came suddenly with no prior notice or resignation applications.
The seamstresses, who'd been recruited at a high price after Janice's departure and were previously part of Melody & Loops Creations, looked on disdainfully after learning about the regrutions.
With their identity as ex-employees of Melody & Loops Creations, they'd always carried a sense of superiority and regarded the original seamstresses with contempt. This made the lives of the original seamstresses miserable.
"Yvonne, what's going on?
Simon stormed into the branch office and confronted Yvonne, who was about to resign. "Thaven't signed off on your resignation. Are you aware you'll need to pay a penalty for breaching your contract?
Yvonne coolly replied, "I don't a much here, so the penalty isn't much either. Since you've found our replacement, I don't see any reason for me to stay."
"Exactly!" The original seamstresses echoed her sentiumt.
Furious, Simon questioned, “Have I not paid you well? Have I ever mistreated you throughout your years at Retired Threads Co
If the skilled seamstresses left, finding their replacements wouldn't be easy even if they paid the penalties. His head throbbed at the thought.
"Mistreatment?"
One of the seamstresses couldn't hold back any longer. "It's true you've never mistreated us, but that's thanks to Ms. Smith! Do you even know us? Do you even know the names of all the supervisors?
"You talk about our years at Refined Threads Co., but look what happened! Ms. Smith worked tirelessly, but she ended up getting ousted from the company!"
וי
Another seamstress chimed in, "Our hearts broke when you had her office cleared out. If you treat her like that, what are we to you?
“And we wise right! You brought in those rejects from Melody & Loops Creations, these barely skilled girls who strut around bossing us like they re better than us. Yet you did nothing!
"We're done with a boss like you!"
The voices of nearly 300 skilled seamstresses echoed through the hall and denounced Simon.
Yvonne glared at the new group of teamstresses and ignored their grim expressions “Next time we meet, we'll be rivals.
Simon suddenly blocked her way "Did Jankor poach you?
Yeonine intendered janice's prior instructions and tolded her arms. "That's right! We're going to work for Ms, Smith. Let it tell you something, Mr. Fingerald, we'd have left
years ago if it weren't for her
"Don't you see it yet? Don't you understand who's been hobling tied Theads co. together all these years? It was Ma. Smh! Yvonne bellowed. She'd had enough of thos
"It was these hardworking seamstresses, not you, someone who just sits in an office posting ngers and acting out the center of the universe!
There was fury in her voice as she declared, "Let's be honest; you're nowhere near her levell
