“Serena!” Brianna giggles hugging me tightly.

“Hey little one,” I smile.

“Have you talked with your father yet?” Mum asks.

“Yes, they’ve told me the plan,” I nod hugging her.

“We’ll be together in just a couple days, don’t worry Serena,” She says softly.

“Here Serena, eat,” Carla passes me a plate of food as I sit next to Brianna, watching as she giggles with Daniel and David.

“Are you ready to go Luna Cassandra?” Silas walks into the kitchen.

“Already…” I murmur sighing.

“Pauline will be taking Craig any second now,” Silas says as my eyes widen as I jump from my seat and bolt downstairs into the basement as Oliver and my father are unlocking his shackles as Pauline takes hold of him in her arms.

“Wait! Let me say goodbye!” I shout.

“Of course, quickly now,” Dad nods.

“Serena…” Craig groans, waking slightly from his weakened state.

“How are you feeling Craig?” I stand beside him, cupping his face.

“Not so good…I remember…I remember you,” He says as a tear falls down his face.

“I’m so sorry, for everything Craig,” I cry.

“You should never have brought me back Serena,” He says as I look at him in shock.

“I couldn’t live without you…” I cry.

“You killed our child…For me…Now I’m a risk to the pack too…Just kill me and be done with it,” He says.

“Don’t listen to him, Lucinda will be pushing his mind to such a brink of depression he will want to leave, his emotions are not his own,” Pauline says softly.

“He’s right for part of it though, I sacrificed our child…” I say standing back.

“Let me go!” he growls out suddenly, thrashing against Pauline.

“We have to go now, Serena!” She says trying to calm him.

“I’m so sorry. We’ll get your back to yourself soon Craig, I swear.” I kiss his cheek as Pauline and Craig disappear.

“The others have gone with Silas,” Lucien says behind me as I turn in shock.

“What?! I never said goodbye!” I shout angrily.

“Beta Owen got there earlier than planned so they had to leave quickly with Silas, sorry cupcake,” he says as he wipes the tears from my eyes.

“Stop…This heat is driving me mad…” I say moving his hand from my face.

“You know the best thing to stop the heat?” He smirks.

“What?” I ask as he steps closer.

“Giving in,” He says as I gulp, my body wanting nothing more but to tear the shirt from his body, to be ravaged.

“I thought you had control, Lucien…” I whisper.

“I do…Come out for training when you’ve finished your breakfast,” he pecks my lips and walks out the basement as I stand in shock.

“WHAT THE FUCK!” I growl.

I storm up the stairs and into the kitchen as I can feel Carla and the twins stare at me, wanting to know what happened to me.

“So…You look a little flushed Serena…” David says as I glare at him and he steps back, hands raised in surrender.

“How long does the heat last?” Carla asks.

“If you don’t…you know…up to a week…” Daniel says.

“A WEEK! I can’t deal with this for a week!” I groan, my head thudding onto the counter.

“What’s up hot stuff!” Tony walks in at this very moment as I peek up to see David trying to signal Tony to shut up.

“Perhaps you should just give in and shag someone,” Carla says as I glare at her.

“You make it sound so easy Carla, I live with every man here, some work under me, some are old enough to be my dad and others I just… can’t.” I sigh.

“They would certainly like to work under you, if you know what I mean,” Tony wiggles his brow as I lob a fork at his head as he catches it easily, laughing.

“Do you live to torment me lately? Or do you just enjoy misery?” I growl.

“Both,” He grins.

“Dick,” I say.

“Such a dirty mouth,” he says.

“I’m going to pull your fangs out,” I threaten as he laughs.

I growl in frustration, grabbing the last of my food before leaving the kitchen.

“Are you trying to make her angrier?” I hear Carla ask.

“I’m trying to make her just give in, she’s stubborn,” Tony answers.

“Give in to what…To Lucien?” She answers as I stop in the corridor.

“You’re telling me you’ve never noticed how much he loves her. That’s not the love of an uncle, Carla.” Tony smirks.

“But he’s like her family,” Carla says.

“Not by blood,” Daniel says.

“He’s her father’s beta and friend due to their families being friends. There is no blood relation at all. It’s not wrong of them if they did decide to have a little fun. At least he’s trustworthy,” David adds.

I sigh and walk away, were they right, was I being stupid thinking that it would be bad if I did anything with Lucien? He had always been there for me, and I never did like calling him uncle, I just did it to wind him up, I knew he hated it. Now I guess I knew why…

“Fuck…” I hear a moan come from the office as I frown, opening the door to find Lucien and Yasmin in a very compromising position.

“Alpha! Oh my!” Yasmin squeals, lifting her trousers and rushing out of the room as I stare at Lucien.

“Would you mind not fucking my pack members on dad’s desk…” I growl.

“Serena!” he groans as I walk outside, shifting quickly and going for a run.

Liv and Carla soon join me as we run the perimeter, they don’t say a word as I use my anger to push me faster as they get left behind me.

“Want to tell me what happened?” Carla nudges me as I slow down, panting.

I lean my head against hers as I push the image to her as her eyes go wide.

“Oh!” She exclaims as I do the same to Liv.

“Well…Didn’t see that one coming…” Liv says looking towards the house where Lucien has begun to train some of the pack.

“What do I do?” I murmur, shifting, sitting on the ground as I pick at the grass with my fingers.

“Retaliate?” Liv smirks.

“You can’t be serious…” I groan laying on the ground.

“Make him jealous, I like it,” Carla smirks.

“He’s not even my mate girls!”

“You’ve had two mates already, who’s to say you’ll get another true mate…” Liv says sadly.

“She’s right Serena, you have no idea what will happen when it comes to mates, how long do you leave it before you give something a try with someone else,” Carla sits beside me as she watches her mate training with his twin, waving at him which causes him to become distracted which David took full advantage of as he put him on his ass which caused us to burst into laughter.

“That was not funny,” I hear him growl.

“Don’t get distracted by your mate, if you are in battle and your mate is with you, you cannot let that distract you. Make that a lesson to you today,” I hear Lucien say sternly.

“Uh…Serena, if we can hear them, can they hear us?” Carla says.

“Yep, the curse of being a wolf, everyone hears everything,” Liv nods.

“So, Eric likes you,” Carla nudges me as I frown in confusion.

“What?”

“Lucien’s paying attention,” Liv says in our link.

“Oh for god sake, Eric of all people,” I link to the girls.

“Is there someone else you’d rather use as a muse?” Carla giggled.

“It’s just to make Lucien jealous, it’s a bit of fun,” Liv smirks.

“Is this the best idea while I’m in heat, Lucien pinned me and I couldn’t move earlier…I’m not at my strongest right now,” I sigh sitting up.

“We’ll make sure one of us is nearby at all times,” Liv says.

“Fuck it…Fine,” I said before standing up and wiping off the grass from my lap as the girls hooked their arms around mine as we made our way back to the front of the house.

“Finally coming to train are we?” Lucien raises a brow at me.

“Hey Eric, come train with me!” I call out as I hear Lucien growl.

“One sentence and he looks like he’s ready to pounce between you already,” Carla says through the link.

“Sure!” Eric grins.

“Hand to hand, or wolf?” I ask with a wink.

“Hands-on sounds good,” He smiles lustfully, his eyes drifting over my body.

We begin to circle around as Lucien watches intently, completely ignoring the others as they train.

Eric goes to attack as I deflect him easily at first before I see something in his eyes change as he lunges at me, wiping my feet out from under me as he pins me to the ground, fingers digging into my wrists.

“So, you’ve got me, now let me up,” I gulp, my heat was bursting and yet my wolf was getting a little worried.

He growls deep as his eyes pierce mine before he’s thrown off of me.

“She said let her up!” Lucien growls at him.

“Maybe this wasn’t a great idea…” Carla says as she comes to stand by my side as I rub my sore wrists.

“You train with the girls or mated males, that is your safest option right now Serena, stop being so fucking stupid,” Lucien growls storming past me.

“Maybe I am stupid,” I growl as I walk away from training, heading indoors to get away from everyone.

“Serena get back here right now!” Lucien growls.

“Bite me!” I shout angrily flipping him the finger.

“Poking the bear!” Carla links.

“I don’t care,” I link back as I go inside, heading to my room as I just wanted a minute alone to try and gather my head through this heat I was having.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!” Lucien growls storming into my room a few minutes later.

“Excuse me? Who do you think you are talking to?!” I stand in front of him poking his chest hard.

“You’re playing with fire Serena, what did I tell you earlier?! Did you listen to nothing I said?!” He says angrily.

“It’s this fucking heat! I can’t get my head straight! I just want it to end! We thought…We thought…” I murmur.

“We? The girls were involved in this madness, weren’t they… Liv should know better…Carla won’t have a clue, but Liv…I’m going to throttle her,” He growls quietly.

“Harm my beta and you’ll face me,” I growl defensively.

“Do not forget I could take you down easily right now cupcake, do I need to repeat what happened earlier this morning?” He says getting closer.

“Is that what happened when you were with Yasmin? Teaching her a lesson?” I sneer at him.

“I had to get something out my system,” he sighs.

“Get what out of your system?” I say as I look into his eyes.

“Don’t play games with me, Serena,” he says moving my hair from my face.

“I’m not playing a game,” I answer.

“I can’t do this Serena…” He whispers.

“Do what?” my hands seem to have a life of their own as they glide over his arms, his eyes closing at my touch.

“STOP!” He growls twisting us and pushing me against the wall once more today.

“Is that what you really want Lucien?” I look into his eyes as he’s panting hard, trying not to look at me.

“It’s not right…” He murmurs.

“Says who?” I ask.

“Your father would murder me in my sleep…” He says his eyes gliding over my face.

“My father isn’t here…” I answer as his eyes dart to mine as he lets out a lustful growl.

“You’re not making this easy Serena,” He sighs.

“Life’s not easy, why should this be?” I laugh.

“Fuck…I love your laugh,” he smiles, his hand cupping my face as his thumb glides over my lip.

“Lucien,” I whisper, the heat building inside be like a fire igniting my whole body.

“Fuck it,” He says as he kisses me with a passion I had never felt before, lifting me into his arms, my legs wrapping around him.

“Hey, Serena, Carla said you came in here and Oh…Uh… I’m going to go…” Tony bursts through the door as Lucien snarls at him.

“Did you do that on purpose?!” I growl at Carla through the link.

“Do what?” She asks.

“Send Tony in?”

“I didn’t send him in…What are you talking about?” She ask.

“TONY!” I growl angrily before I hear him laugh in the corridor.

“Perhaps it was better he interrupted us,” Lucien sighs.

“You’re joking right?!” I growl as he starts to walk away.

“I’m not your true mate Serena” He sighs.

“Who’s to say I have another?! I’ve had two already!”

“You’ll find someone,” He sighs kissing my head.

“Fine then, I’ll just have Eric come in here then shall I?” I say as he growls under his breath.

“You wouldn’t…”

“I need this to stop,” I growl.

“It will stop within the week,” He says leaving me in my room.

I scream out loudly throwing a glass paperweight across the room in anger.
