Chapter 233 by GloryWrites
#233 “I Could Stay Like This Forever.
In the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, Alexander and Sophia lay intertwined on the bed, basking in the afterglow of their passionate night together. Their bodies molded perfectly against each other, limbs tangled in a loving embrace. Soft murmurs of affection and sweet nothings filled the air as they exchanged tender words, their hearts overflowing with love.
“I could stay like this forever,” Alexander whispered, his voice barely more than a breath against her skin.
Sophia smiled, her fingers tracing lazy circles on his chest. “Me too,” she murmured, her voice a soft melody that blended with the gentle rhythm of their breathing. “I never want this moment to end.”
“I don’t even feel like going to work today,” Alexander admitted.
Sophia laughed. “We didn’t save the company so you could lie down. Although I understand you. I can’t even look at a document anymore.”
A sudden knock on the door disrupted their intimate moment, but Alexander, not wanting to let go of Sophia, urged her not to answer it. “Let them wait. I want to stay like this with you,” he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Sophia chuckled softly at his reluctance, teasingly rolling her eyes. ” I’ll handle it,” she replied, untangling herself from Alexander’s embrace and padding over to the door.
Opening it, Sophia found a courier standing there, holding a package. Curiosity piqued, she accepted the package, her fingers eagerly tearing away the wrapping to reveal a heart- shaped box of chocolates nestled inside.
As Sophia opened the heart-shaped box of chocolates, her eyes widened with surprise and delight. Just as she was admiring the sweet treats, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her.
Turning around, she caught sight of Alexander entering the room shirtless, the morning light casting a golden glow on his chiseled chest and sculpted abs. His tousled hair added to his rugged charm, and Sophia couldn’t help but feel a rush of desire as she took in his irresistible appearance.
“Who was it, love?” Alexander asked with a warm smile, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he approached her. ” What’s got you smiling so early in the morning?”
Sophia couldn’t tear her gaze away from his toned physique, appreciating every contour and muscle. “Oh, just admiring the view,” she teased, her voice tinged with playful affection.
Alexander’s eyebrows raised in mock surprise as he glanced at the heart- shaped box in Sophia’s hands. “Ah, I see you’ve found a new admirer in London,” he joked, a smirk playing on his lips.
Sophia rolled her eyes with a grin, knowing full well that Alexander was just teasing her. “As if anyone could compare to you,” she retorted, reaching for the card nestled amidst the chocolates.
It was from Becky. The card read:
“Dear Sophia,
I hope this little surprise brings a smile to your face. I wanted to share some sweet news with you. Thanks to you, I and Benjamin are officially a couple. It’s amazing how life can take unexpected turns, and I couldn’t be happier to share that journey with Benjamin by my side. You’ve been an incredible friend, and I’m so grateful for everything we’ve shared.
Sending you lots of love, Becky”
As Alexander watched Sophia, still in her thin nightgown, enjoying breakfast and smiling at the card from Becky, he felt a surge of warmth flood his chest. The soft morning light cast a gentle glow on her features, accentuating the delicate curves of her body and the sparkle in her eyes. She looked so beautiful, so content, and at that moment, Alexander knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
It was time to take a more serious step with her, to make their commitment official. He didn’t want to waste another moment before calling her his wife, before declaring to the world that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. They had overcome so much together and faced countless challenges and obstacles, and yet here they were, stronger than ever, with a future that looked brighter than ever before.
As Sophia looked up at him, her eyes curious and searching, Alexander’s heart skipped a beat. He could see the question forming on her lips, the silent inquiry about what he was thinking. But instead of answering truthfully, he chose to deflect, to keep his thoughts to himself for now.
“Oh, just thinking about how lucky I am to have you,” he replied with a smile, reaching across the table to take her hand in his. “And how delicious those chocolates look. Mind if I have one?”
Sophia chuckled her laughter like music to his ears, and nodded, pushing the box of chocolates towards him. As Alexander selected a piece and popped it into his mouth, he couldn’t shake the feeling that today was the beginning of something new and wonderful for them. And he couldn’t wait to see where their journey together would take them next.
