Chapter In Regret Novel 58

"Here is a letter from Manchesta Academy, they are inviting me back," I said, my voice trembling with a mix of disbelief and excitement. "They want me to return and complete my werewolf combat
courses."
Manchesta Academy, is a prestigious institution with a long history, known for accepting all races-werewolves, humans, witches, elves, vampires. Their creed was peaceful coexistence, and they strictly forbade conflicts based on race. The curriculum was extensive, and only the elite of
each race were invited to teach there
ve attended this school before, but I hadn't awakened my wolf by the time I graduated. Because of that, I couldn't take part in the werewolf combat courses, which left me in a delayed graduation status. Now, this year is my final chance. If I don't complete the courses, I'll be expelled.
When I received the letter, I felt a mix of excitement and relief. The process of applying for reinstatement is notoriously difficult-some say it can take six months to a year. I didn't have that kind of time. If I had to wait that long, I'd be expelled before I even got the chance to finish.
But then, out of the blue, the school sent me an invitation to resume classes. I was shocked, and a
wave of surprise washed over me. It was such an unexpected turn of events that I didn't even stop to
wonder how they knew I'd finally awakened my wolf. All I could think about was how grateful I was to have this opportunity.
Lorik's smile grew wider. "That's good news," he said. He came over to me and seemed to want to hug me, but I dodged him.
His expression looked a little lost as I held up the notice and said, "Maybe I could live inside the school, that's a pretty logical reason for a separation, isn't it? It won't arouse anyone's suspicion." "Absolutely not!" Lorik balked.
Perhaps seeing the doubt in my expression, he said, "I mean...... The college dormitories are being renovated, and priority is being given to students who don't have a place to live, and you obviously don't fit the bill."
I had already gone to my bedroom to pack my things, and Lorik followed me, still reminding me,
"You only need to bring your training gear, the school provides most of the supplies, so you don't need to pack much."
I paused, glancing over my shoulder at him. "How do you know so much about it?"

He shrugged, his expression nonchalant. "I have my ways," he said, but there was something in his Tone that made me suspect he wasn't telling me everything.
I didn't have time to dwell on it, though. A week later, I found myself sitting in a classroom at Manchesta Academy, my heart brimming with excitement.
The school's classically beautiful buildings, with their white Roman stone columns and octagonal
fountains, evoked a sense of timeless grandeur. The wide training grounds, designed for students of
various races to hone their combat skills, stretched out in the distance.
The sight stirred a mix of familiarity and unfamiliarity in me, along with a spark of excitement. I had once been unqualified to step foot in those training grounds, but now, at last, I had the chance to see them up close.
What makes me even happier is that I'm finally free of Lorik.
I could feel him clinging to me tighter and tighter these days, wanting to be by my side at all times,
and being able to study at the academy was just the right opportunity for me to have some free time.
The classroom buzzed with energy as I stepped inside, only to be surprised by the sight of my sister,
Alice. She was also here. It seemed that we were in the same class.
At that moment, she noticed me, and flashed a malicious smile.
She mouthed the word, "Bastard."
I ignored her provocation. Since childhood, she's always pulled petty pranks to get our parents'
attention, desperately seeking their affection-how pathetic.
Completely disregarding her, I chose a seat and sat down. She paused, clearly thrown off by my
indifference, then her face flushed with anger.
Class hadn't started yet, and my classmates were eagerly discussing our teacher. My curiosity was piqued as well.
"He's the best combat instructor in the academy," one of the girls whispered to her friend. "And not to mention, he's incredibly handsome."
I smiled at their excitement, feeling a flicker of anticipation myself. Then, the door opened, and a familiar figure walked into the room.
My breath caught in my throat as I recognized the man standing at the podium. No... it can't be.
But it was.

The classroom buzzed with anticipation as the door swung open, revealing none other than
Lorik-my Alpha. His presence commanded immediate attention, the air thickening with the weight of his authority.
My breath caught in my throat as his eyes locked onto mine, a gaze so intense it seemed to pierce right through me. The girls around me erupted in excited whispers, their eyes wide with admiration. "Is he looking at us?" one of them whispered, her voice barely contained excitement. "Why would the professor look over here?"
