Chapter 54

They were marched down a long, pristine, white corridor with cameras set at different intervals and angles that tracked their every move. It looked impenetrable. No windows or doors, no light switches or carpets. No people milling about. Just walls that contained cameras. Concrete walls to absorb low frequencies; if he used his power the entire building will move, but not vibrate. His power was useless here.

The security contingent stopped right in front of a white wall. To an onlooker this may have looked out of the ordinary, almost stupid, but the moment they approached, a mechanism clicked twice and the wall opened.

They pushed the men through the opening and stepped into a domed chamber. Several people in white coats stood beside a gurney, like doctors waiting for their patients.

“No!” Callum suddenly stopped walking and resisted the two men who pushed him forward. He fell to the floor and the men hurled him back up again.

He caught a glimpse of Gideon who seemed to be calm. Why wasn’t he resisting?
