Zenora

Chapter Epilogue

Storyteller point of view:

When the Princess left the cave, after about ten minutes, no one asked a single thing. They knew not to mess around with her, at this moment. The group, including their newly acquired friend, flew back to the castle. Yes, they flew, the seven people and one wolf, sat on the back of the dragon.

Ayinthur had growled, when Emily had asked him to carry them, but he couldn’t deny any requests that his saviour asked of him.

It was after midnight and the darkness began to fade away.

The war that was still going on, on the training fields, came to an end, as soon as the rebels saw the obsidian dragon. Ayinthur was restored in all its glory, and breathing purple fire onto them, so they fled the fields, returning to wherever it is, they came from.

Everything turned back to how it was before, with some minor changes. Well… minor?

Within a week, Bastet’s fur and feathers, had fully changed into an orange and red coloured coat. Cirilya had told Emily, that the colours confirmed her masters character. As red and orange stood for ferocity and courage, with a slight pinch of stubbornness. Emily had laughed about that, but liked her gryphon in this colour a lot.

After another week, Bastet’s eggs came out. And like the colours they presented, four looked like their mother, all red and orange. Two were ‘normal’ coloured brown gryphons, and one of them was pitch black, just like its father. Their sexes couldn’t be determined yet, but looking at how the black hatchling acted, just the same as his father, it was high-likely a boy.

Dennis and Anna, officially became a couple, and Natalya and Tom were still together as well.

Axel, Melina and Jock, were furiously trained by Emily. And just like she had predicted, the long forgotten hunter abilities could be taught to others, if they were willing to open their minds to it. So, after a month, they were officially named as Rangers, with Axel as their leader.

In this same month, the servants house was completed, and all of its residents took care of each other, their life stock and the farming fields.

Archeops went home to his family, and found out that his wife was pregnant, with his fourth child.

Ursai went to his mate and cub in the forest, and their other cub Koda, was growing exponentially in the great care of Axel.

Rhydon on the other hand, he unfortunately died of old age. There wasn’t much knowledge about Rhydians, but Rhydon had showed Emily a vision of everything he had experienced. All of his adventures and things he had been through his whole life, were shown to her, and she knew that he has lived his life to the fullest. She was glad that he had spent his last time in peace, basking in the sun on a green pasture, with plenty of fruit to eat when he wanted.

Another few weeks later, Brock and Emily got married. They had a beautiful ceremony, which might be told in detailed version in the next story.

Emily was now four and a half months pregnant, and showing her big belly, with the twins growing steadily. Her dad already arranged for the Queen's chambers to be ready, for when the babies would be born. As this is the biggest room in the castle, and adjoined to it, there was a smaller room to be the nursery.

Emily was relieved, that she wasn’t forced to use the Mage’s Fury during the battle, and she slightly hoped that if one of her children would become a mage, that they didn’t inherit this specific ability. But on the other hand, all of their children would be guided by great and powerful people, which Emily could call, her dearest friends.
