Chapter 449
Bridget dealt cards and ran fast. As the name implied, whoever played out all the cards won. Whoever got an upside-down card in the first round could discard cards first. In the next rounds, those who won got to discard cards first.
The upside-down card was sent to Arya. Bridget smiled and said, "Arya, you're very lucky.”
Arya grabbed it and gathered the cards that Bridget had dealt. "Bridget, do you want to make a bet?"
"Okay, you and my brother have lots of money. Let's gamble with money." Bridget did not hesitate. "Each of the rest cards represents 100 dollars.” She said. "Is that okay?"
"Okay."
As Bridget said, Arya was very lucky today.
Everyone fanned out their cards and waited for Arya to discard them first.
"45678910JQKA."
"No."
"No."
Xavier stared at Arya.
"Why are you looking at me?”
"It's your turn.”
"Two." Arya played a two".
In this game, there were only one “two’ and three “aces’.
Single card “two’, a pair of “aces’ were the biggest, while three “aces’ were the bomb.
Without a bomb, “two’ was the biggest.
Coincidentally, none of the three had a bomb.
Jacob frowned. He had an ominous feeling.
"You can discard." He said.
"A pair of ten’. I play out all my cards.” Arya spread her hands. "I win. Give me the money."
The rest three didn't even discard one card. They looked at each other in confusion. Did she win? "Brother, what cards do you have?"
Bridget was afraid that he was cheating and let Arya win on purpose.
However, after having a look at his cards, she was amused.
"Haha."
Well, Xavier's cards were like this, three “three’, three “four’, three “five’, a pair of “seven’ and “eight. It would be okay if he could play first. But in this round, he could only pass.
He got the least formidable cards.
If it weren't for him and Arya sitting opposite each other, Bridget would have thought that he had given his biggest card to Arya.
"Funny?" Xavier dropped his cards. "Give my wife the money."
"Next round, maybe I'll win.” Bridget gave the cards to Arya. "The winner needs to shuffle the cards." Arya grabbed the card and looked at Bridget. "You have to pay first. I might forget to ask you to pay later.”
"I'll remind you."
"No."
"Okay, okay." Bridget scratched her hair. "You're stingy."
Arya laughed. "You guys need to pay a few thousand to me."
Bridget was reluctant to pay. She didn't go to work and didn't have much money in her pocket. Arya was really lucky. She won three games in a row.
Bridget frowned. "What's wrong with these cards?"
It was too strange.
Arya had now won almost ten thousand dollars after three rounds.
"Arya, have you ever learned to gamble?" Bridget felt that she had underestimated Arya.
"Yes." Arya was shuffling the cards.
"What?" Bridget's eyes widened. "You have learned to play cards?"
Arya looked at Bridget and teased, "You forgot what I've experienced.”
Bridget frowned and didn't understand. "What do you mean?"
Jacob knocked her on the head. "Focus on the game.”
Bridget didn't understand. But Jacob did.
Xavier looked at Arya...
