Your Love Is My Weapon

Chapter 392

"Xavier..."

Her grip tightened unwittingly.

She had been waiting for Xavier to come back for almost two months. As time went by, the hope was slimmer.

Her vision was blurred gradually.

She was heartbroken as if her heart was pricked.

At this moment, a knock at the door of the office jolted Arya back to her thoughts. She wiped her face, put the ring back on her finger, cleared her throat and said, "Come in."

The secretary opened the door and saw Edward come in with his suitcase.

Arya was stunned.

Didn't he just get married?

Why was he back?

"Where's Jacob?"

He went back from abroad and called Jacob, but Jacob didn't answer, so he had to come to the company.

Arya looked at him. "Maybe he's busy. Did you come back only to find him?"

Edward put his suitcase aside and sat on the sofa. He didn't look very energetic, and his tone was deep. "I have questions for him."

Arya stood up, walked around the desk, walked to the door and looked at the secretary. "Get a wet towel.”

The secretary quickly went to the toilet and soaked a towel. She squeezed some water out and brought it over.

Arya handed him a towel. "Just got off the plane?"

Edward took the towel, wiped his face, and replied, "Yes."

Arya walked to the desk and called Jacob. The phone was on, and she said, "Come over."

Jacob soon came over, only to find Edward was in his office. He raised his eyebrows and said coldly, "Why are you here?"

Arya frowned at Jacob and asked. "Why are you so brash?"

Jacob turned around and left. "I have nothing to say to him."

"Jacob."

Arya and Edward shouted at him.

Edward stood up from the sofa and walked towards Jacob. "What did you mean on the phone that day?"

"Nothing." Jacob didn't want to answer.

Arya didn't know what was going on between them, and she wasn't interested in it. "If you want to quarrel, go outside and leave me alone.”

Jacob glared at Edward and turned to Arya. "I've arranged for those two."

Arya leaned against the desk and nodded. She lowered her head and rubbed her eyebrows. Jacob walked out of the office, and Edward followed.

Jacob didn't go back to his office, but took the elevator to the underground garage.

Edward followed him and said, "Jacob, tell me what you meant that day."

Jacob took a breath and kept his temper. "Nothing."

Jacob glanced at him. "Why didn't tell me you're getting married back then?"

Edward compressed his lips and said after a long time, "The bride's not Bridget. I don't care who I marry. I got married as I want to reassure my parents. It's not my intention, so I didn't say it." "Then why did you tell Bridget?" Jacob didn't understand.

"I didn't tell her. My mother sent the invitation secretly.” Edward was in a dilemma now.

He loved Bridget and didn't have the heart to hurt Demi.

Jacob trusted Edward.

"Since you're married, just go back and live your happy life." Jacob turned around.

Edward stopped him. "Bridget... was really heartless to me."

"Heartless?" Jacob paused and looked back at Edward. "You said Bridget was heartless?"
