Chapter 71: - Stock
–Unique skill [Stock]. Like me, Hana coincidentally acquired a unique skill.
Hana, who heard my murmur1 then said with a perplexed expression.
"Unique skills are skills that no one besides the user has, right? I heard many of them have incredibly good abilities."
"Aa, but there are some exceptions, though."
For example, [Transfer Within Dungeon] before awakening.
"Now the question is what ability your unique skill has. Let's check it."
"Un, alright!"
Then, Hana and I looked at the ability of [Stock] together. And this was what's written there.
________
Stock Lv1
Condition: Copying Lv1 or less skills possessed by someone by directly touching the target.
Number of copies: Up to one type
Copy time: Up to 10 minutes (Can be extended by touching the target again)
________
"Eeh!"
I had already expected it from the name 技能模倣 ‘Ginoumohou’ In the raws. It actually means Skill Copy/Imitating. However, in Japanese, there is this thing called ‘Furigana’ which is a small kana that is written right above the Kanji to tell people how the Kanji was pronounced or how the writer wants the reader to pronounce the Kanji. In this case, it’s Stock. Thus, I only write Stock as the skill name.'>2, but directly seeing its effect confirmed how ridiculous this ability is. What the heck is this, a cheat?
Although at the moment the skill could only copy Lv 1 or less skills, up to 1 type of skill, and limited to 10 minutes, the skill limitation most likely will increase as the skill level goes up.
And unlike my [Transfer Within Dungeon], it will be the easy-to-understand type of skill which effects will double as the level goes up. What's even more amazing was how the condition for copying skills was dependent on the level of the skill.
From the explanation, there seems to be no restriction where she could only copy basic skills and not advanced skills. Imagine if someone, whose level was 3 digits or lower, could use an advanced skill. Just the thought of it scares me because advanced skills cannot be acquired unless one has exceeded level 1000.
Of course, she might not be able to use an advanced skill at a low level since when it comes to advanced skills, the MP required to use it would be higher than basic or intermediate skills.
However, there are also skills that didn't use any MP or only used OO% of the possessed MP among advanced skills. Which means, if she copied a suitable skill, she should be able to use it well.
And then, the place where Hana could maximize the ability of her unique skill was surely in a party. As long as she has the understanding of all members of the party, it will be possible to use her skill to increase the number of swordsmen, tanks, or wizards according to the situation just by borrowing their skills.
"No, that’s not all."contemporary romance
Here, I came up with a very ridiculous idea.
That idea was to have Hana copy my [Transfer Within Dungeon] so we could raise our level together. Frankly, it looks like parasitizing, but I think there is no problem because, for me, Hana was more important than such rules.
However, this method will be possible only when the level limit in the condition of [Stock] has exceeded the level of [Transfer Within Dungeon].
At the moment [Transfer Within Dungeon] was level 14, and I will surely continue to raise its level from now on. Therefore, the time Hana could copy it might never come.
However, I should keep that kind of situation in mind as a possibility. Because who knows the day when the level limit itself will disappear might come.
Next to me who was thinking like that, Hana was also pondering about her skill.
"Nee, Onii-chan. Is this a good skill? Or bad?"
"Well, it is a ridiculous skill to the extent that if you announce its ability, you will surely get invited by every guild all over Japan right away."
"Really?! I can't believe this ability is that great… Hmm, but, but, although I am happy that the skill itself was great, I don't want to get involved in troublesome situations because of that."
Any adventurers who wanted to gain fame most likely would be delighted with all their might if they were placed in this situation but apparently, it was different for Hana.
"What, you don't seem to especially participate because you want to work as an adventurer? Or rather, why did you want to be an adventurer in the first place? For accident measures?"
"T-that's a secret! Something like trying to disclose a maiden's privacy…Onii-chan is the worst!"
"Eeh~?"
It seems I have been scolded unreasonably. But, even the angry Hana was so cute too.
"But if that's the case, it's better to hide Stock when you report that you have successfully acquired the status to Katagiri-san because there is a possibility it would be spread everywhere. For that reason, you should only tell this skill to the people you really trust."
"But is it really possible to hide it? I might have to show my status screen when I give my report."
"Mu… That's true… No, wait."
As I came up with a certain method, I told her with a smile.
"There is a good solution. Let's try it as an experiment of Stock ability."

- I think you know but this word refers to Rin's last murmur in the previous chapter.
