Chapter 255
“Why would she come to you? Doesn’t she have the Howard family backing her up?” Rosie couldn’t help but frown.
“Who knows,” Natalie replied nonchalantly.
Rosie turned to face Natalie, “Wait, what did you just say?”
“Who knows what’s going on with her,” Natalle pondered before answering.
“No, I mean, what did you tell her on the phone, the last thing?” Rosie asked, her brow furrowed,
“…See you tonight?”
Rosie’s eyes went wide with disbelief, “Are you out of your mind, Natalie! Do you really need to meet with a loser? Wouldn’t it be nicer to just chill out at the hotel?”
Natalie mulled it over, “You’ve got a point.”
“But Gracia said she’d swing by our cast’s hotel, not that I’m going to her.”
“I actually want to see what kind of stunt she’s trying to pull! What kind of storm can this little siren stir up now!” Rosie said as she stuffed Natalie’s costume angrily into a bag.
After dinner with the crew that evening, Natalie and Rosie, toting some fruit they’d picked up from the local store, strolled leisurely toward their hotel.
“Running a fruit stand here is like a license to print money. Look at this, fifty bucks for just a few pieces of fruit.” Rosie complained, carrying a small bunch of cherries.
At the thought of it, she turned to Natalie and asked, “Do you think that… what’s his name… Bardley, running an ice cream shop at the school, is it also a gold mine?”
“Bradley,” Natalie corrected her.
“Bradley,” Rosie repeated.
“Most college students are treasured by their parents these days and get plenty of pocket money. They won’t even blink at spending twenty bucks on an ice cream, so of course, it’s a gold mine,” Natalie responded.
“So that means Bradley is pretty loaded,” Rosie grabbed Natalie’s sleeve and casually asked.
Natalie thought back to when she first met Bradley in high school. He was driving a car that she recalled looked like a Porsche, more of an off–road type, and he mentioned it belonged to his dad,
But back then, a college student who drove their car to school was definitely from a well–off family.
“His parents seem pretty impressive, both high–earning professors, and they get these advisory positions in companies where they don’t even have to punch in, just lend their names. But I don’t know exactly how rich they are.”
Natalie wouldn’t pry into such matters. Her knowledge of Bradley was limited to childhood days of dining out and playing together, picking up bits and pieces from their conversations.
“Anyway, the Gonzalez family is definitely not poor.”
“Why are you asking about this?” Natalie eyed Rosie with a hint of suspicion.

“Good idea, but you’d need a million in hand to start something like that, Natalie dropped her suspicions and commented, “Otherwise, you coift even afford the franchise fee for a bubble tea shop
The two chatted about whether a fried chicken joint, a burnto shop, or a bubble tes place would be more profitable as they reached the hotel lobby,
