Reporters from mainstream media outlets, including the Education Network, the National Academic Journal, Scientific Digest, and the Biology Frontline, were present. Even journalists from the Elgerson News Channel showed up.

Joseph was stunned by the media presence. “W–What’s going on?”

Miranda was equally surprised and glanced at Madison and Sebastian with a questioning look that seemed to ask, “Did you two arrange this?”

Sebastian waved dismissively while Madison shook her head.

So, who was responsible for this?

The reporters quickly picked up on the situation as they thrust their microphones toward Sophie and bombarded her with questions.

“Can you explain the CPRT machine incident that Miranda mentioned earlier?”

“What details can you share about the fire safety rectifications?”

“Would you call this an academic discrimination?”

“Is there any truth to the claims of harassment and slander?”

“Are there some unresolved tensions between the professors? It feels like the students might be caught in the middle?”

Sophie was backed into a corner, overwhelmed by the cameras and microphones thrust into her face.. She stammered, “I… you all… stop filming!”

Despite her usual boldness, she was at a loss for words and couldn’t finish a single sentence.

Seeing this, Yasmine pushed her way through the throng of reporters to help Sophie. But there were too many people in her way.

Filled with regret, she muttered, “I didn’t mean for this to happen… I’m so sorry, Aunt Sophie…”

Joseph overheard her and grabbed her arm. “What did you just say? Sorry? What exactly did you do?”

Yasmine jumped at his tone and stammered, “I.. I just sent a tip about Miranda’s lab to several news networks‘ social media accounts. I thought they might cover it…”

She never expected them to show up in droves. And now that she saw the lab for herself, she realized Miranda wasn’t exaggerating.

He growled, “Who told you to do that? You just acted on your own without thinking! What were you thinking?”

Tears welled up in her eyes as she stammered, “But… didn’t you say the bigger the incident, the better?”

Joseph fell silent. She had only followed his advice. After all, wasn’t it true that reputable media had a wider reach than the Campus Daily?

Then, the crowd around them began to murmur.

“So, there’s a whole story behind this lab, huh?

“Yeah, it makes sense. Three students wouldn’t just build their own lab without a reason.”

“I think Bedford College really needs to clean up its act. It’s a mess…”

Hendrix and Beckett watched the spectacle unfold, and their faces darkened. As they heard the whispers around them, their embarrassment Intensified.

Hendrix glared at Joseph. “What are you standing there for? How long are you planning to keep making a fool of yourself?”

Joseph snapped out of his daze and quickly pushed through the reporters. He promptly ushered Sophie and her students away.

Theodore turned to Joll. “Should we leave, too?”

Joli shook his head. “Don’t you want to see inside?”

Theodore’s eyes lit up. Want to? Of course, he did! This was a dream come true!

Just then, a burst of celebratory cannon fire echoed, and rows of flower arrangements were lined up neatly at the lab’s entrance.

At the same time, a swarm of drones appeared in the sky. After a stunning display, they formed words above. “Congratulations on the lab opening!”

Miranda instinctively glanced at Paul and Sam.

It didn’t take long to rule Paul out. He wasn’t one for flashy gestures since this wasn’t his style. Which left

‘only…

Sam met Miranda’s gaze and mouthed, “Do you like it?”
