Chapter 214 Instinctive Reaction to Throw Her Down
Go. I can have a better life without you.
From then on, no one can have my love.
Since the day Sonia left, Dixon had been regretting his action day and night.
When Sonia came home, it was Victor who opened the door. It must be Quincy who picked him up. The little boy's eyes were shining and he was proud. "Mommy, I saw you on TV!"
Sonia entered the door with a smile, got off high heels and still held Carl. Victor looked back and forth at Carl. "Why didn't my uncle appear on TV today?"
"Hmm?" Indeed. It seems that Carl was not interviewed by reporters and media.
Carl said lightly, "I don't like exposure."
Sonia entered the room, with Victor following her. When she changed her clothes and came out in pajamas, she suddenly saw that Carl had fallen asleep against the sofa. He leaned sideways against the cushion, his appearance very innocent.
"Is uncle too tired?"
Victor asked Sonia softly.
Sonia nodded. "Yes, let's not disturb him. Let's eat some noodles and then go to sleep."
Victor was obedient. Sonia gave him a bowl of egg noodles. After eating with a swish, he took a bath.
When he came out from the bath, he saw Carl still sleeping on the sofa. Sonia was wearing pajamas, with water dripping from her hair. She hesitated for a while and took out a blanket from the room.
She came forward with a blanket in her hand and gently covered it on Carl.
But unexpectedly, it was this action that suddenly woke Carl from his sleep. He was like a machine that was running all the time. Once the outside world was subjected to any force, it immediately triggered the body's alert system. He suddenly jumped up, grabbed Sonia's hand and pressed her whole person under him.
The soft body made Carl stunned, only to find that Sonia was beneath him.
At the moment, it was quiet in the living room. The moonlight shone through the floor-to-ceiling window. The posture of two people was very ambiguous. Carl held his hands on the face of Sonia. At that moment, his heart suddenly missed a beat.
It was like stepping on an empty staircase.
Sonia was beneath him, and her delicate skin was as white as a porcelain doll. She was staring blankly at Carl, a lion suddenly became fierce. Her mouth was open. She was probably frightened.
Two people just looked at each other for a long time. Sonia frowned slightly.
She seemed to have discovered something. Her emotions hurried over her eyes, and then turned into nothingness for a moment.
She made Carl a little defensive.
"You fall asleep, I'm afraid you'll catch a cold..." Sonia didn't want to be silent anymore. She found a topic and pointed to the blanket that was thrown to the ground. "I wanted to give you a blanket..."
Carl pressed his forehead and got up from Sonia. "Sorry, instinctive reaction."
Instinctive reaction?
Sonia looked at him doubtfully, propped up and asked, "Have you practiced?"
Carl was shocked. He asked vaguely, "Hmm?"
"I mean, have you trained before... Taekwondo, judo or so on?"
"Hand-to-hand combat."
He didn't want to hide it. Carl jumped off the sofa, picked up the blanket from the ground, hung it on his hand and then went forward to rub Sonia's hair. "Go in and sleep, I was so sleepy."
This attitude was totally different from that of him who just wanted to beat people.
Sonia watched Carl walk in the room doubtfully. His tall and straight back was thin but strong, just like the kind of man who have experienced countless punches.
Sonia touched her chin and thought, "Will Carl's family do martial arts business. They linked with Japanese people?"
But she didn't think much about it. It was an incident. She went back to her room and closed the door.
Hearing the sound of closing the door, Carl in another room breathed a sigh of relief.
For a long time, the man looked at the blanket in his hand and grabbed it like a deadly rope.
His fingers clenched unconsciously.
