Chapter 30 Meeting Her Again in Such a Big World is Like a Dream
The flight lasted nearly 14 hours.
Brodie got off the plane. After two hours and a half, he finally traced down the address, a European-style villa. As he got closer to the villa, his heart was throbbing with intense excitement and the heart rate gradually increased from 70 to 100.
Brodie stopped at the door.
He didn't dare to move forward.
He even didn't have the guts to knock on the door.
Brodie felt timid and apprehensive as he neared her house. It was the first time he had experienced such a strong feeling. He tried his best to calm down and get his breath.
After a long time.
Brodie rang the doorbell.
No one answered.
Brodie heaved a sigh of relief. But soon after, he was deeply disappointed.
Brodie rang the doorbell again. He was so nervous that he held his breath.
At this time, he heard quick footsteps and a great deal of puffing, "Wait a moment. I'm coming!"
The person inside didn't open the door immediately.
She asked, "Who is out there?"
Brodie clearly heard a woman's voice now and he could tell she was not Luna. Brodie felt a pang of disappointment. He was almost freaking out. But he got used to such feeling. He told himself it was fine. Even if he had to undergo disappointment for the rest of his life, he would not give up looking for Luna.
Brodie cleared his throat, "Sorry to bother you. I'm Brodie Melton."
This time.
The door was opened.
It was a young girl with a ponytail. She looked sixteen or seventeen. She was pretty and gave people a refreshing feeling. Her eyes narrowed into a slit as she smiled, making her look cute. The girl had a baby face, and she looked at him with luminous eyes.
Daisy could not believe that Brodie would find this place so quickly, so she asked in disbelief, "Are you Brodie? Do you know Luna? How did you find this place?"
The moment Brodie heard "Luna" he was shocked. He stood still. After for a while, he came to himself, "Luna? Is Luna at your house?"
Daisy let him in and replied with joy, "Yes. By the way, you are better looking than on TV or in the newspapers."
Brodie followed her into the villa.
He saw a sea of flowers as he stepped in. A lot of crabapple flowers were planted in the courtyard, making the whole villa full of life.
It was Luna's favorite flower.
Brodie was speechless all of a sudden. He didn't know where to start.
He followed the talkative little girl and listened to her talking about some trivial things. His heart was pounding as he walked into the villa. He asked, "Where's Luna? Where is she?" Daisy stopped by a tree with Brodie.
There was a serious look on Daisy's charming face. She stared at the man in front of her, "Are you here to bring Aunt Luna home?"
"Aunt?" Brodie knew who she referred to soon. He narrowed his eyes and asked nervously, "You call her aunt. Who are you?"
"I'm her niece!" Daisy said without thinking.
"Are you Jason's niece?" Brodie looked at her coldly.
Daisy was astonished, "You even know that?"
"So Luna has been with your uncle for the past two years, right?" Brodie got jealous.
Daisy understood what Brodie meant by saying that. She looked straight into his eyes, "Who else she could be with?"
Daisy's words stunned Brodie.
He was speechless.
'She is right. Who else Luna could be with?'
It was a great fortune to find Luna. Brodie didn't dare to ask more. Luna suffered a lot and was forced to marry Jason. How could he be jealous? Who was he to get jealous? He looked down upon himself.
It was the first time in his life that he hated himself so much.
When he came, Brodie swore that he would be kind to Luna, treat her far better than anyone else in the world, and make up for all the grievances and pain she suffered over the years.
He planned all these well, but he always lost control of himself and got jealous. He got so possessive of Luna that he cared about everything to do with her.
So Brodie changed the subject, "Where's your aunt? Let me see her."
Hs said the last few words in a lower voice, as if he was begging Daisy.
As Daisy noticed this, her nose twitched.000
