Unknown Magic (3)

Chapter 5

The cool crisp morning that soon turned into a warm air greeted us as we began to say our farewells to the packs that were leaving by boat as trekking through the forest would take months to get to any civilization. Upon most of them leaving I never realized how packed to be emptying out the harbour would be since they had come to now most of them leaving. Guess more of them came for their fill of seeing a unique couple with unique children.

Most of them had given their acknowledgement that it was an honours to meet our family while too was nice to have great party. Even that we just said our usual goodbyes to slowly the mingling of people came to the right size for our pack.

Wolf and I were now saying our greetings to this one pack couple in particular. They were gorgeous, thought I could already tell one was alpha and the other his Luna. As the golden crowns on their forehead shone beautiful against their tinted milk chocolate skin.

Approaching’s us the alpha shook hands with Wolf while the lady reached for both of my hands.

“Thank you for celebrating with us.” I spoke and the golden- green eyes predominantly reminded me of the sun shining on a hot summer day.

The male spoke taking in his wife wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

“Truly the honour is ours…to meet such a powerful couple” the male said, his accent a bit thicker than his wife’s.

The lady then stared between the both of us and laughed. “I do not think we truly introduced ourselves fully” I joined her laughter and placed a palm on my chest.

“Well, you know I am Asema and that is Wolf, you?”

She smiled, “I am Salana and my husband is Amari” she points to herself than her husband.

“Well, it’s nice to officially meet you…do you plan on staying another day?” Wolf questioned and I eyed that they were heading for a boat but I realized they didn’t have bags either.

“Well, we would like to know you a bit better, if that is okay with you?”

Silence between the four of us.

I will say yes, only to understand their true intentions, known for us or know our tactics’ Wolf thoughts to me.

Okay’ was all I could reply.

“we would more than happy to accommodate you for one more day” Wolf said and gestured us towards the village. To that we followed and began walking amongst our pack as they took notice. But realized it was nothing.

A small hand clamped into mine and twirled themselves around then tried to keep to my walking strides.

Salana walked in beat with me smirking at my daughter.

“She is beautiful” she commented.

I smiled in return and held onto Alice hand as she moved around.

“Thank you” I replied, then looked up at her and realized Wolf and Amari were closer to the water talking about who knows what, “do you have children, as I see you may have not brought them as others did same and not.”

She smiles watching Alice, “we do, but we weren’t sure how the crowds would be here, so we left them at home with their family.”

We turned, returning to the boys.

“I guess that is a safe but” I smirked along with her. Rejoining the boys, we walked as a group again on the hard stone beach that was connected to the huts with further away tree line.

“What did you think of the ceremony?” Wolf asked them both.

Mama” Alice whispered and I slowed down to crouch being at eye level with her. Facing the face. The others stopped and waited on us.

Yes dear?” I spoke the native language.

She came into my face and smiled, “Don’t worry, their intentions are pure.” And smiled then ran away joining the other children on playing ball in the distance.

I watched after her in amazement still crouched but soon rose turning to the paused group. Wolf too looked shocked but soon he understood nodding to me. While that others looked at me confused since they did not understand our pack language. Since every Lycan has their own language within itself. But there was also the common Lycan tongue. So of course, Salana and Amari had no idea what Alice said.

I returned to them and we continued conversing about our packs and what we planned on in the future.

Apparently, they travelled far as Ethiopia to come see this coronation. Their pack is a little bit bigger than Hunter Forest but they did let us know that if we ever needed any help, the would be there for us.

Switching route, we were returning to the middle of the village where once the main bonfire burned that now left charcoal.

“So, I have a curious question,” Amari started as we slowed and sat down on a table bench. “Was she your meant mate or was she someone you truly wanted?”

As I sat down on the creaking wooden bench, I looked to Wolf for his answer as he never really tod me.

He only gave knowing nod placing his hand over mine. “both, but mainly I was struck by her beauty and heart.”

I smiled back, “Corny to say” I replied.

“Indeed” he agreed.

So, it is true, mate magic and true captivating beauty” Salana said with a heavy but light accent.

“You wanted us to prove something else?” I asked laughing, though Amari and Salana stared at me confused, to that I had to ask.

“What is wrong?”

“We knew you could understand Hunter Forest native language, but we didn’t think you would understand our language as well.” Amari spoke the looked to Wolf who turned to me as well. Though his face was unreadable as if trying to function everything at once.

“What other talents do you hide amongst this pack?” Salana joked, obviously giving us the impression, she was not expecting a answer.

Wolf folded his hands under his chin smiling along with the joke, “I guess we have many that are yet to be discovered.”

I allowed myself to laugh with all three of them yet curious to why I could understand, Wolf language, Giants language and now these Lycans language. Something was behind that reason I just don’t know what.

As for the rest of the day we allowed them to roam around our pack getting to know the individuals while Wolf and I sought to have some family time with Junior and Alice. Who we found later late afternoon by the beach.

The sun was only a few hours to setting but still high in the sky to give a beating hot summer day a wonderful touch. I saw on a blanket watching Wolf play with the kids by the water as it was lapping around their ankles every once and awhile. Wolf went to being a piggy back horse to snugging Junior onto his back spinning them around, my assumption to make Junior dizzy. To what I saw a giggling Junior landing making a small splashes and walked oddly onto the shore. Though Wolf kept a close eye on him making sure he was till safe. Alice soon found her way to me plopping down into my crossed legs and land her back to my front and I wrapped my arms around her small body frame.

“I love you mama” She whispered.

Wolf

He looked back briefly to see his two favourite girls cuddling one another and giggling. Though he still kept an eye on Junior as he asked to be spun again and now his footing was even more unbalanced. Luckily Wolf was there and eventually lightly suggested they return to where Mama and Ally were. Junior agreed and full blast went to the blanket arriving there in seconds. Wolf took his time only because he slowly wanted to take in the wonderful view of his family.

Dare say he was proud because all what had happened just to receive such a beautiful family. He arrived at the blanket where Junior was now making between rock and sand castles and Asema still had her arms wrapped around their daughter. He plumped himself down slightly shifting the blanket sending puffs of sand up. Asema eyes reached his and electric feeling felt like a pulse. They smiled at one another as if it was both a private message, they wanted this all to last.

“Mama” Alice perched up through Asema hung hair as if it was a waterfall hiding her. Wolf tried not to laugh as she they had done that on purpose. But gave his attention even though Alive asked for Asema.

“Yes sweetie,” Asema voice was sweet and beautiful. Wolf always melted and felt amazing just hearing it. To savouring everything about her and appreciated his family.

“You have element power.” It wasn’t a question, sounded more like a curious thought. To which Wolf watched Asema.

“Yes, I have element power, why the curious thought?”

Alice pulled away from Asema and looked longing up at her mother. Wolf noticed too that Junior had stopped playing in the sand and was now intrigued with this subtle conversation.

“Most Immortals have power…don’t we have power?” Alice asked.

“How do we know if we have this power?” Junior asked.

Wolf looked form his children to his wife who had a face of something, possibly wondering the very same question. Asema met his gaze though not grinning at him, a mind message. Though Wolf was curious to as to being hybrids, their power or would they actually going to receive power at all. Though Asema was a young Immortal when she found out. Just the thought made him look at her oval ring that shone a little under the sun as it showed some power on her right pointer finger.

Asema took a breather catching Wolf attention, bringing back to the presence.

“All I can say is I didn’t even know if I had power till your Aunt Em dragged me to of Nyx’s temples. To seek, in the may future, you might discover if you have power early or later…hopefully not later like I did.”

Junior looked amazed and Wolf silently laughed.

“How did you receive your power?” Junior asked, as both children already knew about Asema ring.

Wolf saw their mother smile.

“I asked the goddess, well technically had a bowl shaped like a bird bath in the temple and she granted.”

Both looked at their mother letting it sink in with only moments later they began to make move towards Junior sandcastle. But Wolf could not ignore that there was something else in Alice eyes telling him that he should keep a eye on her in the future.
