Unknown Magic (3)

Chapter 11.1

Running through the rain and finally arriving at the residence, the rain as I ran became heavier but not as heavy outside the barrier where I quickly looked up to see, most of the rain beating down on the barrier as well white foam and water splashing up to streaking down. Once in a while it would seem like you were underwater for only a moment. I refocused myself to the residence reminding myself that I am still getting soaked though I quickly looked back to see a few light on in the high buildings some people were getting a good view of the ocean show.

I entered into the house shaking in the cold and realized I shut out the crash of waves noise and wind. Muffling it behind the door. Now it was if you were in a ship but not moving.

I regretted that I did not have a coat, but I needed to bring myself back to reality after what just happened. Except that most amazing man stepped around the corner from the direction of the plant room and wrapped a towel around, smothering me not the warm cotton. He wrapped his arms around me already making me feel even greater from the warmth that was not yet flowing through my body. A slight humming came and I rested my head into his chest. Luckily, I wasn’t chattering my teeth, but same time I wondered if I had a brain.

Heat I commanded and instantly imagined it warming my body within seconds I did not feel cold and found my temperature not freezing.

Wolf let go but the towel remained, “where are the kids?” I let the towel loose but kept it around my body.

He glanced over his shoulder to where he came from and reached his eyes back to mine.

“There is a hurricane outside and you know how much they love to watch it, so…” he allowed me to hear the words” I suggest that we stay the night and what of it, and to answer they are in the plant room already watching it.”

My eyes drifted to the hallway of the kitchen that led to the direction and smirked. “Of course, just let me change into dry clothes,” I began to move my way to the stairs, but Wolf stopped me short and stared at me in the eyes for a moment.

“What?’ I narrowed my eyes leaning back.

He gave a light smile, “You know I am here for you no matter what, if there is a battle within, let me know.”

I stared back at him comforting green eyes already taking the familiar and safety that he provides. I rubbed his arms letting the electrical pulse spread between us and leaned in.

“I will” I assure him, but direct my attention past him to where a room that had two little being in it could hear, “but tonight is about family.”

Wolf smiled and silently agreed, and allowed me to run up the stairs and find first things that would bring me comfort. I landed on a sweater with stretchy pants and could faintly hear in the distant the crashing storm, it was getting stronger meaning heavier waves would be thrashing up against the barrier.

I made my way down and stepped at the threshold as I watched my kids become fascinated with dark blue water of the storm. It was like watching a entertainment movie and that was all their focus. I looked to where Wolf was the corner farthest away from me sitting by Junior, arm outstretched resting across the back of the couch. Giving the picture-perfect father figure. A smile crept across my face and I saw down on the couch nearest to me where Alice was, but she barely even sensed my presence as the outside window far more interesting.

Snuggling into her I brought my attention to Wolf who was already staring at me with a smile.

A memory for them’ he thought.

Something to cherish forever’ I replied and we continued watching monstrous large waves slashing up the barrier that was a few meters away. Dancing shadows with muffled crashing sound, other would fear but this city and us would enjoy as sometimes it was relaxing.

Other

As the water crashed up and down on the barrier it was enjoyment for the while city. It was living show to watch almost as if it was an orchestra of passing by music. Flowing flawlessly creeping up the walls smoothly while falling down. Every once in while it would feel like you were under water seeing the depths of the ocean only for a few seconds yet felt like it was forever.

Back at the Madam residence if you creeped inside and saw from a distance, you would see a picture-perfect family cuddling their children while watching waves come to life from the ocean.

Asema would occasionally lean into her family having the feeling to guard them back the time hold back as if she would hurt them.

Wolf would occasionally glance at his children and guide his eyes over to his wife. He respected her but they could pretend or feel like a normal family as it was time together and that is what mattered.

Complications in life would be on hold no matter how much they wanted to be solved.

One sure thing about the family is that something new around the corner is always brewing even is they are seen of the picture-perfect family.
