Chapter 115 Thank You, Donald
Kara was stunned by Kathleen. Half of her face was numb, and her ears were buzzing.
She looked up at the furious Kathleen, who was wearing an elegant suit, but her behavior and words were not elegant at all.
"Not only do you want to dismiss my father, but you also want Kaya to make things difficult for me. Kara, you are just relying on Mr. James who takes care of you, so you are reckless and eaten up with pride!"
Kara licked the corner of her lips and tasted the smell of blood. Her amber eyes became a bit sharp as she stared coldly at Kathleen.
"Kathleen, why don't you ask your father what he did? You just graduated from college and became a department head. What qualifications do you have?"
Hearing Kara's calm questions, Kathleen suddenly felt a little guilty.
On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, Mr. James escaped and she went to the bar. Then something happened between her and a man.
She had escaped from the hotel, but she had been on tenterhooks, afraid that the matter would be exposed.
Now her father was lying in the hospital at his last gasp, and her grandmother and mother quarreled every day. She was troubled by Kaya when she returned to the company. This was intolerable!
Since she graduated and worked in the Quain Group, no one in the Quain Group had dared to teach her a lesson like this. Kaya was just a small manager who was dismissed by her father. Why?
Jagger announced at today's meeting that he would manage the Quain Group, while her father was chased out of the Quain Group.
Taking all these things into consideration, Kathleen thought angrily that Kara must be deliberately making things difficult for her!
A timid little girl dared to bully her. What a joke!
"Kara, no matter what, it's your fault that you hand over the Quains' things to someone else!" Kathleen cursed.
If Kara hadn't wanted to give the shares of the Quain Group to someone else, would her father have thought of some vicious methods to force her?
"Kathleen, you come here and make trouble with me shamelessly just to ask me to take back the management of the Quain Group and let you continue to be a small supervisor." Kara bit her pink lips. The corner of her mouth was bleeding, but she had not noticed it yet.
"Let me tell you, impossible!"
"Kara, you..."
Kathleen was so angry that her chest heaved up and down. When she noticed that everyone was staring at them, a sinister look flashed in her eyes.
"Kara, since you are so arrogant, did something happen between you and Mr. James?"
Kara was caught off guard, her amber eyes unable to hide her panic.
Kathleen was only guessing. When she saw Kara like that, her eyes widened.
Kara, that bitch, must have drugged Mr. James so that Mr. James ignored her as his fiancée.
"Kara, you are really shameless. Mr. James is my fiancé, your brother-in-law, and you actually...'
"
The more Kathleen thought about it, the angrier she became. She raised her hand and wanted to hit her, but before her arm fell, her wrist was pinched. She screamed in pain.
"This isn't a place for you to make a scene!"
Kathleen turned to see a young and handsome man standing in front of Kara. She turned ferocious with anger.
"This is not the place for me to make a scene. Is this place for her to make a fool of herself? She slept with my fiancé and caused my father to go to the hospital. She even wanted me to lose my job. She deserved it!"
"Kathleen, you are talking nonsense!"
Seeing everyone staring at her with a complicated gaze, Kara clenched her fists and her fingers turned white.
"Whether I am talking nonsense or not, you know very well!"
Kathleen's wrist was pinched by the man until it was purple, and her forehead was covered in cold sweat.
"You are defending Kara. Do you want to sleep with her? That's right. A shameless woman like her can sleep with men whom she calls uncle every day. She can sleep with every man."
Donald threw her hand away, broke a bottle of red paint from the shelf and splashed it on her face.
"Your mouth is too dirty. You should wash it!"
"My God!"
The red paint was smelly. Kathleen's hair, face, mouth, and clothes were all stained with a lot of paint.
She wiped the paint on her face with her hand and was getting more and more messed up by herself, and she screamed crazily.
"Bastard, you..."
Donald lazily stood next to Kara and casually held Kara's shoulder.
"Woman, don't think that Kara is a pushover. I am her brother now. If you dare to bully her, you have to ask me first!"
Kathleen stomped her feet in anger. She wanted to find something to wipe her mouth, because she felt that when she spoke, she ate the pigments.
"I'm kind enough to remind you that if these pigments enter your skin, it will cause skin allergy. If you eat them, it will be even worse. Maybe in a few days, pimples and acne will be all over your face."
"No!"
Thinking about the things on her face, Kathleen felt her scalp go numb and left in a mess.
"Kara, just you wait. When Mr. James and I get engaged, I will never let you go."
Seeing that Kathleen had finally left, Kara heaved a sigh of relief.
However, when she realized that everyone was staring at her, her face turned pale. She looked down in fear and helplessness.
"Go to the exhibition hall if you come to see the painting. If you want to see people, you have to pay!" Donald smiled and said to the crowd.
Everyone watched this farce and felt bored. They all dispersed.
Donald took a bottle of medicine and took Kara to her art studio to apply medicine to her.
"Thank you, Donald. I can do this myself." Kara was grateful and didn't want to bother him anymore.
Her skin was white, and she was young, delicate and soft, so the four fingerprints on her face were particularly obvious.
Thinking of his sister, he sighed and handed her the medicine.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think it through. I put you at the front desk when you're not experienced. If Master Larry knew this, he would definitely criticize me when he comes back." Hearing Donald blaming himself, Kara quickly shook her head.
"It's not your fault. It's my personal matter. I will explain it to Master Larry. Thank you for helping me out." Kara pursed her lips, messed up.
If Donald had not helped her, she didn't know what Kathleen would have done.
Thinking of the engagement she mentioned, her heart sank.
If Kathleen lived in Uncle James's villa, she wouldn't tolerate her in the future.
"I forgot. I should have splashed more paints of different colors on the woman. It's best to draw a turtle on her."
Donald said in a regretful tone.
Kara could not help but laugh.
"It's better to smile. At such a young age, it's not good to have a long face. Aren't you afraid of getting wrinkles?" Donald pointed at the corner of his eyes. Kara knew that he was deliberately pleasing her, and she was moved.
"Thank you, Donald."
"You are too polite. You are a junior. As a senior, shouldn't I protect you?" Donald lifted the bangs on his forehead and winked at her.
Kara was finally in a much better mood. She applied ice to her face for a while and applied medicine several times before the swelling on her face subsided.
