Chapter Game Plan
POV: Leon
After Ash agreed to run with me once this mess with her former father was over, I got with the rest of the boys to come up with a master game plan to bring that fucker down once and for all. Rico got the rest of the guys together and became ruthless during training, even going so far as to knocking men on their asses for not sparring like they were fighting. No punches were held back, no kick was powerful enough, no scar was deep enough, and if bite marks didn’t last a long as the one Miley did when she marked Trevor, then you fucking failed. Everything was on high alert; not even the mail carrier wanted to come near the house after a few days. Trevor isolated himself away from everyone, and everything plotting out every choice every decision and all outcomes that could play out. He found out the guys Marcus hired to shoot up the packhouse and read through every single letter trying to figure out Marcus' strengths, weaknesses, emotional and mental state. What could make him wild? What could clam him down? How could he exploit Marcus to his fundamental human emotions? I had my training to do, especially if I was the one to deal the finishing blow. I wanted the monster to suffer just as much as he made her suffer. The girls kept themselves busy doing what no one wasn’t sure most of the time we just knew for sure that they’d be helping Black around the house till then his Beta was acting Alpha until we could figure out something with his health. Because lately, its been in a downward spiral to the point where he was bedridden, but he’d still fight to get out of bed to see if he got something from Marcus. Days past and all we need was the okay from Trevor to hunt him down pull or smoke him out of hiding and rip him apart. Eventually, I wanted it so bad I started stalking his house, waiting for the bastard to walk out the front door. My instincts were set on nothing but making sure he wouldn’t be able to be recognized in a morgue. I wanted him gone, but I was always reminded that the letters should be my priority. To hell with those fucking letters, though, Marcus needed to be dealt with before anything else. Everybody was ready for an all-out war, and once Trevor finally came stumbling out his cave, a wicked smile formed on his face like a mad orchestrator prepared for the show to start.
“Tomorrow night, we strike!” He shouted
“Finally,” I happily growled out jumping out my seat
“Leon Rico, I need you two by my side at all times no matter what happens, do NOT Leave my fucking side, understand?” He asked
“I got it,” Rico said
“Why?” I questioned
“Follow my orders don’t question them,” He said before sighing deeply, “Trust me, Leon. I worked out everything I possibly could, and I think this is the best thing I could think of that would make him suffer the most, but it’s a high-risk bet,” He said
“What does it all involved?” I asked
“I can’t...I can’t tell you, but if it doesn’t work out, do whatever you want with me. This could make or break everyone here, and if you lose control and don’t stay focus, then...just follow my orders, alright?” He asked
“Alright. I’m trusting you on this,” I said
I walked around the house, trying to figure out what Trevor met about a high-risk bet. I wanted to make Marcus pay, but what the hell could Trevor be planning for him to put his life on the line. I wondered around the house until I ended up in the library trying to quiet my animalist ideals and instincts to try to get some idea of what he could be planning.
Eventually, I just laid on a bean bag chair staring at the ceiling, trying to clear my head as I slowly closed my eyes. I had some flashback of the beach on one of those carefree summer days in Mexico, the seagulls flying around with the sound of the waves against the sand. There would be a lot of people around, of course, but it was those late nights when the beach was empty, and it would be just her and me. A smile formed on my face while I watched her standing in the ocean, taking in the breeze.“Leo. Come here, my lion,” She quietly whispered, “Leo,” She said once more as I opened my eyes
“My beautiful Ashely,” I softly mumbled, rubbing her cheek before noticing that sad look in her eyes, “Baby, what’s wrong?” I asked
She leaned into my hand, “Promise me you’ll come back,” She said
“Everything is going to be...” I started
“Promise me!” She yelled
I could see the tears she was desperately trying to hold back, and it took me a while to see that she was wearing the ring on her finger. This was something serious, and I haven’t exactly been the best mate lately. So focus on getting at Marcus I just neglected her I owed her at least this much, “I promise. Everything will be alright, okay?” I asked
“I love you,” She said
“I...I love you too,” I said
When she kissed me, something about it felt...off. She never kissed me so tenderly like that before except when it was our first kiss, it was slow and light. It was like she was saying goodbye without really saying it. After that, she started unbuttoning my shirt before was going over my chest with her fingertips. It would have felt good if only the tears weren’t trying to breakthrough. Something was bothering her. I knew it, but as soon as I’d try to talk about it another kiss, another touch something to distract me from asking eventually I couldn’t deny her. But when I woke up later that afternoon without her in my arms, it was something I wasn’t used to. It left me with this empty feeling I hated, but there was still work to do, I guess she understood that, but I wanted her to stay a little while longer. I got with the guys for the final recap of tomorrow's plan, and they told me the girls were in hiding even Rico seemed a little off hearing that, but he came to terms with it saying that it was for the best if they stayed out of it. It was getting late, and I couldn’t really relax or sleep I just laid in bed staring at the ceiling until time finally past into the next day.
