Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 16

Marco began to reach out his hand to press the right button on the side of the door. A beep sounded, and the door opened, revealing a luxurious apartment with all modern facilities. Marco scanned his gaze in all directions, then his steps led to the second floor where Arabella's room was located. Slowly, Marco approached Arabella, who was standing near the window, seemingly absorbed in the view of the bustling city outside.

Marco walked closer and hugged Arabella from behind, -but Arabella seemed to ignore him, as if Marco wasn't there.

"Are you still angry?" Marco asked, kissing Arabella's clearly tense shoulder.

"Yes, it seems like you are still angry," Marco answered himself, tightening his embrace.

"I'm sorry," Marco said, making Arabella finally turn to look at her fiancé. For Arabella, perhaps Marco would become her ex-fiancé, because she couldn't bear to imagine Marco marrying another woman, especially if that woman was carrying Marco's child.

"Do you think all these problems can be solved with just an apology?" Arabella asked with a flushed face, restraining her anger. Her hand itched not to slap her fiancé, but Arabella managed to control her emotions well.

"I know, I know this issue is not as simple as I thought. I don't expect you to forgive me easily. I just want a little understanding from you and listen to my explanation first," Marco said again, making Arabella just sigh and look away, as if not wanting to see her handsome fiancé's face.

"Come on, just listen to me this once," Marco said, reaching for Arabella's shoulder to make her face him. Marco finally managed to pull Arabella's hand without resistance, and they sat on the side of the bed. They gazed at each other, until Marco gently pulled Arabella's face and kissed her forehead.

"Do you think my love for you is so shallow?" Marco asked, making Arabella fall silent. Of course, all this time she was sure that Marco loved her wholeheartedly, not just an ordinary love, but a sincere one, that they felt for each other. "I know you didn't think that, but because of my foolishness and carelessness, I'm sure it's difficult for you to forgive me because of your profound disappointment," Marco said, making Arabella silent again.

"But I beg you, it won't happen again. I can't ignore my own flesh and blood. You know my family values lineage so much, especially since you've already talked to my mother about it. Everyone wouldn't agree if I were to dismiss that woman who, by the way, is carrying my flesh and blood," Marco said, making Bella look at him with a sharp gaze.

"How can you be so sure that the woman is carrying your child? It could be that she's carrying someone else's child," Arabella said, making Marco fall silent. If that night he hadn't engaged in relations with the unconscious woman, maybe Marco would have thought the same as Arabella. However, Marco still remembered the tears flowing on Letta's face, how painful it was, and how they felt suffocated during the act, indicating that Letta had indeed preserved her virginity, and Marco had just destroyed it like that. That made Marco certain that the baby in Letta's womb was his flesh and blood.

"I'm sure it's my flesh and blood," Marco said, making Arabella dislike his answer even more.

"Answers like that, or maybe you're really interested in that woman?" Arabella said, making Marco shake his head.

"I'm sure because she was still a virgin when I had relations with her. Therefore, I'm sure it's my child," Marco said, making Arabella fall silent. Somehow, a feeling of suffocation enveloped her heart upon hearing that Marco had been intimate with someone who was experiencing it for the first time, and it was with Marco. Arabella felt like nothing when Marco recounted it, even though she wasn't the first for Marco. Even though Marco knew that and accepted it, Arabella still felt inferior to that woman. Arabella's thoughts stopped as Marco gently touched her face.

"I don't want to be separated from you. You know how much I love you, but I also can't let go of my own flesh and blood," Marco said, looking at Arabella with his sincere gaze. Arabella let out a long breath because she didn't want to let Marco go so easily to the hands of a woman who couldn't even be compared to her.

"Then what do you want?" Arabella asked, forced to restrain her ego. She didn't want Marco to see her as a woman who was easy to be played with like this, because Arabella didn't want Marco to do it for a second time.

"I have to marry her," Marco said, making Arabella widen her eyes.

"Are you crazy?" Arabella exclaimed, making Marco shake his head.

"That's the only way I can secure the child, through the bond of marriage. I promise that after the child is born, I will take care of the custody that will fall to me. I will make it happen, whatever happens afterward, we'll get a divorce, and the child will eventually be ours," Marco said, leaving Arabella speechless.

"Are you sure that woman is willing to cooperate with us?" Arabella asked, making Marco smile as if to reassure his fiancee's concerns.

"Everything can be arranged. I will make her understand. I know women like her will be very accommodating if we offer something more, especially if we assure her that the child will be better off in my hands than hers, who can't provide anything. She must want to see her child happy from an early age, right?" Marco said, leaving Arabella silent. It seemed like his idea wasn't too bad after the birth of Marco's child. Marco promised to marry her, so everything could be arranged for the public and condemn them.

"Fine, do whatever you want, but I don't want to feel disadvantaged by your foolish idea. I can't just let you go to that woman," Arabella said, making Marco immediately pull Arabella into his embrace.

"You won't suffer any loss or lose me, I will make sure of that," Marco said, leaving Arabella speechless as she accepted how her fiancé held her tightly.
