As the once quiet hall gradually filled with noise, the host regained his composure and looked at Celia with a professional smile

“Ms. Leif, are you feeling nervous? Look, your fiance is right beside you.”

“Hmph!”

Celia sneered and snatched the microphone from the host’s hand, creating distance between herself and John

“Who does John think he is? Is he even worthy of being my fiancé?”

Upon hearing this, John’s face turned dark.

“What do you mean, Celia?”

“Exactly what I said!”

Celia smirked, “Mr. John, you’ve had over twenty years of education, so you should at least have the ability to understand this, right?”

“You!

Seeing John’s increasingly unpleasant expression, Molly stepped forward.

“Celia, you like Johnny so much, and today is the day of your engagement. So, why are you suddenly unhappy?

Why did Celia suddenly change her attitude today? Did she discover something?

Hmph!

Even if she did discover something, so what? She’s so stupid. I can appease her with just a few words.

Molly smiled and took a few steps closer, gently persuading, “Celia, even if Johnny made you mad, you shouldn’t create a scene here. How do you expect everyone to view Johnny?”

John’s dark face finally eased a bit as he nodded in agreement.

“Celia, behave and stop causing trouble. It’s already an honour for you to marry me.”

Celia frowned, a strong sense of disgust flashing in her eyes.

How blind was she in the past to fall for such a lowly man?

“Huh, causing trouble?” Celia’s lips curled into a cold smile. “John, do you really think I like you?”

“Isn’t that the case?” John raised his chin dismissively, not worried that Celia would actually ruin this engagement banquet. After all, it was well known in Hampstead that Celia loved him.

The man had a handsome face, but he exuded an aura that kept people at a distance. Just one glance from him could send a shiver down one’s spine

“Oh my! Isn’t that the guy from the Holton family? Why would he come to a place like this?”

“Judging by his expression, it seems like he did not come in peace. This is going to be interesting!”

The man narrowed his eyes and glanced at John before shifting his gaze to Celia.

As Henry’s eyes met the pure white wedding dress, his pupils contracted, a hint of hostility brewing in his

eyes

Then, he strode towards Celia and said, “It seems like I didn’t come at the right time.”

However, to his surprise. Celia did not hide behind John this time. Instead, she smiled and walked toward

him.

Henry’s footsteps faltered, and his expression became somewhat vacant–this was the first time Celia had smiled at him.

Her smile was still as sweet as before, but it felt like a dream to him.

She

She liked John so much, so why did she suddenly leave John and come toward him?

However, what shocked him even more was that Celia actually stopped in front of him and intimately linked her arm with his

“Henry, you came just in time. If you were any later, you would have missed the perfect time for our engagement!”

“What did you say?”

Henry’s body tensed as he stared at Celia in shock.

Why did she suddenly change her attitude today? She had always hated physical contact with him before.

Celia tilted her head and playfully smiled. “Aren’t you planning to get engaged with me today, my fiancé?”

“What did you just call me?”

Flance!

Celia just called me her fiance!

Henry’s pupils contracted, and while a wave of joy surged in his heart. At the same time, the sense of unreality also grew stronger.

However, Celia narrowed her eyes and smiled. “Fiancé!*

“Celia Leif!”

Just as Celia and Henry were about to walk onto the stage hand in hand, John beside them could not hold back his anger any longer and roared.

“Don’t forget, you are my girlfriend!“.

Henry pursed his lips, a bitter smile appearing on the corner of his mouth.

At last, it is just a dream!

The time has come so the dream is about to end.

The girl’s strange behaviour earlier was probably just to ensure a smooth engagement. After all, the person she loves is John!

And now… It’s time for her to go back to John.

However, Celia did not approach John, but instead, looked at him mockingly and said, “When did I become your girlfriend? Why didn’t anyone inform me about this?”

“Johnny, you’re amazing…”

As soon as Celia finished speaking, the hall was filled with sounds of embarrassing gasps….

Suddenly, the screen in the hall started playing a video of John and Molly engaging in intimate activities.

“Oh?” Celia raised her eyebrows and sarcastically smiled, “Mr. Nelson, you’re quite the player!”

As soon as she finished speaking, Henry frowned and covered her eyes.

“Don’t look, it’s nasty.”

“Whatever.”

Celia guiltily stuck out her tongue. She did not know how Henry would react if he found out that she was the one who recorded this video.

*Oh my goodness! Isn’t that Ms. Molly Leif? Wasn’t she supposed to be an innocent and obedient girl who’s oblivious about worldly matters?”

“Tsk, that looks like the private room here. Mr. Nelson is pretty open–minded.”

Tsk, he sleeps with one sister and wants to marry another. How scandalous!”

“Turn it off!”

It was not until the unbearable discussions reached her ears that Molly reacted and rushed to the control panel with a pale face.

However, no matter how she moved the mouse, the screen showed no response and continued playing the video.

“What are you waiting for? Hurry up and turn it off”

John’s expression became even more unpleasant when Molly could not turn off the screen.

Although he did not invite any prominent families to this engagement banquet, his reputation was already ruined after this incident.

Molly bit her lip aggrievedly. “I want to turn it off, but I can’t!”

A trace of impatience flashed in John’s eyes, and he quickly unplugged the power of the computer. Finally, the video on the big screen stopped.

“Tsk tsk!”

Celia shook her head with regret. “It seems that I won’t be getting engaged after all, but…”

She paused and smiled mischievously. “Since Mr. John and Molly have already engaged in such an intimate activity, you two should be the ones getting engaged today!”

“You!”

“Celia! It’s you! You’re behind this, right?”

Molly could not maintain her composure anymore after noticing the crowd was looking at her differently. So, she immediately screamed as she pounced towards Celia.

Celia’s eyes flashed and she obediently hid behind Henry. She then muttered softly, “What does this have to do with me? Can I force you and John to do that?”
