Three Alphas for the Alpha Princess

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

THIRD–PERSON POV

After years of searching, Brandon could finally say he had found his mate.

But his victory wasn’t one worth celebrating. At least, not yet as finding his mate was only the first step of his grand plan

Being the first son of the Alpha came with its perks. Being treated as royalty, an automatic entitlement to the Alpha King’s throne and well, having to share that throne with his two brothers.

It was just the way things I’d always been. For years. For generations. It was how things worked in the Silver Moon pack so it was safe to consider it a

norm

Right from the establishment of the Silver Moon Pack, they were notorious for one thing- having for fight for the throne of Alpha King. It wasn’t a regular brawl amongst the strongest members of the pack but a struggle between the sons of the Alpha King.

They were all destined to have the same mate. And as a result, finding their mates was more than just satisfying an urge to be with that one wolf they were destined to be with. It was an opportunity to become the strongest Alpha prince and finally take over the throne. And of course, by all

means necessary

Brandon wasn’t left out as right from when he was a little boy, he knew he was going to have to share the same mate with his brothers Kayden and Lucien. He had accepted it completely though, more than ready to have their mate to himself and finally, take over the throne as the eldest son and rightful owner.

And Denise’s presence was finally going to make it a reality.

A contended smirk appeared on his face as he rose from his seat, giving his reflection in the mirror a final glance. He looked decent, his wavy hair styled to perfectly accentuate his features. With a nod, he grabbed his jacket and threw it around his shoulders, ready to head out for the day,

Denise was to be in her room, doing whatever she needed to to prepare herself for their outing of the day. After giving her a heads up the previous day, he could only hope she was one of those people who kept to time and disliked tardiness- in other words, someone like him.

He strode confidently towards her room and in no time, was right outside, Massaging his wrists, he hesitated for a while then finally placed a knock on her door, getting a response almost immediately.

“Come in.

Without hesitation, he pushed the front door to meet Denise seated on the bed, a neutral expression on her face. Watching him walk in, she quickly rose to her feet her expression shifting into one accompanied with a smile.

“Good morning

Good morning,” he replied her, checking her out. She seemed all dressed up and ready to head out, gladdening his heart. “How was your night? I believe you had a good rest?”

“Yes,” she replied with a light nod. “How about you?”

“Good,” he said. “If you’re ready, shall we leave now? You haven’t forgotten about our outing have you!”

She shook her head and took a step towards him, her hands immediately reaching for the hem of her gown. She clenched onto it and immediately raised her head, voicing out a question. “Um, where are we going

He hesitated for a while, contemplating telling her. He could wait until they got to their destination before telling her or say it right away as either way, he wasn’t going to be telling her the complete truth.

“A liule curious?” He said instead. Then how about we try to get there a little quicker?”

She didn’t object and simply nodded in response, walking behind him as he led the way. Glad she wasn’t making things any complicated, he quickened his steps so they could get to their destination smoothly and as fast as possible.

They were headed to the pack’s soothsayer with only one goal in Brandon’s mind- to get the soothsayer to conceal her scent.

She had a strong scent. So strong she was able to allure him despite being miles away making him immediately know she was his mate. With such scent and his brothers in the same pack, it was going to do more bad than good, leaving him with no choice but to make sure it was masked as quickly as possible.

He couldn’t risk her identity getting out so easily. Especially, to his brothers. He couldn’t let them know their mate had been found as he intended on keeping her to himself and no one but himself,

Chapter 9

They got to the soothsayers place after a barely ten minutes walk, Brandon had previously made arrangemis with her to move her residence so she could be not only closer to him but also able to attend to Denise as fast as possible before her scent lingered around more areas in the pack

“We’re here,” he announced to her the moment they set foot at the soothsayers abode. “Come on.”

Her place was made to look as traditional as possible, her doors wooden with a general antique aura to the whole area. The door gave a little squeak as he pushed it open, revealing the soothsayer seated on a bamboo mat

“Prince Brandon,” she seemed to have been anticipating his arrival as she immediately rose to her feet, a smile on her face. She spared him a bow and almost immediately, shifted her attention towards Denise to check her out. “You’re here.”

“Um, hello,” was all Denise could say, turning to give Brandon a demanding look. She was confused on what was going on and it seemed like she was the only one in the dark. “Who are you? What is this-”

Tm Flora,” her smile was oddly comforting “And Tam the pack’s soothsayer.”

“Okay,” Denise was still confused though. “Why am I here thought”

“She’s going to help mask your scent, Brandon finally spoke up. “She’ll be neutralizing it a little bit. To make it less noticeable.”

What?” Denise immediately turned to face him, his words taking her by surprise. “Masking my scent? Why?”

He signaled at the soothsayer to give them a little privacy then took a step towards Denise, placing a hand on her shoulder to look at her directly in the eye. “Because it’s not safe for you to wander about with your scent”

“Why?” She couldn’t understand him. “Why would I not be safe?”

“Because you’re from a different pack,” he lied without a second thought. “It would raise suspicion if the people here find our you’re from another pack. Also, I already told you about my position in the pack. As Alpha prince, my mate would be expected to be from the pack. So if it gets exposed that you’re from another pack, it’ll stir tension and commotion in the pack.”

“Oh!” Denise blinked at him, trying to process it all. She was his mate so eventually she was going to have to be introduced to the members of the pack. When they finally happened, her true identity would eventual be revealed, right? “Really?”

“Of course, he nodded, “I’m only doing it to protect you

There was something about his tone that made it hard for Denise to believe him. The gut feeling felt familiar. Like one of those that always subtly kicked in for years after being with Sage and Samon

Whatever the truth was, he wasn’t telling her completely. He was hiding something from her and she could tell. But unfortunately, she wasn’t in a position to question his words. At least, not yet. Leaving her with no choice but to succumb to whatever his plans were.

Alright then. You may go ahead”
