Chapter 10 Severed Finger

Sally was caught off guard as Anders pinned her down on the sofa. Unable to move, she angrily asked, What are you doing?”

Anders wanted to strangle the woman beneath him.

He held down Sally’s shoulder with one hand and grabbed something from the nearby table with the other.

Anders shoved a photo in Sally’s face, saying, “Where did you go today?”

Sally froze as she looked at the photo.

It was a picture of her standing with Daniel and Mia on the street today.

Seeing Sally’s silence, Anders lost his patience.

“Are you that desperate? Huh? You’re a married woman, yet you go out looking for other men? Can’t you stand being alone?” Anders didn’t hide his disdain and humiliation for the woman beneath him.

Sally couldn’t help but retort, “Don’t slander me! When was I desperate? It’s not what you think!” Sally hadn’t expected Anders to be so crazy as to have someone follow her!

Anders squeezed her shoulder harder and then violently tore her clothes!

Seeing that he was about to do what he had done before, this time, Sally chose to resist.

“If I’ve been out with other men, do you still want to sleep with me?” Sally asked mockingly. “Don’t you think it’s dirty?”

Anders‘ action of tearing her clothes stopped.

He punched the spot next to Sally’s face in anger and then stormed out.

The door slammed shut.

He was gone.

Sally breathed a sigh of relief, but tears rolled down her cheeks.

When would these days end?

The next morning, Sally was awakened by stomach pain.

The doctor had already told her that her health was in bad shape and that if she didn’t take care of herself, she was at high risk of getting stomach cancer.

Stomach cancer, such a terrifying disease!

But now… Sally didn’t care much about herself.

What mattered was Andy… She had to get Andy’s illness treated.

Andy was so young: she couldn’t bear to see him leave this world.

Sally touched her stomach and decided to go downstairs for breakfast. But as soon as she stepped out, two strong men blocked her way.

Without a word, the two men forcibly took her away and shoved her into a van.

“Let go of me, let go!” Sally struggled fiercely, but one of the men knocked her out.

When Sally woke up again, she found herself in a hotel room.

A hotel, again!

Sally had developed a fear of hotels.

Soon, the hotel room door opened.

Thankfully, it wasn’t some greasy old man this time.

However, the person standing in front of her didn’t make Sally any happler.

It was Mia.

Dressed elegantly, Mia walked up to Sally.

Sally looked up at her and quickly let out a cold laugh.

“What? Did you have me brought here just to catch up?” Sally mocked.

“Tsk,” Mia looked at Sally with disdain, “You always know how to say things that displease me.”

Sally snorted and said nothing more.

Mia and Mary were the same kind of people.

She was here for no good reason today!

*Speak up, what do you want?” Sally asked bluntly.

Mia looked at her coldly.

In truth, Mia had no personal grudge against Sally, In fact, Sally had helped Mia a lot during their school, days.

But… sometimes you don’t need a reason to dislike someone, right?

Mia hated how bright and outstanding Sally was. She was so excellent that whenever she appeared, Mia and Mary would be overshadowed.

Mia’s vanity was so strong that she couldn’t allow herself to stay in the shadows, secretly envying someone else’s happiness.

But now, her dream had come true.

Sally, once the person she envied the most, was no longer a threat to her.

Mia looked down at Sally, who was half–lying on the sofa, and said coldly, “I heard your son is seriously ill, right?”

Sally snorted, “No need for your fake concern.

Mia–thought she had found Sally’s weak spot, “Mary told me everything… Sally, are you stupid? You had a chance to get the money, but you gave up such a good opportunity. How foolish.”

Sally looked at her disdainfully, “Not everyone is as heartless as you and Mary, Mia…”

She laughed, “How did you become Daniel’s girlfriend? think you know better than me, don’t you?”

Mia’s face quickly changed.

Sally knew she had hit a nerve.

“I don’t know what Daniel went through to forget me, but the name ‘angel–I’m more familiar with its

origin than you are.”

Mia glared at her, “Shut up!”

Sally shifted on the bed and said, “I know your secret.”

Mia was momentarily panicked but quickly regained her composure, “So what? Daniel doesn’t remember you. No matter how much you explain, he won’t believe you.”

Sally’s heart sank.

Mia was right.

Daniel didn’t remember her now. No matter how much she explained, he wouldn’t believe her.

Sally’s eyes reddened, and she gritted her teeth, “You and Mary will get what’s coming to you!”

“Get what’s coming to us?” Mia laughed arrogantly, “That’s just something to fool idiots… Sally, you’d better worry about yourself now…”

Sally felt uneasy, “What do you mean?”

Mia clapped her hands, and two bodyguards walked in.

Sally recoiled in fear.

“Why did you appear in front of Daniel and me yesterday? He asked me about you when we got home… Sally, why don’t you just die?” Mia became more agitated and grabbed a fruit knife from the table.

Sally’s eyes widened, “Mia! What are you doing?”

Mia snarled, “You like showing up in front of Daniel and me, right? Today, I’m going to cut off one of your fingers as a lesson.”

Sally backed away in terror, “Don’t come near me! Don’t come near me!”

Mia signaled to the two bodyguards, and they stepped forward to restrain Sally.

“Haha… this is exciting,” Mia’s eyes glinted with a bloodthirsty gleam, “Sally, I never thought you’d end up like this.”

“No, no…” Sally shut her eyes in fear.

Just as she was struggling, Sally’s phone rang!

Mia took the phone from her pocket and, seeing the caller ID, smirked.

“Mary works fast…” Mia muttered, then showed the phone to Sally.

The screen displayed Anders‘ number!
