Chapter The Way 11

Chapter 11

The days of recovery at the Bloodfang Pack’s territory quickly turned into days of planning and preparation. My alliance with Alpha Kieran Nightshade deepened as we united our strengths and strategies against Silverclaw. The burden of my past and the weight of my son’s death fused with Kieran’s own vendetta, driving us both toward a singular, consuming goal: revenge. Alpha Kieran and I spent hours each day in intense strategy sessions. We studied maps of the Silverclaw territory, discussing potential ambush points and weaknesses.

“Silverclaw is strong but not as strong as my pack,” Kieran said one evening as we poured over a map in his office. His sharp eyes traced the lines of the pack‘ s territory with focused intensity. “But they have vulnerabilities.

I nodded, feeling the sting of memories as I glanced at the places where Thorne‘ s cruelty had been most evident. “But Morgana‘ s power is a wildcard now. We can’t underestimate her, especially since she has a quarter of the Moonstone.

Kieran’s expression hardened. “And you still have a larger portion. We need to ensure you‘ re at your peak strength.”

He was right. Despite the Moonstone‘ s power being diminished by Morgana‘ s theft, mine was still larger and more powerful.

Since then, my training has become more rigorous. Each day, I worked with the Bloodfang Pack‘ s most skilled warriors and healers to harness the Moonstone” s remaining energy, focusing on controlling my transformations and channeling the power into combat.

One morning, as the sun peeked through the dense forest canopy, I stood in the training grounds, practicing my shifts between human and wolf forms. The Moonstone’s light pulsed beneath my skin, guiding me as I trained. I could feel the power surging through me, amplifying my strength and

senses.

Alpha Kieran watched from the sidelines, his presence gaining everyone’s attention as usual.

‘You‘ re making excellent progress,” he called out. The more you train, the more control you’ll have. I caught my breath and nodded, wiping sweat from my brow. “I’ll make sure to kill them, that’s why I’m working hard. An eye for an eye.”

The Bloodfang Pack, led by Kieran‘ s authority, prepared for the war. Kieran mobilized his warriors, ensuring they were equipped and trained for the battle ahead. His leadership was precise, driven by both personal loss and the need to avenge the death of his former mate.

As the days passed, the plan took shape. The Bloodfang Pack was ready. We had mapped out our ambush strategy, positioned our forces, and synchronized our attack plans. The night before the assault, we reviewed every detail one last time, ensuring that every contingency was addressed. “We are under attack!”

“Call the Alpha immediately!”

“It’s the Bloodfang Pack!”

The dawn of the long–anticipated battle finally broke over the horizon, casting a pale light on the Bloodfang and Silverclaw territories. The field between the two packs became a battleground of vengeance and power.

My heart raced with fear as I stood beside Alpha Kieran.

The Silverclaw Pack gathered on their side, their faces stern and angry. Thorne’s imposing figure stood out amongst them, his gaze fixed with anger and disbelief as he locked eyes with me. His presence was a chilling reminder of the past betrayals and the pain he had inflicted upon me and my son. “Aria!” Thorne’s voice boomed across the field, cutting through the air like a knife. “Why have you betrayed your own pack like this? Have you forgotten everything we had?”

I met his gaze, my voice steady despite the turmoil inside me. “I haven’t forgotten anything, Alpha. I remember how you fucking abandoned your own family. I remember how you let Morgana manipulate you. I remember Cassian, and I remember what you did to him.”

Upon hearing those things, Alpha Thorne’s face twisted, with anger. “This isn‘ t about Cassian anymore! This is about you making a mistake that you will regret for the rest of your life. You think this Alpha, Kieran Nightshade, will save you? The hell he won‘ t! You‘ re just blinded by your grief and seeking revenge.

Kieran stepped forward, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. “Enough

talk, Thorne. You‘ ve had your chance. We’re here to settle this once and for all.”

The tension between the two Alphas was evident. Thorne’s fury erupted, his eyes tensing as he charged at Kieran. Without hesitation, Alpha Kieran ran after him as well, their clash erupting into a whirlwind of strength. The two leaders collided with a force that shook the ground, their roars of battle echoing across the field.
