Chapter 35
Amelia
Looking at Agron standing at the foyer like he owned the place with a smug smile while the warriors surrounded him.
A memory tagged at my consciousness but before I could grasp it, it disappeared. Staring at him I know there is something I should be remembering but I just couldn't no matter what I tried. "Amelia, how is my favorite power bank?" he asked, his eyes scanning me in a way that made my skin crawl.
"What are you doing here, Agron, what do you want?" I was honestly not in the mood to deal with his bullshit.
Plus what was with him showing up out of the blues? especially knowing that we are sworn enemies.
"Can't I just come and check up on you and Tristan...how is our little boy by the way, I hope you're taking good care of him for me?"
It was so disgusting the nerve he had coming here and asking about me and Tristan as if we were family.
"If you have nothing of importance I suggest you leave or else..." I warned while fisting my hands, the desire to pummel him to the ground very strong.
Xavier was not present and neither was Jayden so it was just me and the warriors.
I hated that we still hadn't come up with a plan to stop him while he went around destroying packs and killing innocent people.
Nothing we came up with was strong enough or full proof enough to make sure he was defeated and that he stayed down when we finally put him down.
More packs were thinking of joining Agron because first of all they had witnessed the chaos that he brought and second they didn't have faith in us because we didn't even have a plan to defeat him.
We were surrounded by enemies and if my attack by elder Martin is anything to go by, then most likely he wasn't the only traitor in the pack and that scared the hell out of me because there wasn't any way of knowing who was the traitors were. "Is that anyway to treat your guest? I just wanted us to have a chat" he said, his smirk still in place.
"We have nothing to talk about"
"Of course we do, how about you hand Tristan to me and I promise not make you watch as I slaughter everyone you care about" he said softly with his hands folded behind his back but the threat was very clear.
The guy was honestly batshit crazy. Did he honestly think that I would willingly surrender my son to him? The one that holds my heart in all its shattered pieces, he was delusional if he thought that I would ever give up Tristan.
"Over my dead body!" I shouted completely pissed off. I had wanted to remain calm but no mother in their right mind would have remained calm in such a situation.
"That can be easily arranged" his lips didn't move at all but I could hear him telepathically.
The warriors had yet to move, but they wouldn't even stand a chance if Agron decided to attack.
I narrow my eyes and look at him, really look at him, paying attention to his movements and also his body language. Something seemed off, very off.
His appearance out of the blues didn't make sense and now I was sure that just like the other time he showed up, there was a purpose, I just couldn't figure out what it was.
"Amelia? What's going on? And what is he doing here?" I heard Bianca's voice and I turned to look at her, she was descending the stairs, her eyes still red and puffy and she looked confused.
Emma wasn't that far behind her. I guess she had been updated and she knew what Agron looked like.
I was about to tell her to go back to her room but just as she reached the last step she completely froze, her eyes going wide and a whimper pushing its way past her mouth.
"No, no, no,no...this can't be happening, tell me this isn't happening!" She started crying and screaming, acting hysterical.
"Bianca? What's wrong?" I asked her softly using the nickname I had given her when we were young, but even that wasn't enough to get through to her.
She kept whispering the same words over and over again, pulling her hair and grabbing at her chest.
She started swaying and before she could fall to her knees, Emma caught her and hugged her tightly.
"Well, this is a delicious turn of events" Agron said, making me turn towards him.
His smirk had now turned into a full smile but it was full of malice, pure undiluted malice.
I didn't understand what was going on but I didn't like it, not one bit. From his smile alone, I knew he was about to shake our world leaving us in the wake of his destruction. "Let's get to it, shall we? How does it go?" he asked, leaving me more confused about what was going on.
Then he continued and what he said next shook me to the core.
"Aah, yes, I got it... I, Agron, god of death reject you Bianca Solace as my mate and queen" he finished before laughing evilly then teleporting.
I took a step back shocked just as Bianca released a pained scream. I turned to look at her, still unable to believe that Agron was her mate.
Emma was trying to calm her down but it wasn't working.
She was thrashing in her arms, screaming her heart out. She started shifting but then got stuck in a partial shift.
A partial shift only happens when both the human spirit and that of their beast are so broken that they split into two entities instead of staying as one.
The warriors rushed out probably to get Xavier and also to get away from the scene before us because it was painful to watch.
I knew exactly what was happening. It was similar to what I went through but different.
Xavier had not been able to reject me but if he had I would have gone through the same thing Bianca was.
When a wolf is rejected, what happens is that the effect is literally ripping a soul into two, and that was happening to Bianca.
When Agron rejected her, he basically ripped her soul into two and knowing him, I knew the bastard did it intentionally.
No wonder he laughed venomously before leaving. Since he was a god, and the one doing the rejecting, it didn't affect him.
I could feel her pain and agony at having her soul being ripped into two. She was still on the ground thrashing trying to get out of Emma's arms but Emma just continued holding her all the while tears fell down her face.
I didn't want to admit it but seeing Bianca like this, tagged a part of me that I thought had died a long time, the part that still loved her.
It was as if I was in a trance, one minute I was standing in the foyer and the next I was kneeling at the bottom of the stairs.
I took her from Emma's arms and held her in my mine, whispering soothingly to her. She immediately calmed down but still continued to cry.
The sounds that come from her were tortured and they sounded like a wounded animal.
Her eyes were open but unseeing, seeming as if they were stuck on a horror that she had seen but couldn't escape.
Although the sounds had stopped after a while she was still whimpering and tears were still pouring out of her eyes. Her eyes still unfocused.
I knew she couldn't stay like this. I peeped into her mind and it was shambled. Not only was her spirit broken but also her mind.
There was nothing I could do for now so with that I put her into an induced coma. It was the only way I could keep her stable.
I rose with her in my arms and went upstairs heading to her room. Once I was there, I laid her gently on her bed, ignoring the fact that this was the same bed she had slept with my Xavier.
She didn't even turn or fuss, just laid there almost as if she was gone and only her body remained.
I wondered what my parents are thinking right now seeing their youngest daughter stuck between man and beast.
I was sure it was breaking their hearts because this isn't what they had probably envisioned for us.
It honestly seemed like both their daughters had been cursed because that was the only way I could explain what had happened to us.
"Take care of her, and don't leave her side" I said. I didn't need to be told that Xavier's mum had followed me, I could feel her presence behind.
I didn't wait for her reply, I turned and stepped around her and then left the room. I was on a hunt for Agron.
He was going to pay for this. I may not like Bianca that much but she was still my blood sister and I wasn't going to let a narcissistic asshole like Agron hurt her.
I was about to teleport when I heard an urgent cry in my head. I had been too consumed with Bianca that I didn't realize that someone was trying to access my consciousness.
I closed my eyes and opened my mind to reach out and that's when it hit me, Tristan's screams. His fear almost choking me to death and bringing fear in waves I have never felt before.
That's when I realized that it had all along been a set up, Agron came as a distraction while one of his minions took Tristan from right under our noses.
