Chapter 30
BLAKE
I had to run out, I was so angry.
Not at her, at the human.
He tortured her, he raped her.
What a sick twisted piece of shit?
Not only that she was pregnant and had his child.
I walked away knowing that she must think I hate her, but I don’t.
Axel howling in my head, he's devastated for our mate but also at the thought of everything she went through over the years. I can also feel his anger sweeping in too as he wants to kill that bastard for what he did, and so do I.
I growled loud while still running.
The pack house started to feel like it was going to collapse around us. It was more or less smothering us. I needed to run. Axel wanted out, he wanted to shift.
I ran straight into the forest. I ran for an hour until I headed straight to Kacey and Dale’s house.
Whenever I had a problem I would go to them.
Nobody was home.
I sat on the step, looking at my feet.
“Do you still want mates?” Axel asks suddenly.
I sighed.
“I want our mate more now, she shouldn’t have been hurt that way,” I said.
“What about the pup?” He asked. “I think she will look like her.”
I said nothing.
I want to know more about the child but I need to wrap my head around everything she just told me.
“I want to see mate,” Axel whined.
I was about to say something when Kacey and Dales came into view, I looked at them.
Both looked at me with a smile on their faces but it fades away when they see my expression.
“Blake, what happened?” Kacey asked. “Where’s Izzy?” she looked around the area till her eyes land on me.
I looked at my hands, “I left her at the pack house,” I whispered.
“Well that’s stupid,” Dale grumbled.
I sighed and looked at them.
“I found out her true reasons why she doesn’t want a mate,” I said, feeling defeated.
“What do you mean?” Lacey asked as she came over to me and sat down next to me.
I sighed.
“I asked her why she didn’t want a mate as she has always said she never wanted one,” I said, but I turn to look at her. “It’s bad; I mean, there is a good reason for why she doesn’t trust the whole reason on mates.”
“So it’s not just about our father’s doing,” Dale asked, sounding confused.
“Well, he is part of the reason for the way he rejected her mother but something happened after her mother died,” I muttered.
“Tell us, Blake, we want to help,” Kacey said in a soft voice.
I know I shouldn't tell them but I needed some advice. I began to tell them everything but in minor detail. I didn't go into great detail about the torture or rape, but I told them about the child.
They didn't speak.
Concern and anger filled them.
“Why did you leave her at the pack house?” Kacey blurts out suddenly. “You just left her there, Blake she is going to think you don’t want anything to do with her.”
I sighed.
"I know," I said. “I had to get out of there, I needed to process it. I want Izzy, I want to protect her.”
“What about the child?” Dales asked who catches me off guard with the question. “Are you going to accept the child?”
I looked at him, staring blankly at him.
“I want to. But…..” I said but Dale growled, cutting me off.
“You jerk; Izzy went through rape and ended up with a child by that sick bastard. You are wondering what, is the child going to look like her or the man” he said, shouting. “Izzy has to look at that child every day and be remembered about what happened to her, how do you think she manages?”
He has a point.
I feel like such an idiot.
“Stop being an ass Blake, Izzy is your mate, and you will accept the child,” Kacey said, looking at me.
“I never agree with my brother, but I do with this,” she said, moving away from me and continuing.
“You need to see her, right now," she growled. "You need to make it right with her, and not only that you will be letting my grandfather win."
Kacey is right, they both are. I need to wise up and find Izzy.
Suddenly something comes through a mind link.
“Blake, you better get to Kat’s house it’s Izzy, she is going nuts,” Paul shouted.
“What do you mean Izzy is going nuts?” I asked, standing up straight. I looked toward Dale and Kacey, they were linked too.
“Izzy came back crying, but it was like she was in pain," he said. "Alice and I were on our way back, but as soon as we were close to the house we could feel Izzy, her power was strong.”
“When we walked through the door, Izzy was on the floor holding her head. She was in pain, Kat made us stand with her to one side," he said. "Kat told us she is remembering stuff that happened."
There was silence.
My heart was beating hard in my chest. I felt like it was going to jump out.
A few seconds later, Paul is back and worry floods the link. "Blake, three people are here, and a child," he murmured. "One is a witch, she just placed her hand on Izzy’s shoulder and said chanted some words but after a short while, the whole thing stopped, we all were hit with some force. Izzy’s power was strong, strong enough for her to lose control.”
Oh my god, Izzy!
What the hell has happened to her?
“Blake, you need to come here, NOW,” he shouted and the link goes dead.
I stared at Kacey and Dale.
“We need to leave now” I growled with both nodding in agreement with me especially after what we heard.
All three of us ran straight to Kat’s place.
It didn’t take us that long to get to Kat’s house, we all barged in and stared at what was in front of us.
Both Kacey and Dale are frozen to the spot, what the hell?
I looked around when they said something that caught me completely off guard.
“MATE,” both of them say together.
Dale started walking to a girl with bright pink hair, she looked at him and smiled. I could smell her, she’s not a werewolf, but a witch.
Kacey is staring at the other girl, and they both smile.
I can’t help feeling happy for my two best friends, but my eyes scan around the room.
I look over to see Kat wrapping her arms around a man and both Paul and Alice looking on, but it is the two pairs of eyes that catch me off guard.
They are so much alike. They have the same eye coloring, same hair coloring, and facial expressions.
The child is a mirror image of Izzy, they could be mistaken for twins, whether young or old.
They looked at me.
I couldn’t help but smile.
Before I could open my mouth, the little girl looks at me while resting her head on the crook of Izzy’s neck. “Who are you?” she asked with the sweetest voice and as the corners of her lips turn up.
“I’m Blake, a friend of your mums,” I said.
Izzy doesn’t say anything with a blank expression on her face.
I can feel her power has faded but there is a lingering in the air about the pain she went through.
I am about to step closer when Kacey turns to everyone.
“Why are these photos here?” she asked.
I looked over at her and noticed three photos on the table, all facing up.
I walked over and stared at them, they were from the pack house. “Why are these here?” I asked, looking up at everyone.
Everyone looked around, many were confused about what I was on about, but it was the voice by the side of me that makes me look back at her.
“I need to know who the hell the people are in them, and I need to know now,” Izzy asked, her voice filled with venom.
