Chapter 228
That was the second son of the Green family.
Ophelia's expression was unreadable as she looked at Hayley, who was practically fuming. "Mr. Grey and Mr. Green don't get along."
Hayley's fingers paused, as if she'd just pieced something together. "Ophelia, are you saying...?"
"Mr. Green is essentially the family's black sheep, and old man Evergreen handed all the power to this outcast. Now that the outcast has kicked Grey out, what do you think will happen to Grey?"
"Not good, that's for sure. Otherwise, Evergreen Global wouldn't have said anything. Are you implying...?" Before she finished her words, Hayley seemed to realize. "You're saying something's happened to Grey, and now both Grey and his older brother are planning to take on Mr. Green?"
"If you have any dirt on Nancy, or can leverage something against her, I think they'd be willing to help you."
"Leverage on Nancy..." Hayley was clearly considering this, and after a while, a wild grin spread across her face. "I do have something. But how do I get in touch with Grey?"
"I have a way. Just tell me, and I'll pass it on." Ophelia mused with a knowing smile.
"Boss, Nora wants to see you. Should I let her in?" Winnie asked with a sarcastic edge in her voice. Nancy raised an eyebrow but didn't answer right away.
Judson suddenly wrapped his arm around Nancy. "Nancy, don't meet her. We're already swamped, and we don't have the time."
Nancy raised her brow again, about to nod in agreement.
Then a shrill voice pierced the air from outside. "Lena, I know you're in there! I know I was wrong. Please, I'm begging you, let me go, or I'll end it right here!"
Before the echo of her words faded, Orlando's serious voice followed, "Are you crazy? Who let you bring a knife in here?"
Nancy's face tightened, and without another thought, she sprinted out the door.
Judson's eyes flashed with determination as he followed closely behind.
In the main hall, Nora stood there, her face twisted, clutching a knife, her expression frantic.
Nancy's face darkened. "Nora, what do you think you're doing!"
The words of online hatred swirled in Nora's head, driving her into a frenzy as she charged at Nancy. "Lena, I know I was wrong, please, I beg you..."
But before Nora could reach Nancy, Judson had already grabbed her by the throat.
Quick as lightning, Nora didn't even have a

catching as she hit the floor with a thud.
Orlando and Lenard finally snapped out of it, immediately seizing the knife from Nora and hauling her to her feet.
Lenard, at the end of his rope, was about to slap Nora across the face when-
Smack-Winnie slapped Nora hard across the face, her normally composed features now seething with
anger.
"Nora, I swear on the Vaughan family name, I'll see you rot in prison!"
Nora blinked, dazed by Winnie's words, while Lenard chuckled darkly. "Think about the Queen's surname."
Nora's eyes widened in shock. "You...!"
"You think you know who Penny is? Penny is my sister, the head of the Young family," Winnie sneered. Do you really think Grey is invincible?"
The Young family, once serving the crown, had been dubbed the Queen's lapdogs in their heyday.
All warmth drained from Nora's face.
It was over. Everything was over.
Meanwhile, at the hospital.
"Doctor, how is my son?" A stunningly beautiful woman gazed at the bed where Grey lay, her demeanor nearing hysteria.
The doctor spoke with a tremor in
his voice, "This... it doesn't look
good. The bleeding in his brain net
severe; waking up might be along shot."

The woman's face turned ghostly pale, disbelief causing her to stagger back, feeling as though all her
strength had been sapped away.
Just as she was about to collapse, someone caught her in time. "Mother, are you alright?"
