The Omnipotent Mrs. Ranford By Darlene Wright

Chapter 44

Chapter 44

However, it made Alexandra feel bitter. She did not know why she would feel like this

When she returned upstairs from the piano room, Alexandra was like a deflated balloon. Her mind was a mess, and she felt a little depressed.

No wonder Julian refused to tell her what he liked.

He liked the piano.

And she had nothing to do with the piano at all. Perhaps Julian had long been in love with her sister, Veronica, whom she had never met before?

Alexandra thought that after all, she and Julian were not from the same world.

However, she did not know why she felt a little lonely.

The next day, when she arrived at school, Alexandra went straight to the principal’s office and told Colin her decision.

Hearing Alexandra’s decision, Colin almost spat out the tea in his mouth. “What? You want to join the Piano Department?”

Alexandra nodded, her gaze resolute.

She thought about it for the entire night. In the end, for some reason, she suddenly made up her mind.

She wanted to study piano.

In any case, learning plano should involve less effort than finance or chemistry.

Moreover, Emery was also in the Piano Department. This way, she could be with Emery more often.

Furthermore, Julian might be happy that she could choose the Plano Department.

In any case, Alexandra made up her mind.

The second person to hear this news was Emery. Although she was very surprised, she was also very happy.

They were all in the Piano Department, so they could be inseparable.

Emery even said boldly, “Alex, I can teach you anything you don’t know!”

In the afternoon, Alexandra’s school records were ready.

”

Emery accompanied her to the Piano Department’s office to collect some documents. Unexpectedly, they met Martha and Kelly in the office.

They were also from the Piano Department, and Kelly was the prettiest girl in the Piano Department.

They had specially come over when they heard that Alexandra was going to join the Piano Department.

The head of the Plano Department was called Zoey Gomes. She was once a famous pianist. Now she was more than 40 years old, but she was still very beautiful and graceful. Ten years ago, she came to University of Highclere to teach and brought out a large number of young pianists both home and abroad.

Alexandra was forced into Zoey’s department by Colin. Art largely seeped into Zoey’s life in the past. She was simple–minded and stubborn, and she hated it when others went against her wishes.

She was the one who personally tested and selected her students every year.  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

This time, Colin, as the principal, had directly introduced Alexandra, which made Zoey especially unhappy.

The reason why Colin was so enthusiastic was that he felt that he had let Alexandra down when it came to the entrance exam. Therefore, he

took this opportunity to save his reputation.

Before entering, Emery had already introduced the department head, Zoey, to Alexandra

Alexandra ignored Kelly and the others. She walked up to Zoey and introduced herself, “Hello, Miss Gomes. My name is Alexandra

Zoey sat in the chair, wearing a navy blue traditional dress. Coupled with her well–maintained face, she exuded an otherworldly beauty.

She raised her intoxicating fox–like eyes and could not hide the disdain in them. “You’re Alexandra, the one who got a higher score than the mathematics genius? Why? Those professors from the Department of Mathematics and Science were not good enough for you? Why did you choose my department?”

Alexandra did not expect her to be so straightforward, but she was not scared. After the previous incidents, her ability to withstand pressure and adapt was much better.

Her bright moon–like eyes curved as she said to Zoey, “Miss Gomes, I listened to the piano CD you released last night. It was really nice. Now that I’ve seen you today, your aura is indeed so outstanding Especially that CD of yours from three years ago, that Purple Indigo is my favorite.”

As the saying went, how could one hit an apologetic person?. Alexandra’s praise was so sincere that Zoey felt guilty for her attitude just now

Her attitude softened a little. “But you have to know that the students I recruit have been practicing the piano since they were young. What level are you at?”

Alexandra continued to smile. “Miss Gomes, I’ve never learned piano before.”

Zoey’s face immediately darkened again. She tried to calm herself down and said, “You’ve never learned piano before? You think my department is a place for you to play?”

Martha said, “You’ve never learned piano before, yet you still want to study piano in Miss Gomes’s department? Alex, you came because you want to lower the average score of our department, right?”

Kelly said gently, “Miss Gomes, since Alex is so eager to join your department, I don’t see why you shouldn’t give her a chance.”

Alexandra ignored the two women and said to Zoey, “Miss Gomes, everyone says that you have made remarkable achievements in playing. plano and that you’re both virtuous and talented. It’s precisely because I haven’t learned it that I need to find a high–level teacher! Only then can I improve faster! I’ll definitely study hard!”

Emery also said confidently, “Miss Gomes, Alex is very obedient. If she doesn’t know how to do it right, I’ll tutor her in private. Don’t worry.”

Martha added, “You’re just two of a kind. I doubt that you’ll get any better with each other.”

Alexandra was not influenced by her words at all. She glanced at Martha and Kelly with a smile and said to Martha, “Yeah, you’re so good. You spend every hour with Kelly on a daily basis. I don’t think you get any better with her.”

“You…” Martha was once again rendered speechless by Alexandra’s retort.

Zoey glanced at them and fell silent.

In the end, she did not make things difficult for Alexandra. After all, it was personally arranged by the principal, and Zoey was not that

unreasonable.

After handing the documents to Alexandra for her signature, Alexandra officially became a member of the Piano Department of University of Highclere.

Alexandra was in a good mood now that she had finished her work for the day.

There were no classes in the Piano Department in the afternoon, so Alexandra wanted to go to the supermarket. Her period was coming.

When she came out of the supermarket, it was getting late. She ate her ice cream and strolled to wait for the bus.

When she got home, she realized that Julian had not returned yet

Initially, she wanted to send him a message to tell him that she had signed up for the Piano Department. However, she felt that it was better to tell him in person

In the end, Julian did not come back even after she finished dinner, showered, and went to be

When Julian pushed the door open and entered, the bedside lamp was still on.

Alexandra would leave a light on for him every night because she knew that he would often work until she fell asleep before coming in quietly

Perhaps it was to avoid the awkwardness of sleeping in the same room.

In short, Alexandra often did not see him before she went to bed, nor did she see him after she woke up. However, he did sleep on the sofa in the bedroom at night.

Julian tried his best not to make any noise. Alexandra slept very soundly, and he didn’t see her wake up in the middle of the night. However, he was still more careful not to disturb her sweet dreams.

When he came out of the shower, he was wearing black silk pajamas and drying his hair with a towel. Drops of water ran down his cheeks and into his cold collarbone.

Just as he was wiping, there was a sudden movement behind him. His hand paused, and then he heard a sound on the bed.
