Chapter 108
Chapter 108
Julian, who was sitting opposite her, took in her expression and lowered his eyes.
He said as he picked up some food, “Grandma, if you like this place, you can stay here for a few more days.”
Alexandra immediately looked at Josephine and begged the grandmother!
This time, Josephine did not side with her grandson. Instead, she said, “You forgot that it’s gonna be your birthday soon. Your birthday is the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Ranford Group. There are many things to prepare.”
If Josephine hadn’t said anything. Julian would have forgotten about it.
He thought for a moment and said, “Alright, grandma, I’ll listen to you. We’d go back before school starts again for Alex. There are still two to three days before that.”
Josephine nodded. “Sure. Then I’ll stay here for a few more days.”
Alexandra pouted and lowered her head to eat.
Julian pretended not to see it.
After dinner, Alexandra and Josephine went upstairs together. It was for Alexandra to give Josephine a massage and teach her how to film short
videos.
As she was playing. Alexandra realized that the webpage on her phone was stuck.
She refreshed it and saw that the network was not connected.
The video that Josephine was watching was also stuck. She asked, “Why can’t I see it?”
Alexandra took her phone and got out of bed to put on her shoes. “It might be an internet malfunction. I’ll go down and take a look.”
Julian’s study was also on the second floor, just a door away from Josephine’s bedroom.
Alexandra knew that Julian was in the study and knocked on the door.
When Julian heard the knock on the door, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and he said, “Please come in.”
Alexandra pushed open the door and asked Julian with her phone, “Mr. Ranford, is the WiFi at home broken? Why can’t we go on the internet?”
Julian sat behind the desk and pretended to be ignorant as he asked, “Really?”
Alexandra walked in and nodded at him. “I can’t connect to WiFi. Take a look at what’s going on.”
Julian stretched out his hand. “Give me your phone. I’ll help you take a look.”
Alexandra was not as scheming as Julian. She handed the phone that was not connected to the internet to Julian.
The phone’s screen showed the “Setting” interface. Julian swiped her phone twice.
When he returned to the homepage, he saw the words written on Alexandra’s screensaver. [Life’s Goal, Become a Rich Woman].
He paused and glanced at Alexandra.
Alexandra blinked cutely.
Julian casually swiped her phone a few times and somehow swiped to the contact list page.
After searching for a while, sure enough, she did not save his phone number, even though he had called her with his phone previously.
He was a little angry.
Then, he reached out and handed the phone with the screen facing down to Alexandra. “Something wrong with the fiber optics, I guess. I’ll go down and take a look.”
“Oh,” Alexandra replied and reached out to take the phone..
When Julian’s fingers were about to touch the phone, his fingers suddenly loosened.
“Bang!” Alexandra watched as her phone fell to the floor.
She frowned and squatted down to pick up her phone.
The phone screen shattered.
Julian had already stood up and pretended to look guilty. He looked at Alexandra’s phone screen with concern. “I was careless. I’m sorry.”
Alexandra looked at the phone screen that had shattered into pieces and glanced at Julian aggrievedly.
To be honest, Julian had crushed the phone screen first.
Otherwise, even if the phone fell from the ceiling, the screen wouldn’t have shattered into such a mess.

Chapter 105
Alexandra looked at the phone screen, then at Julian, then at the phone screen, and then at Julian. “Then, Mr. Ranford… You broke my phone. You have to get me a new one, right?”
“Told you!” Julian thought. He knew that if he broke Alexandra’s things, she would definitely demand compensation.
This was because he had never seen someone as stingy and money–loving as Alexandra.
Everything was going according to Julian’s plan.
He pretended to think for a moment, then stared at Alexandra’s pitiful little face. “Okay, I’ll pay”
Alexandra looked at her phone with heartache and said reasonably, “Changing the screen alone would cost 200 dollars at least, I guess..”
Julian had already taken out the new phone and placed it on the table.
Alexandra was shocked when she saw a certain branded phone bag appear out of thin air.
Julian said casually, “I originally bought it for Lisa. She doesn’t like this brand, so you can have it. Do whatever you want with it.”
Alexandra was speechless.
Julian opened the phone box and took out the brand–new phone. He said to her, “Give me your old phone. I’ll help you transfer the memory of your phone to the new phone.”
Alexandra was confused.
“Why do I suddenly feel that everything is so coincidental?” She thought.
With a mind full of questions, Alexandra handed the broken phone to Julian.
Julian sat down and started to deal with her phone. He stuffed the SIM card from the old phone into the new phone.
Then, very patiently, he helped her transmit the old files on her phone. The file transfer took a little time.
Julian said, “I’ll go down and fix the WIFI.”
The fiber optics were not broken. It was just that he had “accidentally unplugged the LAN cable.
He plugged in the cable and returned to his room.
The file was also successfully transferred.
In the end, he quietly added his phone number and name to Alexandra’s contact list.
He fiddled with the phone a few times. It was alright. It ran smoothly and was 10 times better than Alexandra’s old phone.
He handed the phone to Alexandra. “Alright, the internet is working now.”
Alexandra took the new phone, still in a daze.
She was just here to see if there was anything wrong with the Internet, not expecting her phone to have to be sacrificed.
Moreover, she suddenly had a high–end lady’s phone that she would rather die than buy on her own.
Just as she was testing the speed of the new phone, the screen suddenly flashed back to the incoming call page.
The caller ID read, Julian Ranford].
Under the name was a string of phone numbers.
Alexandra looked up at Julian in surprise.
Julian raised the phone to his car without changing his expression and said to her, “Answer it and see if it works. If it doesn’t, I’ll get you another one.”
Alexandra actually wanted to ask why his number was on her phone.
She remembered that she did not save it.
At Julian’s urging, Alexandra picked up the call.
She looked at Julian, and Julian looked back at her. “Hello, can you hear me?”
Alexandra was in a daze for a moment. When she heard Julian’s voice and the voice on the phone at the same time, she felt her heart tremble.
She said, “Yes, I can.”
“That’s good. Call me if you need anything in the future. I’m hanging up
After Julian finished speaking, he still put the phone to his ear.
He stared at Alexandra without blinking.
Alexandra’s heart raced. She put away her phone and hung up.
After the call was cut off, Julian let go of the phone and placed it on the table.
Chapter 108
Alexandra looked at Julian’s name in the log and asked, “But when did I save your number?”
Julian said innocently, “How would I know?”
