Chapter 40 - Elias
Elias
Elias had dozed off with Ally and something woke him up. He got up, going to the computer to check the time. It was a few minutes until midnight.
Elias quickly hacked into the system and set all the cameras to loop the last hour. That would give them plenty of time. Next, he opened all the doors to the rooms, except for Enyastasia’s, which was already open.
Elias sighed, knowing what he would find next door.
Now he just had to avoid it. He tried locking open the security doors in their path to the elevator but wasn’t sure if they would stay open or not. They might simply be re-over-ridden.
He walked over to the bed, picking up Ally, waking her up as he held her. Telling her she had to be quiet because Enya’s door was open, she might hear them if they were loud, Ally nodded while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
Elias crept out of his room to Enya’s, looking around the wall. Enya and the guard were going at it like usual, and Elias hurried across to the other side where he turned the corner.
“What were they doing?” Ally asked.
“Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head over,” he told her, avoiding that discussion for now.
He rounded the corner and looked around. To his right, he saw Devon and Selim and to his left, Jocelyn and Edward were waiting.
Elias waited for Devon and Selim, then they all four went to where Joss and Ed were waiting. He looked down the corridor and could see pairs of kids waiting at intersections.
Joss went to Elias and kissed him quickly, giving Ally one too, when alarms started going off. Red lights popped out of the ceiling and started strobing as well.
“Come on,” he yelled and moved towards the others waiting for them. He waived them forward to where Mitch and Bradly waited at the end of the corridor, which after a right turn, led straight to the elevator.
“Stop!” a voice yelled from behind them.
Elias told the others to keep going and he turned to look back.
Enya stood at the far end, still pulling on clothes. Once her workout top was covering her, she ran down the hall towards them.
She was faster than Elias carrying Ally and grabbed his shoulder, spinning him around. Enya grabbed Allyson, who put her hand on Enya, but nothing happened.
Enya smiled, but that disappeared when Elias grabbed her and punched her. It caused her to step back a step, where she turned her head and spit blood.
She looked back at him, smiling a bloody grin and delivered a straight kick to his midsection, barely missing Ally.
Elias stumbled back several steps back, knowing he was going down. He covered himself over Ally as he went down.
Elias forgot about the day he saw her training – until now. It came back to him in a very painful way.
“Bitch,” Joss yelled, charging back to Elias and Ally.
Elias rolled over off of Ally, pushing her up. “Go,” he urged.
Jocelyn came flying and put her shoulder down ramming into Enya, who let her.
They both went down, Joss on top.
Enya smiled and released the energy that Joss had just given her.
Joss went flying upwards, while the blast did nothing to Elias. Joss landed with a thud as she fell the five feet she had been lifted by the blast, knocking the wind out of her.
