Chapter 242
Eder’s frustration grew even more, and he felt like his heart was being squeezed in pain. He wanted to explode with anger, but he managed to control himself, not wanting to lose his temper in front of Grace.
However, Eric seemed fearless and continued clapping his hands in the hallway, repeating those code words over and over again. It tested Eder’s patience to the max.
If Eder didn’t need Eric for a mission, he would have sent him away to work hard in Africa. The thought brought both satisfaction and frustration to Eder’s mind.
Eder tried his best to endure the constant clapping and repetition of those triggering words, but there came a point where he couldn’t take it anymore. His patience reached its limit.
Meanwhile, Grace remained oblivious to the tension building inside Eder. She was still sitting on top of him, focusing on massaging his belly and neck, unaware of the turmoil.
To keep a calm appearance, Eder took out his phone and sent a message to Eric. He told him that for each clap, 1000 would be deducted, and he should handle the financial settlement himself and leave the villa immediately. He hoped his message would make Eric stop the disruptive clapping.
Soon, the noise outside the door quieted down. Eder received a message notification and saw a series of desperate messages from Eric, filled with crying and begging emoticons.
Without hesitation, Eder clicked on a button to block Eric’s messages, cutting off the communication.
Grace, still focused on her task, remained unaware of what had transpired. She continued. massaging Eder’s belly and neck, completely unaware of the tension and drama unfolding around
her.
-After more than thirty minutes, Grace finished the massage session. She stepped off the bed and
headed to the bathroom to wash her hands. Returning with a basin of hot water and a towel, she helped Eder wipe his body.
“Eder, my hands are all red from scrubbing,” she said, sitting back down on Eder and showing him her reddened palms.
Eder gently grabbed her small hand and pressed his cool, thin lips against her palm, kissing it tenderly and affectionately. His actions were filled with sincerity.
Grace quietly observed him, her eyes fixated on his handsome face. A smile appeared at the corners. of her mouth, unable to be hidden.
After kissing her palm, Eder gazed at her with a half–smile, his dark eyes shining. “Once my injuries heal, I’ll be the one to improve your blood circulation and remove blood stasis.”
Grace instantly understood his meaning, and her face turned completely red.
“Think positively, don’t be shy!” she responded with a mix of playfulness and embarrassment.
The following day marked an important event the ribbon–cutting ceremony for the Angle Building. Grace woke up early, refreshed herself, and proceeded with her morning skincare routine, including applying a face mask and moisturizer. Then, she began to do her makeup.
Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing Eder dressed in a sleek black silk robe. With his deep captivating eyes, he entered the room and naturally positioned himself behind Grace.
and
“What are you doing?” Grace asked, eyeing the eyebrow pencil in her hand. Before she could react, Eder reached out and gently took hold of it. “Let me help you with your makeup,” he said..

She looked a bit skeptical. “Are you sure? Today’s ribbon–cutting ceremony is crucial, and we can’t afford any mistakes.”
Eder nodded with determination, placing his hands on her shoulders and turning her to face him.
Grace closed her eyes halfway, allowing him to use the eyebrow pencil to shape her eyebrows. Initially, she thought his technique was decent. However, as five minutes passed, Eder had yet to finish drawing her eyebrows.
a
Sensing something amiss, Grace gave him a warning look and playfully threatened, “If you dare intentionally mess up my face and ruin my makeup, I’ll twist your fingers until they swell up like pig
trotters!”
Eder’s hand, which was in the process of drawing eyebrows, froze instantly, and he reluctantly withdrew his hand.
Grace opened her eyes, casting a cold snort in Eder’s direction. She then turned her head to inspect her reflection in the mirror. Surprisingly, her eyebrows were perfectly and evenly drawn.
Grace was pleasantly surprised as Eder successfully filled in the remaining gaps, achieving the perfect shape for her eyebrows. She hadn’t expected his makeup skills to be so impressive.
“Eder, you actually know how to do makeup. Who taught you? Grace asked curiously. “Based on your skillful technique, have you helped other women with their makeup before? Did you assist Nancy in this way?”
Her expression grew more serious, and her gaze turned icy, enough to freeze someone in their tracks. Eder’s smile faltered. How did the conversation shift to old matters?
Grace’s anger intensified. “You hesitated. Are you trying to come up with excuses to deceive me? Did I hit the nail on the head?”
Eder hurriedly denied it three times, attempting to prove his innocence. “No, I didn’t. I’m not. I promise. I learned sketching portraits in the military, and I thought I could give it a try. Besides, didn’t we agree to leave the past behind? Why are you suddenly bringing up unrelated people… Grace narrowed her gaze, her dangerous aura becoming more prominent. “Are you feeling guilty?”
“No, really, I’m not,” Eder insisted, but his explanations only seemed to make matters worse. He could clearly sense the chill emanating from her.
Whenever that matter was mentioned, he was always in the wrong. Quickly standing up, he assumed a rigid military posture and squatted in front of her, his back straight.
“I swear, you are the first woman I’ve ever personally done eyebrows for, and you will be the only one,” Eder stated, looking up at her with incredibly sincere, dark eyes.
Grace met his gaze, feeling a pull towards his deep eyes. She gently touched his sharply defined. facial contours with her small hand. But as soon as she remembered how he used to behave and always told ljes, her hand transformed into a pinch on his cheeks.
“Eder, you’re a crafty man. Your tricks might work on others, but they won’t work on me. Sooner or later, I will tame and train you to be honest!”
With her final words, she hummed twice, her eyes shining with determination, and a hint of cold arrogance graced the corner of her mouth.
“Tame and train me?” Eder raised an eyebrow. “It depends on how capable Grace is.”
Their eyes locked, filled with a mixture of challenge and affection.
In each other’s gaze, a strong desire for conquest burned. With time running out, Grace hurried to resume her makeup, and Eder assisted her in selecting the perfect colors for eyeshadow, blush, and

lipstick, restoring a harmonious atmosphere.
“Grace, do you need my help with today’s ribbon–cutting ceremony?” Eder asked.
“No, this is the first company t established after leaving Smith family, I will rely on myself to establish Angle’s reputation in S City,” Grace declared confidently. “Moreover, I want to surpass you and become the country’s sole female billionaire!”
Her words exuded ambition and arrogance. Eder stared at her mysteriously.
“Actually, if you want to become the richest woman, there’s a shortcut. Do you want to know?” he teased.
Grace looked at him curiously, expecting his response.
“That is, marry me, and all the assets under my name will be yours,” Eder proposed.
She knew he would say that, so she playfully pushed his forehead with her fingertips.
“You wish! Don’t think that being engaged means you have me trapped. There are still many obstacles to overcome before we can achieve the goal of marriage. At least for now, you won’t have an easy time with my brothers,” Grace asserted.
Eder wasn’t discouraged. “I’m skilled at overcoming obstacles,” he confidently stated.
With a serious expression, Grace pretended to be mature and patted his shoulder as if shouldering a heavy responsibility.
“The revolution is still ongoing, and comrades still need to work hard,” she remarked before bidding him farewell and heading to the Angle Building.
Arriving early, Grace found the building unusually quiet, with only Angle employees present. She went through the preparations again, patiently awaiting the arrival of the guests.
However, as the scheduled time of 9:30 approached, and she had been waiting at the entrance since 9:10, not a single invited guest had arrived. The surroundings of the building remained empty and
silent.
Frowning, Grace reviewed the two–page list of invited guests who had promised to attend. It was highly unusual for the area to be so deserted at this hour.
Something was not right.
