Chapter 3835
When Jordan got into the Houlmount prepared by Isaac and departed for the city of Aurous Hill, he was very annoyed, and he sat in the left seat in the back row without saying a word. Chandler, who was over a hundred years old, was seated on his right.
When Chandler saw that Jordan was in a bad mood, he smiled and asked him," Jordan, I see that you're not very happy."
"How could I be happy...?" Jordan said resentfully, "Chandler, to tell you the truth, I've been feeling irritated ever since I got off the plane!"
Chandler smiled slightly and reminded him, "Jordan, as the saying goes, we should relax and take things as they come. You should try your best to be calm."
Jordan nodded reluctantly, and he could not help but feel annoyed as he looked at the interior of the car with a look of disgust that could not be concealed.
Chandler could tell that Jordan probably could not get used to this kind of C-class car which cost only hundreds of thousands of dollars. After all, the price of this whole car might not even be comparable to a seat in the car that Jordan usually traveled in. So, he smiled and said to Jordan, "Jordan, don't underestimate this car. This is the Houlmount."
Jordan was smiling but not from the heart as he said, "I know that it's the Houlmount, but this is the first time I'm sitting in it."
Chandler said seriously, "The Houlmount is the eldest son of Oskia, and it is the founder of the automobile industry in Oskia. It has been a leading car that has been unstoppable for decades. It's of great significance to the people of Oskia. The organizer should have a reason for arranging this car to pick us up."
Jordan said, "In that case, the organizer of this auction must be quite patriotic."
"Yes." Chandler nodded and said, "We should respect every patriotic person because he will not stand in the wrong position in the face of right and wrong."
Jordan did not speak, and he simply frowned slightly as he sunk deep in thought.
When the convoy arrived at Shangri-La, the entire Shangri-La was under martial law.
Aside from Shangri-La's own motorcade which was allowed to enter and exit, all other miscellaneous people were prohibited from entering.
However, the lobby of the hotel was bustling with people.
The bidders who had been sent over one after the other were checking in one by one.
However, what made them feel as though they were on the verge of collapse was that the price of the accommodation here was extremely expensive. Even the price of the most common standard room for a total of three nights of stay was more than a million dollars.
Everyone knew that the organizer was deliberately taking advantage of this opportunity to rip them off. For these people, money was not important, but being ripped off like this was psychologically unacceptable. Jordan too could not help but curse in his heart when he saw on the fake target that it would cost six million dollars to stay in the presidential suite for three days.
Nevertheless, he resisted his urge to lose his temper, and he said to the receptionist at the check-in counter, "I want the presidential suite."
The other party replied immediately, "I'm sorry, but the presidential suite has already been booked by number 016. You can take a look at the other room types."
Jordan did not know who number 016 was, but since the room was already taken, he could only settle for second-best, and he took the luxury suite for two million dollars.
In contrast, Chandler received much
better treatment. As a VIP, he was placed in the executive luxury suite in the administrative building, which was second only to the presidential suite in the entire Shangri-La Furthermore, it was completely free of charge.
After Jordan had checked in, the first thing he did upon entering the room was to immediately make a phone call to Kathleen.
As soon as the phone call was connected, Kathleen, who was on the other end of the line, asked, "Grandpa, have you finished checking in yet?"
Jordan let out a sigh and said, "It's done. You guessed it correctly. They really arranged for all the bidders to stay at Shangri-La. I think that this is definitely the venue for the auction."
Kathleen said, "Grandpa, my situation is special, so I will not be meeting up with you for the next two days. However, I will continue to think of ways to mediate with everyone related to the Rejuvenating Pill on the outside." Jordan hurriedly asked, "How is the progress now?"
Kathleen said truthfully, "I dare not say that I have absolute certainty, but at the very least, there has been a certain breakthrough. The other party wants to invite me to dinner after the auction. If you fail to get the Rejuvenating Pill at the auction, I will take you along with me to see him when the time comes."
"Okay." Jordan heaved a sigh of relief, and he said, "Kathleen, you've really worked hard this time! You've been running back and forth for such a long time over this matter."
