Chapter The Heart 72
Chapter 64
The group had been seated for quite a while, enjoying their meal, yet Franklin and Johnny hadn't exchanged a single word.
Upon hearing this, Franklin picked up a napkin and wiped the corner of his lips. He glanced at Johnny and smiled. "I've indeed considered it. What do you think, Mr. Gray?" Johnny, naturally, wouldn't miss the opportunity for business.
"It's an honor for us at Cole to have Mr. Wilson's attention."
If Franklin and Johnny truly formed a partnership, Julia would be pleased.
After all, if the two men started getting closer, her chances of interacting more with Julia
would increase. It would then be easier for her to win him over.
Thinking of this, she cast a cold glance at Maggie.
Maggie had mostly been talking with Professor Liam. Though he paid some attention to the others at the table, he didn't seem too concerned.
If Johnny really wanted to collaborate with Franklin, she had no objections. There was no reason for her to turn down potential profits.
As the meal neared its end, everyone began to rise, as it wasn't necessary to remain seated once the food was finished. Those with business intentions would gather by the nearby sofa to discuss.
Franklin had only casually mentioned the possibility of working with Cole during dinner, but whether this would come to fruition, Maggie wasn't sure. However, Kevin, who was dining with them, seemed genuinely interested in collaborating.
Sure enough, before the meal was even finished, Kevin and the management team he brought were already chatting with Johnny.

Maggie followed them over.
When it came to technology, Maggie was proficient. As for the negotiations, that was Johnny's domain.
Maggie sat quietly, rarely speaking. But when she noticed Johnny's cup was empty, she took it and said, "I'll refill it for you."
Johnny smiled. "Thanks."
Seeing Maggie acting as Johnny's secretary, Julia and Lauren were now more certain that Maggie's role at Cole was likely to be nothing more than assisting Johnny. Maggie, holding the cup, turned around and took a few steps. As she got closer to Franklin, someone near her suddenly pivoted, unintentionally bumping into her. Maggie lost her balance for a moment, and before she could steady herself, she fell forward, landing right into Franklin's arms.
Everyone around them froze.
At first glance, it seemed like Maggie had been knocked over, but who could say for sure if it was truly an accident?
After all, what were the odds that she would fall straight into Franklin's arms?
Moreover, Maggie was extraordinarily beautiful, with a slender figure, soft curves, and skin so fair it resembled milk...
Though Julia was also quite beautiful, many of the men present still thought Maggie was
the more stunning one.
To have a woman like her deliberately fall into one's arms was... well, let's just say it sparked some thoughts in the minds of many men there. But Franklin was different.
With a cold expression, he gently steadied Maggie by her shoulder and immediately pushed

her away, showing no sign of being distracted by her beauty.
It wasn't until she was pressed against him and inhaled his familiar scent that Maggie
realized she had fallen into Franklin's arms.
Once she registered what had happened, her expression turned neutral. She stood up straight, muttered an "I'm sorry," and turned to walk away.
Julia and Lauren, too, were now convinced that Maggie had deliberately thrown herself into Franklin's arms.
Lauren scoffed and said to Julia, "I told you she couldn't just sit still."
"But no matter how hard she tries, it's useless."
Because Franklin wasn't moved in the least.
"True," Lauren smiled. "Franklin's reaction really does give you a sense of security."
Julia smiled sweetly and lowered her head.
Logan furrowed his brows. He felt he had misjudged Maggie. Who would've thought that
such a quiet woman could have so many tricks up her sleeve?
Noticing the situation, Johnny paused his conversation with Kevin and quickly walked over
to Maggie.
"Are you alright?"
Maggie shook her head.
"Did you sprain your ankle?"
""Just a little."
