The Greatest Man Alive By Maveric Bowman

Chapter 546

Nathan went to the Méreau Clinic directly with the contract that Jessica gave him.
Natasha had been transferred to the general ward already, but she still lived in a VIP ward right now. This VIP ward was so well-
decorated that it was even like a high-class suit in a luxury hotel, and only those who had power and money could live in such a
special ward.
The Méreau Clinic was famous around the country already, and there was a continuous stream of patients all the time, some of
whom were renowned figures.
Natasha was feeling much better now, but she still looked very pale. She was surprised that Nathan didn't come to bother her for
all these days. However, speaking of the devil, as she thought this, Nathan showed up in her ward, which made Natasha blame
herself for being such a doomsayer.
"Hey, what are you reading, Ms. Porter? Wow, it's Jane Eyre, that is a good book indeed," Nathan came in with a big smile on his
face, and he was holding a fruit basket in his hand.
Natasha's face darkened immediately, and she felt uncomfortable somehow as soon as Nathan came into her sight.
She thought she could face Nathan calmly this time, but things were not like what she had imagined. After all, there was a
difference between imagination and reality. Moreover, she lost to Nathan again, and she would have been dead but for him.
Natasha looked at Nathan with a cold expression, and said, "What are you doing here? You know you are not welcome here!"
"Please watch your language, and I have to remind you that you are breathing right now only because I saved your life, and I
paid all your medical expenses as well. So this is your way of treating your life- saver?" Nathan replied.
Natasha put down the book immediately, and even the Bible couldn't make her calm down right now in front of Nathan, let alone
Jane Eyre.
Nathan sat on the couch, picking out an apple, and peeling it with a knife.
"Do you want to have one? I'll peel one for you," Nathan smiled.
"Of course!" Natasha said with a cold smile.
While Nathan was lowering his head, and peeling the apple, he asked, "Did you send my greetings to my mother after you came
back to Emperia City?"

"I came to see her once, but she seemed skinny and listless. She was in bad condition right now, and she really wanted you to
pick her up for a reunion," replied Natasha.
Nathan shook his head, "My mother is not that kind of negative person. She's gentle and strong, and she treats her friends
kindly, as well as herself... She wouldn't say something like that because she knew I would be in great danger once I came to
Emperia City..."
"Let me guess, she should be leading a good life right now, keeping a healthy diet, sleeping well and taking a walk sometimes,
and her body is in good condition."
Natasha was stunned for a while, and then said, "You are right, she's doing alright, and she even wanted me to tell you to stay
away from Emperia City."
On hearing this, Nathan smiled suddenly, "I knew it, you couldn't lie to me about this..."
"I have to admit, she's a very gentle person, and I feel very comfortable getting along with her. But I just can't figure out why such
a kind woman would give birth to an asshole like you!" Natasha said.
"Why don't you help us too now that you like her so much? Isn't it a beautiful thing to help my family be reunited again?" Nathan
said.
With a cold expression on her face, Natasha didn't answer him at all, and she didn't even bother to answer him.
Nathan threw the apple into her hands after be peeled it, and said with calm, "The Mendez family are all bastards, they even
tried to take control of my mother. Even though my father couldn't talk, he was a good guy, and the Mendez family had no reason
to look down upon him."
"The Mendez family didn't look down upon him. They were just angry because your mother didn't follow their orders and your
father did something that crossed the line. Or should I say, it's your parents who challenged the authority of the Mendez family,”
Natasha took a bite of the apple, and said in a cold voice.
"The Mendez family doesn't respect human rights, and that's the reason why there are so many people standing against them,"
said Nathan.
"Your mother was a member of the Mendez family as well, so she had every reason to follow the orders made by her parents,"
Natasha retorted.

Nathan burst into laughter suddenly, "Human rights never come from the leader of a country nor from parents. From the
perspective of traditional culture, virtue means to give up our personal rights, allowing the seniors of our family to take control of
all the family resources and a king to take control of all the social resources..."
"Only when the boundaries of private right were clearly drawn could the law be defined and the real virtues come into being. We
have to change our ideas from petty farmer ideology, patriarchy, and monarchy to individualism so that our society can evolve
from a traditional society into a modern one. Only thus, can we really accomplish the modernization transformation in our mind."
After saying this, Nathan tapped his head lightly with his hand and said, "Your ideas are too rotten, and old-fashioned. It's
someone's own business to decide whom that person is going to marry, and no one can make the decision for them."
"But in the end, it's still a tragedy. The Mendez family is so powerful that no one escapes from their clutches," Natasha replied
coldly.
Nathan laughed again, "That's why we have to destroy them! That's why there are people like Thunder West and Jade Perkins
showing up in Hechland. They always want to take control of everything with their power, as if they were the king. They just don't
know, some birds aren't meant to be caged, since they are longing for freedom."
Natasha kept biting the apple without saying anything, and she really didn't expect a douchebag like Nathan would say
something like that, and she was somewhat surprised by it.
"You are leading an honorable life because you are working for the Mendez family. But if the Mendez family wants to deprive you
of everything, they'll do it easily at any time. Are you willing to be a person living under the roof of someone else, and let them
take control of you?"
"Or should I say, the Natasha that I knew before has already gone, and changed into a person who bows and scrapes to men of
power."
Nathan sighed while shaking his head slightly, and then he said, "Maybe Jade Perkins also feels the same way!"
Natasha gritted her teeth with her cheeks sucked in, and raised her head with a vicious expression, yelling in a fierce voice,
"Shut up!"
"I'm just talking about facts, or maybe, I just want to leave a seed in your heart that may take root and turn into flowers one day,"
Nathan said with calm.

"After all, it's troublesome to have an enemy like you!" Natasha could only sneer to reply.
"Of course, it would be great if what I just said could make you betray the Mendez family at some critical moment!"
"I won't do anything that benefits no one but my enemies, unless you die in front of me," Natasha said with cold eyes.
Nathan suddenly pushed his face towards Natasha, smiling, "I am not going to die, because if I die, those disgusting people must
be feeling very happy, right?"
"What are you doing?" Natasha was in astonishment.
"Now you seem much better now, and it's time you paid the price. I can't just save you for nothing. Besides, you also lost the bet
with me..." Nathan kept smiling as he said those words with icy calm.
"You bastard!" Natasha was burning with anger.
But Nathan just burst into laughter, and said, "I was just kidding, and I'm not a bastard. It would be bad if your wounds opened
up."
After saying this, he took out the contract that Jessica gave him, and threw it in front of Natasha.
