"But dinner....?" I began, voice a little higher than usual. Calden hummed while nodding, and once again, his gaze dragged over every inch of my body and I had to force myself to not let my discomfort flash across my face.
"I... um," I trailed off, trying to search through my head for a tangible and extremely believable excuse. I didn't want to have this dinner with him, because it would end with him wanting to fuvk me, and If I can weasel out of this dinner, I'd be able to put off letting him have sex with me today.
Bit not coherent lie seem to be coming yo my head right now, just as C. sighed almost fondly as he stepped even closer
to me.
"Don't you like me?" He asked and I flinched, heart lirching in panic at the probability that he might have caught unto the truth. "What? No!" I echoed out while he rolled his eyes.
"I'm trying to confirm. Is that why you're clearly trying to find a way to not have this dinner with me tonight? One that I've been seamlessly planning all because I want to make you happy." Hd continued and I swallowed emptily, feeling my heart start to hammer against my ribs as I struggle to come up with a good response right now.
"Of course I like you, why would you think otherwise?" I forced myself to laugh and rolled my eyes this time before I continued.
"And, I'm not trying to weasel out of this dinner, I'm actually looking forward to it. I just slightly thought that we might be moving too fast? Since we just began to date and all." I mumglef the last part to come off as sincere as possible, when I was actually lying through my teeth tight now.
Calden sighed fondly before cupping my face and I stiffened, spine going rigid. I hated his hands on my skin now but I forced myself to remain still as his thumbs caressed my cheeks softly, mirth swimming in his eyes as he spoke.
"Oh darling, adorable Sabrina. We aren't moving fast, silly girl. Especially since we still don't know much about each other, and we're also yet to do any actual thing with each other. If you know what I mean." He winked at the last part of his sentence and I gagged inwardly. This man was so disgusting, that it was quite appalling,
However, I forced myself to laugh along with his train of laughter,
After that, he dropped his hand and stepped back.
"You'll get ready for tonight's dinner, yes?" He began as he took another step back. At this point it sounded like a threat.
I nodded stiffly and offered him a smile. "Yes, I will,"
He nodded in approval. "Good, good!".
He walked backward to the door and added.
"Don't forget yo dress in something sexy! I'll sef you tonight," he blew me a kiss and I made a show of giggling and glancing away shyly before he left and closed the door after him.
A long, relieved sigh escaped my throat once I was alone again, and I rejoined in the same spot for a few moments before I began to pave around the room,
My mind was a mess, and this dinner tonight that was looming before me like a dangerous sea which I was expected to jump right into, was taking il all the space in my mind.

I was still pacing around when Rose arrived, and she automatically assumed it was due to excitement because she began to eagerly bounce around. Apprently Caiden had broken the news to her and ordered her to assist me in getting prepared. "This would bring out the color in your eyes, Miss." she said while holding three different materials up, but they all looked like the same thing to me since I was barely focused on the task at hand.
Once rose realized I wasn't ready to input any of my opinion, she took it upon herself to select three different outfits which I'm to pick from. All theee outfits were fitted, and their cleavages were all hanging open in a very obsence way. I let out a long sigh to calm my nerves, but it didn't make any difference,
As I bathed that evening, I briefly wondered how Calden would react i e to tell him that I was tired and sleepy after tonight's dinner. Once was okay and seemed like a genuine excuse, but me doing it again tonight would just make it so obvious that I didn't want to sleep with him. I really don't want to, and I wish I can just tell him that, but knowing how dangerous he is, and how he can easily ruin me the way he saved me from Malachi and elevated me to the seat if a princess here in this palace, is the same way he could easily take it all away and make my life a living hell in the blink of an eye.
I know some people might believe that I was just overreacting. They might see it as just sex and nothing more. But to me its way more than that, which was why I never had sex till I fell in love with Zayn- that bastard.
A tiny part of my mind reminded me of the king and the fact that I had let him fuck me, and that i also thoroughly enjoyed it. My cheeks instantly flushed as I horridly shoved those thoughts out of my mind.
That was nothing but a mistake which won't ever happen again.
Rose came to help me from the bath in that moment and she asked me if I was fine as she took in my flushed expression. I quickly blamed it on the heat of the bath and she easily accepted it.
As Rose helped me get ready, she noticed my bleak expression, which wasn't hard to notice considering that I was frowning darkly at the mirror I was sitting in front of while she styled my hair, when I was clearly supposed to be over the moon right- now.
"Are you alright, Miss? Is something wrong?"
Our eyes met in the mirror after that question and I hesitated, considering telling her the truth, but after a few moments, I decided against it because that would be stupid and illogical of me, seeing as I was still yet to fully trust rose to the point of confiding in her. "I'm just tired, that's all." I responded, forcing a smile on.
As she resumed styling my long hair, she began a long rant of how the whole palace was had planned for me.

"Everyone are talking about it, even the harem girls!" She gushed ourastically, claiming a few people had caught
glimps of what Calden is planning tonight so it's the hottest gossipy out there. That undoubtedly made me feel a little curious, but I still wasn't looking forward to tonight in any way.
As the helped me slipped into the outfit.I decided on, which is the least revealing, it managed to hug my chest perfectly, and at least half of my cleavage was spilling out. The corset snatched my waist up and left my hips defined and the curve of my ass. The material hugged my hips and thighs before flaring out at the knees, all the way to the ground in an elegant train.
I almost couldn't recognize myself, and as I stared at myself right now, I see the luna queen I once was, the only thing missing was the crown.
"What do you think?" Rose asked, eagerly waiting for my verdict. I dragged a hand over my waist and stomach before offering her a smile because it wasn't her fault that I was in this wretched situation right now. She only did her job and she did it well, and she deserved her flowers.
I complimented her genuinely and she was preening with happiness when she began to drape a fur coat over my shoulders.

"It belongs to Sir Calden. I was instructed to make you wear this while bringing you to him." She explained and I pulled away to turn around and sniff at the jacket. It was Calden's and it carried a lot of his scent.
I didn't want his scent on me, it felt revolting to me now.
I shook my head at Rose and wrinkled my nose. "I'm quite fine like this, the coat isn't needed."
She frowned. "But Sir Calden said to make you wear it. He said he didn't want the guards seeing you in your outfit tonight because it's only for his eyes." She giggled at the end of her sentence like she thought it was cute, but I only rolled my eyes and shook my head again
"I won't be wearing that," I said firmly and headed for the door.
Let's get this over with.
