Chapter 202 Stunned

Ranita immediately had the hotel arrange another room for herself. After all, Shannon was here and she didn't want to be kicked out. As Ranita was packing up her things, she suddenly felt deflated and sat down on the couch like a balloon losing air.

What was she even packing for?

She was Brendon's wife, so why did she have to be so kind as to give up her room for Shannon?

A rebellious thought crossed Ranita's mind - maybe she should just take back her offer of divorce and let Shannon suffer!

Suddenly, there was a beep from the door as it unlocked with a card swipe.

Was that Brendon coming back already?

Ranita turned around but saw someone else instead - someone she didn't want to see!

Shannon sweetly called out to her, "Ranita... Brendon personally went out to buy me coffee. He gave me his room key so I could rest. I hope I'm not bothering you."

It was like nothing had happened earlier.

Ranita couldn't help but admire how thick-skinned Shannon really was - thicker than walls!

"I said you were bothering me. Will you leave now?"

"Ranita..." Shannon immediately looked wronged and accused, "Why do you have to say that? It's Brendon who asked me here."

How pitiful! How wronged!

Ranita really wanted to slap her across the face or else this anger would never go away.

"Brendon is good to me because he has deep feelings for me. Can't you understand that?" pleaded Shannon.

"Hmph!" Ranita sneered coldly, "Sorry, I don't understand at all! So please stop talking about it in front of me because I don't want to hear it."

Shannon looked hurt with red-rimmed eyes as if on the verge of tears, "Can you please stop hating on me like this? I really want us all get along!"

"Are you angry because Brendon sent flowers only for my sake? Should I give you roses then? As long as it makes you happy."

Ranita felt nauseous with twisted stomach pain.

"And also... Ranita, why are you packing your bags? Don't worry about sharing rooms with me. You're not officially separated yet so let's respect each other." Shannon's every word emphasized her own concessions, but each one stomped on Ranita's sore spots.

Shannon was flaunting, loudly proclaiming that everything she possessed was given to her by Brendon voluntarily.

If she wanted something, she could only accept it as charity.

Ranita suppressed all her emotions after a few ups and downs in her heart. She calmly said, "Miss Murphy, you're overthinking. I'm not very familiar with you, so I can't say whether I like you or not! As for the roses? Brendon gives them to female clients all the time. If I got angry every time, I

wouldn't need to eat! And as for the room snatching? It's only natural that I live with my husband, so it wouldn't be appropriate for you to snatch it, would it?"

Shannon was left speechless by Ranita's response.

Just then, Brendon returned.

"Brendon!" Shannon rushed over to him and stumbled slightly before he caught her.

"Why are you running? Be careful not to fall," he said.

"It's not... I just... I was careless... Brendon, I'm sorry." Shannon paused and looked at Brendon with teary eyes. Her voice was gentle as she said, "Ranita may not welcome me here, so I'll go back for now!"

Shannon bit her lip and looked at Brendon with soft eyes while pretending to be bullied and wronged.

Unexpectedly, Brendon nodded in agreement. "Okay! You go rest first. The coffee you wanted will be sent up by Julia."

Shannon was taken aback by his response.
