The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 45

Chapter 45

“Spill the beans already!” Jenny's eyes sparkled with anticipation, like she was about to bite into a juicy piece of gossip.

Aurelia popped a piece of orange into her mouth, lowering her voice slightly, “He's a friend from university. He's the only guy I've ever met who perfectly fits my criteria for a partner,”

As she spoke, Leopold's grip tightened around the magazine in his hands, crumpling it in the process.

He knew exactly who she was talking about.

“How come you two never dated?” Jenny asked.

“Well, just because I was into him doesn't mean he felt the same way about me. He's from out of town and after he went back, we lost contact.”

Aurelia shrugged nonchalantly, “I'm the type who can easily let go. If he doesn't like me, I'd move on without wasting my feelings.”

She hastily brown-nosed, “Thanks, Mr. Leopold. We're so lucky to have a kind boss like you.” Then she dashed upstairs.

Elowen was flabbergasted, “Leopold, aren't you being too kind to her? She's just a manager, not even a top executive. What has she done to deserve such special treatment?”

Chapter 45

Leopold's mood didn't brighten despite the flattery. He was in a foul mood.

“My decisions are not your concern.”

With a cold retort, he left his seat.

Aurelia entered the rest cabin, lying on the plush king-sized bed. It was incredibly comfortable. Who would have thought her first time on a plane would be on the boss's private jet, complete with a king-sized bed?

She patted her belly, thanking her unborn babies for this blessing.

She put on headphone, closed her eyes to rest. She was completely oblivious to the figure that silently approached

Before long, she felt drowsy, took off her headphone, and was about to sleep when her eyes met the man standing by her bed.

She nearly jumped off the bed in surprise, “Ah, Mr. Leopold, what are you doing here?”

Leopold towered over her, his gaze icy and intimidating.

Her heart skipped a beat. Was he here to settle scores because she had interrupted something? “Look, Mr. Leopold, I didn’t mean to interrupt you and Ms. Elowen. And technically, what you were doing can be considered cheating, so if you're here to call me out on that, it's a bit unfair.” Leopold was taken aback, feeling as if his vents were blocked. His pent-up anger had nowhere to go, leaving him internally fuming.
