The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 24

"Hannah."

"Did I get it wrong, huh? You were just a kid in your teens back then. You got hurt for him, laid in bed for months, and what did he do? He didn't give a damn!"

In that kidnapping incident, Brittany got hurt and stayed in the hospital for months. Finn didn't even bother to visit her once!

By the time she was discharged, she found out Finn and Patrina were all chummy.

Brittany mused, "Alright, let's not bring up the past."

She had willingly gone to save Finn back then. Bringing it up now was pointless.

Hannah pouted, "Are you hungry? Want to eat something?"

"Whatever."

Brittany didn't have an appetite. She called William, telling him to rest well and that they would meet tomorrow.

After hanging up the call, Hannah had already ordered some food. "Since we've booked a suite, why don't we stay here for the night, huh?" Brittany sighed, "Sure."

Hospital, VIP ward

William, lying on the bed, was dealing with work. His usually gentle eyes were slightly cold.

Sydney, sitting beside his bed, was peeling an apple. The poor apple was riddled with holes from her peeling.

She handed the peeled apple to William and said, "Have an apple."

William was aware of Sydney's feelings for him. He had turned her down several times and had no intention of accepting her now.

"Thanks."

He replied gently, not taking the apple.

Sydney bit her lip and said, "Are you waiting for Brittany?"

William looked at her and said, "Bri called me. She said she wouldn't come tonight."

"Of course she wouldn't." Sydney retorted unhappily, "Brittany is married now."

William was taken aback. "What?"

Seeing his shock, Sydney gritted her teeth and said, "Brittany is married. There's no chance for you two now."

William shook his head and said, "Impossible. She just broke up with Finn. How could she get married so quickly?" Sydney was also puzzled at how Brittany could marry Isaac on such short notice. But this was the reality.

"You don't have to believe me. You can ask Brittany yourself."

Sydney put down the apple and said, "Brittany is married now. Can you try to accept my feelings for you?"

William was still in shock. If Brittany was indeed married, then he had no chance at all.

Sydney grasped his hand without hesitation, her eyes filled with hope. "I really like you. Can you give me a chance?" "William, are you asleep?"

Tracy Dillion pushed the door open, seeing this scene. She paused, then reacted, "William, is this the girl you like?" Sydney released his hand and stood up, saying, "Hello."

Tracy Dillion looked at Sydney with a smile, but William spoke coldly: "Mom, this is my colleague, Sydney."

"Sydney, it's late. You should go home."

Sydney bit her lip. Now that William knew about Brittany's marriage, he wouldn't be as attentive to her as before. She had many chances to win William's heart. She picked up her bag and said, "I'll take my leave."

After Sydney left, Tracy Dillion sat by the bed, seeing the untouched assessment form on the bedside table.

"William, do you like this girl?"

At noon, she came to deliver food. William was having soup. The soup tasted good, indicating that the girl must have been a good cook.

William was in a gloomy mood. "Mom, I need some quiet."

Thinking that her son had been rejected, Tracy Dillion wanted to console him, but she couldn't find the right words.

The next morning, Brittany was here again.

Tracy Dillion was still there.

"Hello, I'm Brittany." Brittany came with the same thermos, her face full of smiles.

William was already awake, as gentle as usual.

Tracy Dillion stood up and said, "Come in and sit."

"This is the soup I made for you. Remember to drink it later."

Brittany had stayed in a hotel with Hannah last night and returned home early in the morning to make the soup.

Yesterday's thermos had been cleaned and placed aside.
