The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 1051

Seraphina Donahue's sobs broke the silence, a harsh slap from a spoiled rich kid still stinging on her cheek as he called her worthless.

Elijah Ulbricht stepped out of the bar, got into his car, and dialed Amber Granger: "The networking's done. Heading home now. See you later." His car sped off into the night.

In Craneville, the nightlife buzzed.

Octavia Donahue, in a light summer dress, pushed open the VIP lounge door.

Her father had been revived, but remained unconscious.

The Donahue family business had been taken over, and after settling their debts, Octavia was left with barely enough to cover a week's worth of hospital bills. Out of options, she looked for quick ways to make money.

All the while, a hidden camera recorded everything.

...

The Donahue family's downfall was the talk of Craneville, putting everyone on edge.

Brittany Lynette kept a close eye on the news.

Learning that Seraphina once had eyes for Isaac Salter, she couldn't help feeling bitter.

He sure had charm, changing his look and catching the eye of a society belle at a dinner party!

Always the ladies' man!

She went about her usual business, her interactions with Isaac almost nonexistent.

Meanwhile, Daniel was a bundle of worry, always wanting to stick by her side, desperate to find out who her boyfriend was.

Brittany couldn't help but smile, unable to reveal her relationship with Isaac, opting to keep it a secret.

The Lynette Conglomerate was thriving, Brittany landing several major deals.

Initially, Knox Lynette had his doubts about Brittany, thinking a woman couldn't match up to a man.

But her performance over the past few months had changed his mind.

At the Lynette family gathering, Knox made a rare appearance.

"Grandpa."

Brittany and Knox didn't spend much time together, with the old man living in a country mansion, rarely stepping foot in the Lynette Mansion.

His unexpected presence at the dinner took everyone by surprise.

Yuri Lynette thought he was there to cause trouble, instinctively stepping in front of Brittany: "Dad, what brings you here?"

Knox shot Yuri a look and beckoned Brittany: "Come here."

Not sensing any hostility from him, Brittany approached and affectionately called him Grandpa.

Knox's tone softened: "I've seen everything you've done these past months, and you've done well."

He continued solemnly: "I've instructed my lawyer to transfer my shares to you. The shareholders I've trained will follow your lead. I'm confident in leaving the Lynette Conglomerate in your hands." Yuri was overjoyed: "Dad, have you really come around?"

Knox sighed: "I was biased before, thinking handing over the family business to Bri was improper. But this is a new era; who says a woman can't be as good as a man?"

Holding Brittany's hand, he said earnestly: "Bri, I was wrong before. I promise, I won't let you be wronged again."

Brittany appreciated his change of heart, even if it felt a bit late, and accepted his olive branch.

"Grandpa, don't worry. I'll work hard."

At dinner, Knox brought up marriage: "You're not getting any younger. When do you plan on getting married?"

Brittany paused mid-sip.

"Dad, let's not worry about that now," Yuri interjected, clearly amused, "Bri's already seeing someone. They're quite serious. Let's give it some time, then we can talk." Knox, having learned from Yuri's earlier mishaps, preferred not to meddle in his grandchildren's love lives.

"Just remember your status."

"Your future husband doesn't have to come from a prestigious family or be incredibly successful, but he must truly love you and be a good person."

Knox was actually quite fond of Isaac, barring his inability to settle in Craneville. If only...

He stayed out of his grandchildren's affairs, but made it clear: no fortune hunters or loafers would ever win his approval.
