Claire stopped in front of Dominick, blocking his path.

Meanwhile, at Paisley's house, she stepped out of the bathroom to find Serena already sound asleep.

Maria approached her with a warm cup of milk. "Thanks to Max Rena was so happy today."

Paisley nodded and sipped her milk. "I saw him earlier when I came back and thanked him already."

"I'm not planning on it for now."

Maria's bluntness caught Paisley off guard, causing her to choke on her milk. "Maria! You're starting to sound like Emery!" They both thought Paisley should have a man in her life.

Maria raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong with that? Emery's right you know. You can't live your whole life without a man by your side.

Look, Paisley said, shaking her head with a wry smile, "if the right person comes along, then sure. But for now, I'm just aking things as they come.

Maria sighed, feeling like her mother back in the days when she used to push her into marriage. But she also understood. that this wasn't something that could be forced.

"Well, for what it's worth," Maria said with a hint of regret, "I think you and Max from next door would make a great pair."

Paisley understood now. No wonder Maria had been taking

so many photos of her and speaking so highly of Max today- she had been thinking about this all along.

"Maria, don't say things like that. Max came here to find his sister Once he finds her, he'll go back to Montera. He's not staying in Harrowfell, and he definitely won't be coming with us to Brightmoor." Hearing Paisley say this, and seeing that she had no interest in finding a man, Maria decided to drop the subject.
