They say she was joyful as a child, full of light and energy. But after that day, after they found her, she was never the same.

Serena couldn’t be touched, else she would scream. Her nights were filled with never-ending nightmares. Most nights, she was afraid to sleep. The times she did, she screamed and cried and begged for mercy, all while her parents watched, helpless.

In an attempt to change her anti-social ways, they send her off to summer camp, along with her brother Noah. There she is introduced to Skyler, the boy who’s scent is so strong and appealing, the one boy she has made it her life goal to avoid.
