Chapter 115 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
Boyd
POV
"Let me out of here!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "HEY! Let me go!"
The guard that was standing on the other side of the door with the small barred window turned to look back at me with annoyance, but just went back to ignoring my fit for freedom after that. He never mutters a word, no matter how much a yell.
It's been the same for days. I've sat on the hard cold floor of this windowless room, with only a bucket in the corner and two meals of cold soupy mush brought to me twice a day. No one has said a fucking word to me since I woke up like this, and I'm going bat shit crazy. "My friends will come looking for me!" I slammed my fist on the door. "You have no idea who you are fucking with!" I slammed my hands against the flat surface is frustration. The guard didn't even flinch.
"There's no point," Sirius, my wolf, huffed. "They don't care."
"Then why did they take us?!"
"Maybe they wanted a pet." He looked around the room with me in distaste. "Not even a dog would be kept like this. Maybe you just were in the wrong place at the wrong time. There are hunters out there that capture our kind for all kinds of shady shit."
That's not why. Deep down, I know this has something to do with Chloe and all the shit going on with her. Why they would take me, I don't know. She's made it abundantly, painfully clear that I don't mean anything to her.
"Asshole!" I slammed my hands into the door one last time, shaking it and making the guard sigh in annoyance. He didn't turn. He just stared ahead, still ignoring me.
I paced to the wall and back, biting my nails, wondering how long I'd really been down here. My mind is on the brink of madness, and I have to recount the time I've spent here to keep it from breaking.
The guards seem to change three times a day. They will turn the lights off in the room during the last guard change, probably trying to get me to go to sleep. I can't ever sleep here. It's too quiet, and my anxiety levels are too high. I'm just getting crazier in the head the less sleep I get and the hungrier I am. The white mush I think is potato soup isn't appealing or filling. It's just keeping me alive.
Six days. I think it's been six days since I woke up in this room.
"Are you sure it's six days? They could be messing with your head," Sirius said.
"That's not helpful."
"No, but it's a possibility."
That would be so fucked up, but he's right. I have no real way of telling the time. Everything about this is fucked. I'm fucked. I just want to go back to my friends.
I heard a noise somewhere beyond the door. A new noise. It's not been enough time since they last pushed through the distasteful soup through the slot at the bottom of the door, so there shouldn't be a shift change yet. Plus, there was more than one set of footsteps this time. It sounded like three sets, and that was with the guard not moving.
"Alpha," the guard said, stepping aside and out of my line of sight.
Alpha?
I put my back to the wall, confused and anticipating a new face, but my jaw dropped, and so did my heart in my stomach when I saw who it was.
"Alpha Ford," I gaped.
Maybe this had nothing to do with Chloe at all. Maybe this was nothing but revenge.
Alpha Jasper Ford, my first Alpha and the man my true mate chose over me, was standing in the open doorway. His frame was larger than I remembered, but his eyes were the same. He was older than me by ten years, and I was always off his radar. That was until he found out his chosen Luna was using me and my friends in her sexual endeavors. Those eyes looked at me then like he was looking at me now. Like he was going to tear me to shreds.
His red hair hung in matted tendrils around his face. His naked torso was covered in dried blood. My stomach churned as I stood wondering whose blood it was. Did he catch Beau, Jamie and Alexi too?
Then, he stepped back, making air flow into the stale room again. I could almost breathe, but then the last person I ever thought I would see again stepped around him. Her hair was billowing around her small frame. Her smile was as haunting and lovely as ever. I once would do anything for that smile, but seeing it now made me sick.
"Boyd," she said my name so easily. Her Alpha mate was standing right behind her, covered in blood, looking ready to kill, and she just waltzed into that room and said my name without any of the fear and anxiety I felt. "L-l-luna Laura," I rasped. Sirius whimpered, the sight of our former mate hurts too much.
She chuckled, like seeing me in pain brought her pleasure. "Ah, my first mate. It has been too long. We have someone we would like for you to meet."
