proposed, “We have to stay together, no matter what. That is my condition. I don’t care if I sound insecure or possessive.
Considering that we don’t know if we are true mates and you are not yet marked by me, I think we should constantly strengthen
our bond. It doesn’t help that we are apart, especially since I am pregnant.”
“Let me repeat it, Kieran. We have to stay together,” Alexia reiterated.
She noticed how her husband stilled. She knew exactly what went on in his mind. When she thought he would disagree, he
nodded, saying, “You are more important to me than anything in the world – you and our child.”
“I can come with you to Taplean,” Alexia suggested.
A hiss left Kieran’s l*ps. He massaged his temples before responding, “Let us

Kieran was about to indulge on her peach when he returned his attention to her, saying, “You should also learn to resist such
magic, Alexia. There are male witches too.”

“I love you, Kieran,” Alexia said.
“I love you... with every single beat of my heart,” Kieran professed. “Remember that.”
“Hmmm,” Alexia said in response before her eyes closed.

Meanwhile, in Taplean, King Balthasar was walking back and forth inside his private office when his beta stormed in, panting. He
announced, “My King. King James’ men have taken over the Golden Eye Pack. They are holding Luna Beatrice as a hostage.
This marks the first territory being claimed.”
Shaking his head, Beta Ford admitted, “Many of our warriors are wondering about Alpha Kieran. Their esteem is affected, My

King. They are used to him leading the battle.”
King Balthasar let out a low growl. His hands balled into fists. He said, “Let’s gather in the meeting room. We must plan how to
regain the territory while protecting the other cities. I think it’s also high time that I join the front. That had always been part of my
plan, anyway.”

Once alone, Balthasar turned to the window and said, “Kieran, I hope you are safe and can return soon because the nation
