Chapter 77: Plans And Theories Part One!
Elijah Part One!
Breakfast done, Adonis had Kenzi go up to their room in search of her pants, he would meet her up there when he was done with Elijah. He was fine with her wandering pack grounds pantless, no one was stupid enough to try anything. Going to the mall that way was not going to happen. Adonis and Elijah were in one of the rooms. They could have waited for a doctor to draw his blood, but there was always a risk when handling the blood of The Devil. It wasn’t one either one of them was comfortable leaving in the hands of an amateur. Elijah, having handled his blood numerous times, knew the risks and knew the precautions that needed to be taken.
“Why do you need my blood?” Adonis asked,
“I might have found a way to increase our pack, it is a theory and I need to test it, but if it works it would be beneficial.” Elijah replied.
“What is it?” Adonis asked.
“Your blood when taken by force or unknowingly severs the connection between man and beast. We know what happens when the human side remains dominant. I am curious to see what would happen if the beast side won.” Elijah replied.
“And?”
“If the beast side wins and remains dominant, can the beast be tamed or pledged to a pack? If they can, we can increase our numbers, with any prisoner we get. It also poses the question of whether they keep their strength and heightened senses” Elijah replied. That was some theory his Gamma wanted to test. If this worked they wouldn’t need normal warriors from packs, they would have guards dogs. If this worked he wanted one, Kenzi would be protected twenty four seven and he wouldn’t have to worry about her safety. He would never remove Tyler from duty, but there would be times when he needed Tyler.
“You would have to stop killing them,” Adonis reminded him.
“Killing yes, torturing no” Elijah countered. Adonis stared at his Gamma for a minute.
“Do you have anyone to test this….theory on?” Adonis inquired.
“Last night Kennedy said I could use the prisoners in the dungeon” Elijah replied.
“Was he drunk when he told you that?” Adonis asked, fighting the smirk that was threatening him.
“No, he may not….have had all his faculties about him, but he was definitely not drunk.” Elijah was fighting the smile, he failed miserably at it, but he tried. Adonis narrowed his eyes on him.
“I also promised I wouldn’t leave bodies or make too much of a mess this time” Elijah said.
“Let me know what happens,” Adonis replied, not even trying to suppress his laughter. He heard about the mess Elijah made in one of the interrogation rooms when Kennedy asked him to garner information from one of their prisoners. Then again asking Elijah to do that after he was cooped up in a plane for a few hours might not have been the best idea. It did concern Adonis that Steve and Kennedy were being attacked by rogues. It happens, but the frequency in which they have been attacked was alarming. It sounded like they were being intentionally targeted. By whom he didn’t know, but he had every intention of finding out. Then making them pay for it.
