The Alpha Meeting

Chapter 2

When Demetri returned home the Monday morning, Saphera was already waiting with a fresh cup of coffee.

“What’s wrong? Looks like you haven’t slept at all?” Demetri noticed something was off with her. She looked tired, and he could see she hadn’t slept because the bed was not lain in.

“Nothing. I just couldn’t sleep. My mind didn’t want to shut down.”

He kissed her softly. “Do you have enough hard copies of your CV on you in person?”

“Yes, I have a few.”

“Great. After breakfast we’ll drop Zion of at the crèche, and then we’re going job hunting.”

Saphera was glad.

Demetri bathed and Saphera prepared breakfast.

After breakfast they dropped Zion off at the crèche.

Demetri had heard about a managerial job at one of the local hotels, and she had a few years’ experience. They handed her CV in for the owner to view. Their next stop was the gymnasium where a position was open for a personal trainer and class instructor—she really hoped for this job, as it was in her line of studies. Lastly, they drove to the fashion house which Saphera knew was Celix’s place, but she stayed quiet.

It would be awkward to get a job here, she thought to herself as they drove up to fancy Iron Gate. She accepted it may be her only way out of unemployment if she did fit the requirements—but this was a fashion house and she most definitely was not a model or a fashion expert.

As they walked up to the big wooden door, she could smell Celix’s scent. She immediately regretted the decision. Xander opened the door and was surprised to see her and Demetri.

“Good day, Saphera and Demetri,” he greeted them, and showed them in.

“Good day, we are here to see the owner please?” Saphera stated immediately.

Xander turned on his heel, but Celix was already on his way down the stairs, eyes the colour between gold and sapphire.

Celix and Demetri greeted each other, and Saphera was greeted with a kiss on the hand. They were ushered into a lounge room with couches and a coffee table.

Celix took a seat at the window and Saphera and Demetri sat opposite him.

“Hi Celix, as you know this is Demetri, my fiancé who I told you about at church.”

Celix nodded in acknowledgement, but Saphera could feel his testosterone levels climbing. “Hi Demetri, we met at the gas station that morning. I remember.”

“Yes, we did,” Demetri nodded in agreement.

Celix looked Saphera straight in the eye with his sapphire gaze. “So what brings you here to my company?” he asked with a low growl.

“I’m actually looking for a vacancy,” she said. “As you know, I’m unemployed at the moment and looking for a source of income. I heard there was an opening here as a PA, or a secretary?”

She handed him her CV.

Celix took it, scanned it through and placed it on the coffee table. “When can you begin?”

She was taken aback by the sudden change in his tone.

“Well do I qualify? You barely looked at my CV?” she asked him, looking him straight in the eye and feeling his heated gaze on her.

“Well, you look like a smart woman, you have quali-fications, you were top at your class in school and you worked as a manager previously. So being a PA and secretary will be a walk in the park—don’t you agree Demetri?”

Demetri immediately agreed. “Saphera take the job, trust me. It will do you good to be working again.”

“Yes, take the job and if you don’t fit in or cope, you are free to leave as you like.”

Saphera looked at Celix, and took a breath. “Thank you, I will be able to start tomorrow,” she said, and saw his eyes darkening with ideas.

I really don’t hope I regret this decision later, Saphera thought to herself.

“Great, that’s settled then,” Celix said. “Leon, cancel all the other interviews. We found her.” He turned to Saphera and Demetri. “I want you and your family to join us for a braai on Friday, if it’s convenient. Then we can celebrate the job and also you moving to Sunny Beach.”

“Sounds good to me,” Demetri said. He was a man who loved a good braai and a few beers.

***

When they got in the car to leave, Saphera could feel the Alpha’s eyes on her, and smell his scent and testos-terone. She and Demetri talked about the luck she’d had with finding a job. She was happy inside because now she had her own income—but she would have to work with Celix.

He better not step out of line, Saphera thought. I’m also an Alpha, and he should really start to realise that.

They picked up little Zion from the crèche and went home. They were all a bit tired. She made a fast dinner—just basics, chips with veg and some sausage. After Dinner Zion fell asleep quickly. He was tired from the crèche. Demetri was exhausted as he had not slept, but luckily, he was working day shift from the next day. And yes—Saphera would also be working, she realised. She would call her folks tomorrow and tell them. She went to sleep that night feeling a bit uneasy. Demetri sensed this, and pulled her into his arms.

The next morning everything was in place. Zion was no trouble at all getting ready for crèche. Demetri was

doing an extra dayshift in hope he would be off duty for night shift. Saphera was putting on a black dress with stockings and heels—she figured working at an interna-tional fashion house she should at least try to look the part.

Demetri was dumbfounded when she came out the bedroom, dressed.

“Dammit you look delicious Saphera, maybe I should drop you off just to make sure they don’t make a move on you?”

“Haha, don’t be silly my love. I’m dropping Zion off and then going to work. I’ll be done by five.”

Just then Demetri’s colleague honked outside, rushing him. They had a huge job ahead of them. Demetri left with a last glance at his fiancé.

Saphera packed all the bags and everything into the car, and was on her way. She dropped Zion off. He already loved his school so much she did not have a problem with him at all. Then she was en route to work, feeling a bit anxious, but also excited about finally having a job.

***

Entering the iron gates, she could almost taste the high estrogen levels of other wolf females—but they were not Alphas or of royal blood. They were Betas and half-bloods, meaning half supernatural being and half human. They were much more common.

Saphera entered the hallway and immediately felt Celix’s presence. He was watching from the bay window, his eyes almost blinding with their sapphire shade. She was aware of everyone staring at her—even Celix’s friends stopped what they were doing as she entered. She made no point in acknowledging them as she walked right up to Celix. His scent was so spicy yet so alluring.

“Morning Celix. Where’s my office and what’s my first duty?” She looked him straight in the eyes, forcing his eyes to level with her.

“Josh, please show Saphera her office on the second floor in the west wing,” Celix said.

“Okay, Celix. Come Saphera—by the way, you look stunning.”

“Thanks Josh.”

Saphera followed Josh upstairs.

Celix was fuming on the inside. How dare that woman come here dressed like that? he thought. But then again, all the females here dress like that—but bloody hell, her body and her legs… they go on for miles.

“Are you okay, Celix?” Leon asked, seeing Celix was frozen.

“That Alpha she is… she is…. Ugh, I can’t even think of

a word to say,” Celix said, feeling frustrated with himself. “She’s a goddess. That’s the perfect word.”

“She is beautiful, Celix,” Leon said. “But she’s also taken. You know that. And she loves her mortal mate.”

“Don’t remind me!” Celix growled, and stalked off. “What’s his problem?” Zander asked Leon as he

joined him by his side.

“Celix is, I think, falling in love with the Alpha Female.” “Can it be that Celix is imprinting?”

“I don’t know… but she definitely changed something in him since her arrival here.”

“This place is so beautiful!” Saphera exclaimed as she and Josh entered her new office. “So modern yet stylish.” “Yes, Celix loves the modern style. It’s elegant, he

always says.”

“Well, it really does the trick. It’s big, too.” Saphera scanned through everything.

“Okay, if you’re settled, I’ll send up one of the girls with coffee and some rusks?” he said.

“That will be lovely. But tell me something—the girls here, they’re all part wolf, right?”

“Yes, all of them are. Celix created this place to be a safe haven for them, as well as a source of income, without unnecessary stares and questions on how to do certain tasks.”

“Makes sense. And they are all here to model and work?”

“Some of them model, some do house duties.” “Okay… then why is the estrogen levels so high?

Probably because of Celix, I assume?”

Josh just laughed. “Yes, all the girls here wish they could have a chance with him—like, to bed him—but he has no interest in any of them at all.”

“Shame, poor girls. Well anyway, let me get to work.” “Enjoy. See you later for lunch in the canteen?” “Okay, no problem.”

Saphera began working through basics first, checking the procedures on how to organise a fashion shoot. She found all the names and contacts in the manual, which had been put together for her by the twins. The manual contained all the information she needed to be productive in her new job. Next thing she knew Celix was in her office, standing opposite her desk.

“It is lunchtime Saphera,” Celix said as if he were cross with her.

“I lost track of time. You’re so far behind with this stuff it will take me weeks to get up to date.” Saphera exclaimed, ignoring his Alpha tone.

“You can finish that after you’ve had lunch.” He said this with a low growl; Saphera immediately reacted with a growl herself.

“I will eat when I am hungry and not when I am told to eat.”

She stood at eye level with him, glaring into his golden eyes.

Ahhhh, so I’ve pissed him off. Good! she thought. And she walked around her desk and out her office, leaving him there fuming.

***

Saphera entered the canteen, and dozens of eyes stared at her. She ignored them all and went to the counter where the boys were gathered. They all acknowledged her, Josh gave her a turkey sandwich and poured her a fresh glass of lemon juice.

Celix entered the canteen looking a bit irritated. Josh looked at Saphera and then at Celix.

“I’m not eating. I will be in my study for the rest of the day, do not bother me,” Celix stated with a clear growl that set the whole room on edge—except Saphera.

“That wasn’t cool. What’s his problem?” Saphera asked.

“Well, we don’t know,” Zane said. “Someone probably pissed him off.”

“It might have been me,” Saphera said. “He tried to order me down here to eat, and I don’t do well with commands of any sort. So I put him in his place and made it clear I’m also an Alpha I will not be subdued in any way.”

Josh and the twins both laughed. “He’s not used to being denied, or being put in his place by a female.”

“Well, he better get used to it. I am not a beta nor a halfblood and it will do him good to remember that.”

Saphera took her sandwich and went back to her office.

“Those two, if they get the chance, will probably have a full-on Alpha fight,” Zane said.

“Yes,” Zander said. “And I bet Saphera will win. That woman does not have a hint of fear in her, nor a submissive side. Celix will lose that battle completely.”

At 5pm Saphera locked her office door and was on her way down the stairs, when one of the models approached her with a hint of jealousy in her scent.

“Listen I don’t know who you think you are, darling… but Celix is mine. Got it?” She finished off the snarl.

“Listen girl,” Saphera said, “he’s all yours. But just so you understand—I am not a pushover girl, okay? So don’t have that tongue with me,” Saphera snarled in an Alpha growl.

The girl immediately backed off. “You’re an Alpha?” “Yes, I am. So show some respect, half-blood.” Saphera turned on her heel and stalked down the stairs,

not greeting the other girls.

She got into her car. That bloody bitch—who does she think she is? Half-bloods! She shook her head and drove on.

***

At home Saphera started on dinner. She decided on steak, chips and salad. Zion was playing all over the living room floor. He’d had a good day—Saphera could tell, first by his relaxed demeanour and second by being a wolf. She could pick up on hormones, and make out auras. Zion was a peaceful little boy.

Demetri came home just in time as dinner was done. “How was your first day?” he asked her. “And might I

just add, you looked absolutely beautiful this morning.” “Work was okay… I just have a lot to catch up on, and

the girls there are okay. A bit bitchy… but hey, they are models,” Saphera laughed.

Zion walked over to Demetri to be picked up and cuddled. They really do have a strong bond, Saphera thought.

After dinner Demetri bathed Zion whilst Saphera was quickly rand through the house doing some spot cleaning. Demetri put Zion to bed, then he filled the bath and got a bottle of wine and two glasses. “To celebrate your job!” he exclaimed when Saphera looked at him, puzzled.

“Sounds nice.”

She slid off her dress and Demetri undressed the rest, feeling her up and down as he took off her underwear.

“Gosh, you are beautiful Saphera. And I am so lucky.” He kissed her neck and caressed her cheek.

“Thank you, Demetri.” She turned and gave him a full kiss with her tongue—she wanted him now.

As if on cue, Demetri could sense what she wanted. He lifted her up with one movement and place her on the cabinet next to the sink.

“Demetri, I want you now.”

“I know you do. Let me pleasure you.” He sank his head between her legs and started licking her clitoris.

She responded by grabbing his hair in her hand. “Dammit you are so delicious,” he said as he flicked

his tongue in and out. He started to tease her clitoris with his tongue. She moaned. He noticed her body engaging in the movements. He lifted his head, stood and kissed her full on her mouth with her essence on his tongue. She kissed him back fiercely, grabbing his back with her hands and pulling him in. Her legs parted and he sensed it—she was at just the right height. He slipped into her slowly, feeling the already wet warmth of her.

“Gosh, Demetri.”

Saphera loved how he made her feel when he was making love with her. She was feeling extra aroused tonight, she noticed—but she couldn’t place it. Demetri forced her attention back with a deep stroke so she could feel his complete length in her. He was building rhythm, and she was also building up inside.

“Saphera, I love you,” he said as he kissed her neck and caressed her breast in his free hand.

“I love you too,” she said.

He gained speed. He pulled her off the counter made her stand with her legs apart, facing the wall. He plunged into her with force—but luckily her body was stronger than a normal woman’s. She could take the punch. As he rode her, his one hand stroked her clitoris and the other held her by the shoulder, keeping her in place. This was his favourite position, she knew—but she liked it too, because it was much deeper. He quickened his rhythm and she could no longer hold in her climax—he was teasing her clitoris so much, and he was so hard— she released and tensed. He felt it and he slammed into her, stroke after stroke as he climaxed. She could feel his liquid leaking into her and dripping down her leg. The bathroom smelled of sex. She straightened up and turned around only to be greeted by a full mouth and tongue kiss. She loved this about him—the way he showed he loved her.

They both got into the still hot bath and enjoyed a glass of white wine. She sat between his legs whilst he caressed her breasts. He kissed her softly along her neck and whispered the sweetest words. She kissed his hand and cuddled up closer to him. They sat there for a while, laughing and chatting.

After the bath Demetri rubbed her skin with lavender-scented oil, her favourite, and braided her hair. They both decided to sleep naked that night as it was hot outside and very humid. Zion was fast asleep. Saphera checked before she got into bed herself, sliding in next to Demetri. They fell asleep fast. When the alarms went off the next morning, Saphera got up and prepared a nice batch of roast coffee. Demetri got dressed and was busy packing Zion’s bag. Saphera decided on a white knee-length skirt with a formal pink blouse and black heels, her hair loose and straightened. By the time she was done, Zion was ready. They had a quick breakfast before Demetri’s friend arrived. Demetri went to work and Saphera got all the bags in the car with Zion. She’d forgotten to phone her parents the day before, but she would do it from office today.

She dropped Zion off and went to work.

Entering her office, Saphera immediately got to work. At around 10am she ordered coffee and a rusk from the house staff and phoned her parents.

“Hi, Mom.”

“My darling, how are you?” “I’m good, mom. I found a job.”

“Wow honey, I’m so glad. What job is it?”

“I am a PA and Secretary at a fashion house. They’re international. I’m doing all the bookings, orders and office duties.”

“Wow honey, that’s great. Sounds like a nice job. How’s the pay?”

“The pay is good mom, I can at least survive,” Saphera laughed.

“I’m glad honey. How are Zion and Demetri?” “They’re doing great. Zion loves his new school and

Demetri is loving his job, so all is good.”

“Well, that’s good news honey. I have to go now, the doctor just got here. Talk to you soon. Send my love and hugs for Zion.”

“Okay mom. Send my love to the family, bye.”

Just as the call ended, Zane came through her office door with her coffee and rusk.

“Are you the new maid today?” Saphera asked. “Funny. No, the lady was busy with linen and asked if I

could bring up your order.”

“Oh okay, well thanks Zane I really appreciate.”

“No problem, see you at lunch. And please don’t anger Celix again,” he said with a laugh.

“I’ll try not to.”

He closed her office door and left.

The day went by quickly. Saphera had a quick lunch of fruit salad and went straight back to work. She was determined to get up to date with all the appointments before the weekend. She still had to think about the Braai Friday which was in two days’ time. Demetri did look okay with the proposal, but she smelled his testosterone levels spike. He was really protective over her—in some way a bit obsessed—but he meant well, she knew. At the end of the day, she said goodbye to everyone and left, trying to avoid Celix.

She fetched Zion herself—Demetri had phoned earlier to ask her to pick him up at 6pm, as he had to work a bit later. She got home and Christine greeted her with a glass of wine. The three boys immediately went to the backyard and played. Christine and Saphera shared their days. Jacob was still at work, he also had to work late. Saphera really loved Christine. After the wine, Saphera went to fetch Demetri at 6pm like he asked. Zion stayed and played with the boys at Christine’s.

Demetri looked agitated when Saphera pulled up to the gate.

What’s wrong? she wondered.

“Evening love,” she greeted.

“Hey Saphera.” He kissed her quickly on her cheek.

“May I ask what’s wrong?” she asked.

“Just problems with the boss and my colleague, nothing of importance,” he replied. “What is for dinner? And where is Zion?”

“He’s playing next door. I haven’t started on dinner yet, I figured maybe getting take out or something?”

“Pizza then?”

“Sounds like a plan,” she replied.

They picked up some pizzas and went home. Saphera fetched Zion from next door and they went

to have dinner. Demetri took a shower and went straight to bed. Saphera sensed he was angry and she let him be—she bathed Zion and put him to bed. Afterwards she did the dishes and took a long bath herself with a glass of red wine.

Saphera started touching herself. She was horny, she admitted to herself—and Demetri was not going to please her tonight. She felt her nipples harden as she stroked her clitoris. She closed her eyes to enjoy all the sensations as only an Alpha can. She started to stroke faster and harder, and let two fingers slip in. She was moist and warm. She started with deep and slow strokes of her two fingers, but soon added a third. Her back arched.

Suddenly she picked up on a scent, she knew—Celix. Her eyes flew open with shock, but she was alone in

the bathroom.

Strange, she thought to herself, but she did not let that steer her off course.

She continued pleasing herself until she exploded within.

That felt so good.

“It would be better if I did it.” She heard his voice. Celix is in my mind now!

He laughed, and it almost sounded like he was there with her in the tub.

Is this what imprinting is? Saphera wondered. How could she make it stop? This is really getting weirder now.

She got out the tub and put on a pair of panties.

Tonight she was feeling extra hot.

Celix is really messing with my mind.

She climbed into bed, curled into Demetri’s waiting arms and drifted away.
