Chapter 6
Alexander's POV
I didn't notice how long I'd been standing here by the window. Looking at nowhere. I've already finished all the paper works and I was just waiting for the meeting to start.
It's getting dark outside. The sun is about to set and let the moon take its time to rule the night.
I can now see one of the Alpha's cars is arriving. Maybe I should get back to my room and take a shower again. I've already got my bath earlier before talking to Paul here at my office.
I just felt I needed it again for my body always feels hot. I must cool down this fiery inside of me.
Leaving my office, I head back to my room. Taking off my clothes and walked straight to the shower. Standing under the shower, the cold water poured down on my body. It helps to lessen and sedate the fire forming inside of me.
Now that I feel freshened up, I turned off the shower. Stepping out, I walked in front of the mirror at the sink. Staring at my reflection, water dripping down my hair.
"When was the last time you shaved?" asked my wolf.
He was right. There are already stubbles growing. These past few days had been stressful and exhausting and I didn't have the time to take a look at my appearance. Especially now, there's an important meeting I need to lead. Besides I'm not bothered by these growing little hairs on my face for this is a sign of a grown and matured man.
Not that I'm indicating it of being already an old man. I'm just 28 years of age and the youngest Alpha King in history. For my father can't already wait for me to turn 32 before passing down the throne to me.
So, at the age of 25, I've been the Alpha King.
It's really hard to be the Alpha King. As the saying goes "With great power comes with great responsibility."
It's all up to me. I need to be in control of everything and lead them and mostly I need to end this fucking rogues once and for all.
To let them know where they stand in this kingdom and I'll smack it right under their noses!
"I can't wait for that moment to brutally savage those rogues until they beg them to us to just end their worthless lives!" snarled my wolf. His surfacing, I can see him through my reflection in the mirror looking through my eyes.
"Just wait for that right moment."
I need to get dressed now for I can sense the Alphas are already arrived.
Getting into my wardrobe, I pick out dark jeans and a black long sleeve.
Now that I'm fully dressed and ready, time to have this meeting get started.
>>>>>••••○••••<<<<<
Arriving at the front door of the conference room, the guards bowed down. Paul is already present outside waiting for me.
Acknowledging my presence "Alpha King, the Alphas are all inside now except for Alpha Hades of the Dark Shadow Moon Pack and Alpha Jackson of the Black Dawn Moon Pack. They had just informed me that they can't make it to this meeting because they have an important business they need to attend to. They're sending their deepest apology, Alpha King Alexander."
"What? They had chosen to be at their goddamn business they are referring to instead of being present here right now!" My temper is going thinner and thinner with the seconds that pass by.
"They do know not to mess up with me! Informed them to report immediately after they settled that fucking business they speak of!"
The meeting hasn't started yet but I'm already pissed off.
Way to go to ruin my mood.
Putting on a stern face, I entered the conference room. Upon entering inside they all quieted down and stand up bowing at me.
Tension is in the air. I can feel their wolf's uneasiness.
"You may now all be seated" making my way to my chair at the center.
The walls here are all painted in white. The wooden table is in the shape of a U and across it is a podium where it can be used for speaking on planning and presenting something if needed. The room is beaming with lights so everybody inside can be seen clearly. There are also surveillance cameras in every corner.
Sitting down, I looked at them straight in the eyes.
"As you all know two of our packs had been attacked by rogues and they have captured some of the unmated shewolfs."
"That is why my Alpha King Alexander we need to act now and take down the rogues!" Alpha Ace's voice interrupted.
I glared at him for interfering to speak suddenly.
Without warning, I slammed him on the hard wall, grabbing him by the neck.
"Don't you think I already don't plan to do just that? And don't you dare be ahead of me on what we have to do!" roaring at him making my wolf emerge angrily glowering at him.
"I just want to save and rescue the unmated shewolfs as soon as possible for my daughter is one of them," he said in between choking.
I strangle him even more. My outburst of anger is increasing.
"You can't even protect your own daughter! You are worthless and weak Alpha!" I spat at him right in front of the other Alphas.
His eyes went wide at what I'd said. I had just humiliated him and crashed down his dignity of being an Alpha.
"You shouldn't be an Alpha and you already know it in the first place! You can't even be called an Alpha of your pack!"
I can feel his fears and hatred sipping in every part of his body.
On the spur of the moment, Paul came to my side telling me to stop before I could kill this pathetic Alpha! But before I let him go, I leaned to him closer and hiss at him in a low voice that only he can hear.
"I know your greatest fear and you should be thankful that you still have that position! Cherish it for now, for I will surely tear that title from you!"
Letting him go, he falls to the floor catching his breath. Bruises are already forming under his neck.
That should teach him a lesson to fear me! I know what this useless and greedy Alpha could do. I know what happens to his family and his pack. As of now, I'm just waiting for the right time to replace him of being the Alpha of the Silver River Moon Pack.
Going back to my chair, the horrible look on the faces of the other Alphas tells me they are fidgeting in their seats. Their wolfs submitting to me.
"I will not let this kind of tolerance. If you all think you can just talk to me like that and treat me some kind of a kid that you can do what you say. I may be younger than you but don't you ever forget that I am you ALPHA KING!" Fury radiating off of me. Making them feel the power I behold.
"Don't underestimate me!"
Alpha Ace came stumbling back to his feet. Still collecting himself from the humiliation. Bowing at me and lowering his eyes apologizing for his misbehavior towards me.
But something in his eyes tells me he's not regretful enough for his actions. There's a glimpse of mockery in his voice making an apology to me.
I will let him this time, for now. But when I get back to him I will make sure he would beg for my mercy.
Focusing now my attention on the meeting. I raised my voice for them to be serious.
"I want you all to be secure and alert at all times. Tighten your securities around the perimeters in every pack. For now, no one should be let outside within your pack grounds. Don't let them go into the woods without my permission until I said so."
They all agreed with what I've said. Securing the packs' safety is the number one priority for now.
"Paul, gather all our best warriors."
"Yes, Alpha King" responded Paul.
"Alpha King Alexander, if you may allow. I want to extend my support in eliminating those rogues. The wolf fighters at my pack would join the force of your wolf warriors."
Suggest Alpha Lorenzo of the Black Alder Moon Pack.
"I would like to do the same, Alpha King" offered the other Alphas.
"There's no need to send your warriors. I appreciate all your need to help and aid our kingdom to take down the rogues but I just want you all to protect and guard your packs. Your warriors are mostly needed in your packs. Let me take care of this one. I can handle this."
Assuring them to trust their Alpha King.
"Rest assured that my wolf warriors will save all the unmated shewolfs. Just do what I say and there would be no problem. Understand."
"Yes Alpha King" they all answered.
"Good. Ok, then this meeting is over."
They all stand up and bowed down before leaving the conference room.
When they all left the room, Paul sat beside me. Getting deep breaths before he finally speaks.
"Alex," he said addressing me by my nickname that he always calls me when we are alone. Complaining that my name is too long to say so he calls me by my short name.
"I know I shouldn't be intruding on you about your actions but I just felt the need to advise you as your friend" casting down his eyes as he gives respect to me.
"You shouldn't do that to Alpha Ace. He's just on edge right now and besides we both know he's not worth it on wasting your time on him."
"I know that, Paul. I don't regret what I did to him. It's the right thing to do, to shut that useless Alpha."
In my mind, my wolf agreed with what I'd said. He had a mocking smile, visioning his face in my mind.
"You really never changed, Alex. If there's something change about you that is you became more sensitive and aggressive" Paul said shaking his head.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" raising my eyebrows at his opinion of my behavior.
"Both." He said and we both chuckled.
I'm a bit surprised as to why my wolf is not bothered at Paul for interfering with what we did earlier. But I'm glad that Paul had stopped me or else I would have done something worst.
"Seriously, though something must be done now to the rogues" turning to him, not joking anymore.
"I want you to lead the wolf warriors in search of where the rogues are hiding. Hunt and track all possible things you can find or indications that will lead to them."
As I stand up, Paul replied with a determination in his face.
"Copy that, Alpha King."
"Tomorrow morning I will go check and examine the map of the kingdom."
Not waiting for him to respond, I walked my way out of the room leaving him behind.
It's getting late. For now, I need to rest my exhausted mind.
I head straight to my room. Closing the door, took off my clothes dropping them to the floor. I marched to my bed which was already waiting for me.
Laying down, I closed my eyes worn out and exhausted. I let myself drift off to sleep.
