Chapter 312 Sarah's Kindergarten
The first class hadn't begun yet in D University, but a lot of students had been walking around the campus. The seventy year old anniversary of the university was coming in March, so the campus had prepared it in advance. The students reunion had called up "troops". It was expected to make a splash for the celebration month. "Mom, is this my school? Why aren't there any children? " Lying in Spencer's arms, Sarah looked at the college students coming and going, and felt a little scared.
"It's not Sarah's school. It's mom's school." "Long time no see." Fiona said The snack bar across the school had been changed. The original open-air stands by the side of the road had also been put up with tents. There were a lot of new comers in the school, who came and went younger and more vigorous
"You don't have to come here. I don't like this school anyway." Spencer snorted
Fiona was about to blame him, Sophia said first, "Mr. Spencer, what's wrong with our school? Are you not satisfied with your job as a drillmaster, or because of the relationship between Ryan and Fiona?" "None of them!" Raising his chin, Spencer took the lead in walking forward.
Sophia dragged Fiona to follow him. On a whim, she said, "Mr. Spencer, how about joining us as the new drillmaster this summer?"
"Do I have nothing to do? I don't want to work as your instructor anymore." However, his mouth was covered by Sarah's hands before he finished his words. "Dad, watch your tongue!"
"Haha! You deserve to be disliked by Sarah!" Shaking her head proudly, Sophia took two steps forward and suddenly pointed ahead, shouting excitedly, "Here we are! Here's Sarah's kindergarten." Sarah was so excited that she stretched out her arms to ask for Sophia's help. Sophia took Sarah in her hands happily and they ran towards.
Then, Spencer naturally held Fiona's hand and said proudly, "My wife is not a new comer. She doesn't need the military training. I don't want to be a drillmaster for a group of irrelevant people." With a gentle smile, Fiona teased, "So, did you choose to come to D University because of me?"
"Of course." After so many years, Spencer finally admitted that he was very happy. "I remember that on the summer vacation when you graduated from high school, I was working continuously for a month. I haven't seen you... I heard that you are going to have a military training, so I brought Eric here. Gee...you asked me if my grandpa asked me to come, and I felt lucky."
"For what?" Fiona turned to ask.
"Fortunately... You didn't notice that I like you!" Suddenly, Spencer's face turned a little red.
Fiona was stunned, "So you liked me back then?"
"I didn't know at that time. But now when I think about it, I think that kind of feeling should be love!" Looking at the slightly raised corners of Spencer's mouth, Fiona couldn't help smiling. He then continued, "I know that you didn't like me at that time." "It sounds like you're a little annoyed." Fiona smiled.
"Can't I?" Spencer pinched her hand, showing that he was jealous.
"Sure, sure." To her surprise, Fiona even couldn't believe that he would be so jealous of what happened so many years ago and couldn't help feeling amused.
"Humph!" Disdain was written all over Spencer's face.
"By the way." After walking a few steps, Fiona suddenly said, "You just mentioned Eric. I don't know how he is now. Is he all right? Is he still in the gym? He hasn't been to M City for a long time." "Yes." Spencer nodded and said, "There are a lot of things in the base. He hasn't been free recently. During the Spring Festival, he just comes back home in a hurry and leaves after the dinner." "He's already the leader of the base, isn't he?"
"No, he's not."
"What?" Fiona was surprised. "Then who is he? Daniel?"
"Not really." Smiling and turning around, Spencer responded, "Me again."
"You?" Fiona opened her mouth and glared at him. Suddenly she snorted, "I don't believe it."
"It's true." Spencer explained patiently, "I am no longer the leader. Although the base is under the management of Eric, it is me who makes the decision. Anyway, the gym is up to me. I have devoted so much for so many years and it's really a piece of cake for me to let it go!"
Fiona understood and was shocked. In the past two years in the base, she had never seen anything like this before, but... Whatever.
"As long as you are not tired."
"I'm not tired, just for you and Sarah!"
As they were walking forward, Sophia held Sarah in her arms, leaning over the gate of the kindergarten, and seemed to get drunk. When they saw the children were led by the teacher to dance, they would be surprised and didn't know what to do. When they watched children play on the swing or on the slide, they would be amazed...
"It seems that Sarah likes here very much." Fiona said with a smile.
"Yes, I like it!" Hearing that, Sarah turned her head to her mother and asked, "Mom, can I go in and play?"
"I suppose so." Fiona looked at Sophia with questioning eyes. Sophia was also a little confused. Spencer sighed and carried Sarah in his arms. He said to Fiona, "Your husband is the only one who can help you with anything. Are you still counting on Sophia, the unreliable guy? Come with me!"
Sophia was intimidated by Spencer and forgot to retort. With half belief, she and Fiona followed him. After they took a turn, they saw Karl standing at the stairs leading to the second floor from the kindergarten. As soon as he saw Spencer, he immediately bowed and said, "Good morning, sir!"
"Yes." While walking, Spencer asked, "Where is the principal?"
"Coming!" Before Karl could answer, a middle-aged woman with glasses ran downstairs from the second floor. She gasped and said, "My name is Mary Li, the principal of the garden! Mr. Spencer, nice to meet you!"
"Hello, principal Mary." Spencer nodded and asked, "Everything is set up for our Sarah, right?"
"Yes, everything is ready." Miss. Mary put on a professional smile and said, "Would you like to come with us to the kindergarten and have a look?"
Then Spencer turned to look at Fiona, and the latter nodded, "Okay."
Then they walked into the garden unhurriedly. The moment she stepped inside, Fiona caught sight of a familiar figure. "Isn't she the nanny who takes care of Sarah?" she exclaimed in surprise
"Yes!" Mary turned back and said, "Mr. Spencer is very thoughtful. Sarah is younger than other children, so he invited the nanny here to help her."
"Well Is that okay?" Fiona asked with uncertainty.
"Mrs. Cheng, you don't have to worry about it. We have agreed to this." Mary smiled.
"Well, that's all right. Principal Mary, please take care of her."
"That's what we should do." Mary smiled.
"Daddy, I want to play that little Trojan." Sarah's eyes lit up.
Smiling, Spencer bent over and put Sarah on the ground and said, "Go ahead. Be careful and don't run around."
"Yes!" Sarah nodded and ran towards the house, followed by the babysitter.
They walked around in the kindergarten. Since Sophia had to go back to her office for something urgent, she left first. Fiona and Spencer also wanted to take Sarah for a walk. However, since Sarah was in high spirits, they decided to sit down and wait until she had fun and left. "Thank you for all the preparation." Fiona smiled to Spencer.
"Do we need to say thanks to each other? This is what I should do." He then cast a gentle glance at Fiona.
With a smile at the corners of her mouth, Fiona answered, "It's a little early to go to kindergarten at Sarah's age, but I thought that she was brought here because she grew up in Ruby's orphanage and she was not unfamiliar with such a place. Isn't it a little exaggerated to hire a nanny for her?"
"It's not a big deal. After all, the orphanage is different from a kindergarten." When he spoke of this, he turned to Sarah, who was looking back at him. The father and the daughter smiled at each other, and Sarah waved her hand and shouted, "Dad, this is going to be fun! Dad, come here quickly!"
With a smile, Spencer asked, "Fiona, are we going to see Sarah?"
"Okay." Then Fiona stood up and walked there with him. The nanny helped Sarah down the merry go round. When she saw a swing, she held Fiona's hand and asked, "Mom, are you going to play on it?"
"Me? I don't need it. Sarah, you can sit here! " Fiona shook her hand.
"No, Mommy, sit down and let daddy push you!" Sarah grabbed Spencer's hand and begged, "Dad, please!"
Looking at the instruction beside the swing, Spencer said, "It can bear the weight of 60 grams. Fiona, come on and have a try. Sarah invited you to have a try. You can't refuse her. "
Lowering her head, Fiona glanced at Sarah. Before she nodded her head, she was pushed on the swing by Spencer.
"Ah! Don't push me, Spencer!"
Then, on the swing, there came the exclamation of Fiona, "It's too high, too high!"
"Fiona, relax!" When the swing approached him, Spencer pushed Fiona and said, "Close your eyes. It's fun to play on it."
"Oh, Mommy flew away!" Sarah hopped around as if she was the one sitting on a swing.
Hearing what Spencer said, Fiona closed her eyes in a hurry. Feeling the sound of the wind whizzing past her ears, a fragrance of spring came to her face. Together with the large palm of Spencer behind his back, Fiona felt at ease. All of a sudden, she became less scared.
Looking at Fiona's disheveled hair, he felt his heart fluttering with her.
Other children in the kindergarten looked at Fiona enviously and wondered when they could fly so high!☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
