Chapter 682 Bear
However, Nadia really liked to take home the bear. What should she do?
Tears welled up in Nadia's eyes as she looked at her father.
At this moment, Charles' strategy was to tempt Nadia to make her speak so he said, "Tell me the truth, and I'll buy the bear for you."
Biting her lips to refrain herself from talking, Nadia turned to Bobby who was looking at her with a straight face.
"It's just a bear. If Daddy won't buy it for you, I'll buy it for you!" All of a sudden, Bobby took out a card from his pocket.
"Bobby! That card is for emergency, not for toys." In a hurry, Charles snatched the card away from his hand.
"Daddy, don't make things difficult for Nadia anymore. Do you really want to know what we came here for?" In the end, Bobby decided to tell the truth. "We came to Brandy to ask her to stay away from you. No we told her to never contact you again because you and Mommy argue because of her. That's it!" As soon as Bobby finished his words, he was almost breathless. But he still looked at Charles overbearingly. His aura was very similar to Charles' that no one could deny how they were related to each other.
"That's why you came to Brandy? You... Well, very well. Did your Mommy ask you to find Brandy? How many times do I have to tell you that Daddy only hired Brandy as a doctor in the hospital? Your Mommy is just imagining things, and so are you!" Out of anger, Charles unconsciously threw the bear on the floor.
This made Nadia burst into tears in an instant. She felt sorry for the bear as if it had feelings.
"Nadia, don't cry, okay? It's just a bear! Why are you so sad? Besides, there are still other bears in the shop. Am I right?" After saying that, Bobby looked at the shop assistant. "Yes... Or no..." The shop assistant got confused because she was busy looking at the angry Charles and then at the lovely Bobby. She didn't know whom to listen to.
Seeing Nadia's tear-stained face, Charles immediately felt guilty for throwing the bear. "Bring me three more bears."
Right after he paid for the bears, Charles looked at Nadia gently and said, "These three bears are all yours, Nadia. Don't cry anymore. Come with Daddy."
Without a word, Nadia caught up with him excitedly. She held the three bears in her arms, but couldn't hold them at all, so she staggered forward.
Shaking his head in disappointment, Bobby said, "Hey, Nadia, why are you dragging me down? If you won't tell the truth, do you really think Daddy wouldn't buy the bear for you? Don't you even have the confidence to defeat Brandy? Are you not important to Daddy? How could you think that way?" As they walked out, Bobby kept chattering.
"I just like the bear..." What Nadia said made Bobby angry that he stopped walking and held the bridge of his nose.
"Well, Nadia, I concede defeat. You're as stupid as a pig. I won't run away with you again. Every time I do, I always fail, because you don't stick to your position and often betray your teammate. You trapped me every time. I surrender!" "I'm not a pig..." Out of everything that he said, this was what caught Nadia's attention.
Therefore, even if Bobby was angry, he couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, you are not a pig, I am the pig, okay?"
The moment Charles opened the car door, he noticed that the kids had stopped walking, so he turned around and looked at them gloomily. "Why don't you get in the car as soon as possible?"
It seemed like no matter how much Charles scolded them, Nadia would still be in a good mood because she got the bears she wanted. She even forgot about the matter about Brandy.
Holding the bears in her arms, Nadia quickly got in the car.
When Bobby didn't move, Charles glared at him.
It felt as if Bobby was caught after doing something wrong and he couldn't deny it anymore.
Left without a choice, Bobby got in the car too.
Then Charles drove straight to the hospital to clarify things with Brandy.
The children were quiet until they arrived at the hospital and reached the floor where Brandy's office was located.
Coincidentally, Charles bumped into Nancy. At that moment, he thought that she had something to do with what the children had done.
Otherwise, how could the kids think of looking for Brandy? That was why he was angry when he saw her. He didn't even stop to talk to her and just went inside the office directly. Unbothered with his action, Nancy turned her attention to the kids who were walking towards her.
It was Nadia who walked to her first, with a satisfied smile on her face as she carried the bears in her arms.
On the contrary, Bobby had a gloomy face. He was still annoyed that Nadia betrayed him and Charles got mad at him because of that woman Brandy.
"Why are you two here?" It was still early, and the kids were supposed to be in the kindergarten, so Nancy frowned when she saw them. "Daddy asked us to come here," said Nadia.
"Oh, okay. Aren't you supposed to be in the kindergarten? Why are you here?" Her curious eyes turned to Bobby and then back at Nadia.
When she left, Charles took the kids to the kindergarten. Why did they suddenly appear in the hospital when they had a class?
"Mommy, we have been here earlier.." Nadia was not good at lying, not to mention that she was now immersed in the happiness of getting the bears, so she didn't hesitate to tell the truth. "Earlier? What did you do here?" Nancy was even more confused.
"We were looking for Brandy..."
Before Nadia could even finish her words, Bobby interrupted her angrily. "Nadia, you're such a big mouth. You keep on telling Mommy and Daddy what I don't want you to say. I won't take you with me wherever I go. You're a traitor."
The smile on Nadia's face slowly disappeared. She lowered her head and kept silent after Bobby scolded her.
It was also when a voice came from Brandy's office, which could probably answer Nancy's questions.
"Charles, I know I've put you in trouble, but I didn't mean to. How about this? In order to make Nancy and the children feel at ease, I'd better resign. Don't make things difficult for me and yourself. It's good for everyone that I leave."
After letting out a heavy sigh, Charles said, "Brandy, the kids are too young to understand. Don't be angry with them. I'll teach them a lesson for you later."
"I think this is all about the night I drank with you in the bar. It caused a lot of problems to Nancy and the kids. I'm sorry, but I won't feel at ease working here. Please let me leave. I appreciate your kindness, but I really don't want to disturb your lives. I really don't want to make everyone unhappy because of me. This is not my purpose for coming here. I only came here as a doctor who wants to treat my patients. You know that." Grievance could be seen in Brandy's eyes.
In fact, she really looked helpless and aggrieved, as if she was accused of something she didn't do.
"What did the kids tell you?" Charles asked.
"With a sigh, Brandy gently shook her head. "The kids are right. It's all our fault."
But Charles was not content with her answer so he stepped forward and grabbed her arms. "Tell me."
All of a sudden, the door opened and Nancy walked in together with the children. "Let the kids speak. I also want to know."
"Tell me, you two!" Crossing his arms on his chest, Charles stared indifferently at the two kids.
Frightened, Nadia kept her head low without saying a word.
As if he was running out of patience too, Bobby finally said, "We didn't say anything. We just told Auntie that you had a fight with Mommy. And last night, you and Mommy didn't sleep together because Mommy was angry that you drank with Auntie in the bar. Because of her, Mommy doesn't want Daddy anymore!"
