Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 673 Beating Is A Sign Of Affection

Nancy was so angry that her chest heaved. "Charles, you are so shameless."

"Really? You are right, I'm shameless. I haven't been married and I already have children! How about you, Nancy, you are my children's biological mother. I'm shameless, but are you innocent?" When Nancy looked into Charles' eyes, they were empty.

How could she see the pain Charles was trying to hide?

Their voices were so loud that the two children heard it from the dining room. "Bobby, Mommy is quarreling with Daddy."

"Yes." However, Bobby just kept a straight face while watching TV.

"I don't think beating and cursing are signs of affection. I'm so afraid because Mommy and Daddy quarrel all the time. What should we do?" It could be seen on Nadia's face how nervous she was. She was rubbing her hands together as she waited for Bobby's reply.

In the end, Bobby stretched himself and jumped off the sofa.

He swaggered to the kitchen and opened the kitchen door forcefully.

At this moment, Charles was still gripping Nancy's arm. He was glaring at her as if he was he was going to swallow her alive.

Soon, Nancy heard footsteps coming over, so she gave Charles a warning look. "The kids are coming..."

At the mention of the children, Charles' face softened in an instant. He let go of Nancy's arm and said, "Nancy, the kitchen is full of smoke. Go out with the children."

Rubbing her arm that was now red from Charles' grip, Nancy forced a smile before she looked back at the children. "Why are you here?"

"I heard Mommy and Daddy quarreling just now..." Nadia said timidly.

Shaking her head, Nancy quickly explained, "No, of course not. We are just exchanging experiences about cooking."

Every time she saw Nadia's anxious face, Nancy couldn't help but feel sorry for her. That was why she was trying her best not to let the children see her and Charles argue. "Really, Daddy?" It seemed like Bobby didn't believe Nancy's excuse at all.

"Yes, of course. We are in the kitchen. What else can we talk about?" Since Charles didn't want the children to be affected by the weight of his and Nancy's relationship, he had no choice but to cooperate with her.

"Oh, I see. I must have misheard it." In front of their parents, Nadia breathed a sigh of relief even though she didn't really believe what they said.

"Let's go, kids. Wash your hands and get ready for dinner." Then Nancy urged the kids to walk out of the kitchen.

It was Nancy who walked out first, and the two kids followed behind her. They looked at each other with amusement in their eyes. Both of them knew what was really going on; that was why it was interesting to watch their parents act.

An evil smile suddenly appeared on Bobby's face. "Nadia, are you happy to see Mommy and Daddy love each other so much?"

Understanding what he meant, Nadia echoed, "Of course, I'm happy now!"

For a moment, Nancy was speechless when she heard what the kids said. She stopped walking and turned to them. "Well, your happiness is Mommy's greatest happiness." "Mommy, we are family! We must love each other!" Charles' eyes darkened.

How could it be so difficult for Nancy to realize that family should always love and prioritize each other? Their children just wanted them to be happy and complete, but she seemed to make things complicated. There were so many thoughts that had been running on his head, but Charles shrugged it off and silently put the dishes on the table with the help of the children.

The whole villa was filled with the children's laughter as they joked from time to time. They were so lively while having dinner.

On the contrary, Nancy and Charles were both absentminded, and they even barely touched the food in front of them.

Because of this, Nadia picked up a piece of sausage and put it into Charles' bowl. "Daddy, eat some sausage. Mommy just bought it."

"Mommy, Daddy cooked this for us. It's nutritious. You should also eat it!" This time, Nadia picked up some cabbage and put it into Nancy's bowl.

"Oh, Daddy is a capable man!" Not wanting to disappoint Nadia, she praised Charles exaggeratedly.

When Bobby turned to Charles, he had no choice but to take a bite on the sausage. He chewed on it and nodded after.

"Well, the sausage tastes really good. Does it mean Mommy has a good taste?"

"That's right. Mommy and Daddy are excellent. You two can cook very well!" Excitement was written all over on Nadia's face.

After giving Charles a side-look, Nancy insinuated, "But I don't think so. Well, I have a good taste about things, but I don't have a good taste when it comes to people."

As soon as she finished her words, Charles retorted, "Really? I am also... I also don't have a good taste about people..."

Before the two of them could even start another argument, Bobby interrupted in a hurry. "Stop, stop. Daddy and Mommy love each other very much. Let's eat."

As a result, there was a moment of silence in the dining room.

The atmosphere was so weird and suffocating that all of them lost their appetite.

"Alas!" Nadia let out a long breath.

Tired of acting in front of the children, Nancy quickly ate her food until she finished what was on her bowl.

"I'm full. Enjoy yourselves."

Then she pushed the bowl away and left the dining room.

Right after she left the dining room, she came to the children's room to prepare the clothes they were going to wear tonight and tomorrow, and then she also cleaned the room for them. When the kids were done with their meal, Nancy was already reading a professional book.

"Daddy, Mommy is a capable woman, isn't she?" Bobby

asked.

With her eyes full of expectations, Nadia raised her head to look at Charles.

Just like Nancy, Charles also didn't want to disappoint the kids, so he smiled a little. "Children, your Mommy is really capable. She still reads professional books after work to broaden her knowledge."

It was hard to tell based on the tone of his voice whether he was really praising Nancy or he was mocking her, because it sounded so flat.

It was so dull that Nancy just chose not to react.

Therefore, Charles added, "Children, your Mommy looks busy. Let's not disturb her. Let's just play chess together instead, okay?

The two kids nodded and cheered together.

A burst of rapid and disorderly footsteps came, indicating that the children had left the room along with Charles.

As she put down the book, Nancy closed her eyes and massaged the bridge of her nose. She was very tired of the fact that there was no solution left for her and Charles.

At this moment, she no longer knew how to deal with the stalemate she had with Charles. Even though she wanted to leave and move back to her own apartment, she knew it was impossible because of the children.

It was unacceptable that she had to be separated with the kids in order to be away from Charles.

That was the reason why she had no idea what she would do now.

Everything seemed to be so warm and harmonious when she heard Charles and the children laughing from outside. However, no one knew when the sharp undercurrents would suddenly rush over to swallow this beautiful illusion.

Lost in various fancies and conjectures, Nancy didn't notice that she had fallen asleep.

Rubbing her eyes, Nadia declared, "Daddy, it's late. I'm so sleepy."

"Yes, Daddy. I'm sleepy too!" Bobby yawned.

Looking at their half-closed eyes, Charles stood up. "Well, Daddy also wants to sleep. Let's go to bed."

The two kids jumped off the sofa and went to their own bathroom to take a shower.

Charles brought them the pajamas Nancy prepared for them.

As soon as they were done taking a shower, Charles asked them to lie down on the bed.

When Charles was about to leave Bobby's room, he suddenly called him in a soft voice,

"Daddy."

With worried eyes, Charles asked, "What's wrong?"

To his surprise, Bobby gave him an advice like an adult again. "Daddy, you should spend time with Mommy."
