Chapter 955
"Alright." Lewis picked up the spoon and ate some lasagna. "Wendy's cooking is not bad." He praised her sincerely. "Everything is well cooked but not mushy. It's better than the one you made last time." Last time during the steak dinner, Larissa had made some lasagna too. But she did not do it well and the dish turned mushy. A light poke with a fork destroyed it very easily. Lewis took another mouthful of lasagna before he remembered. "Help me thank her."
Larissa was not happy due to Lewis' praise of her friend and criticism of her. She refused angrily. "Go tell her yourself! I'm not a fucking messenger you can just order around!"
Wendy woke late, so the caretaker came late every day too. Larissa could not wait for the caretaker to come and make breakfast, and The house had no food, so she could only go out and eat with Lewis. She went to the McRonald's nearby the company and ordered two takeaway set meals. After she went upstairs, she sent one to Lewis' office. When she came out, Marilyn was already at her workplace. "Morning, Marilyn!" Larissa smiled as she greeted her friend.
Marilyn smiled back, but it did not look natural. "Morning, Larissa."
Larissa was a little confused, but she did not ask. She went back to her workplace and ate her breakfast while she browsed through the client information that Sharon had sent her yesterday.
Marilyn spoke to her though. "Why did you come so early today? Didn't you eat breakfast at home?"
Larissa froze for a bit before giving Marilyn a smile. "Yeah. I didn't have anything to eat at home, so I left early."
"Mr. Logan Junior did not have breakfast too? I saw you give him a McRonald's bag," Marilyn asked again.
"Yeah." Larissa nodded.
"How coincidental!" Marilyn smiled, but her words seemed to have another meaning. "You and Mr. Logan Junior both did not have breakfast."
"Well, no, actually." Larissa quickly put some distance between her and Lewis. "Mr. Logan Junior normally doesn't eat breakfast. And it's not just today. I just bought extra for him when I was buying my own breakfast. I'm his assistant after all. I can't really just eat alone, can I?"
"Is that so." Marilyn did not seem to accept Larissa's words. "I've been working in Blue Star for so many years, and I've never noticed that Mr. Logan Junior had a habit of not eating breakfast."
"Because I asked him," Larissa said righteously. Struck speechless by Larissa, Marilyn pressed her lips together and stopped talking.
"Judy's lawyer wants to meet with me today, do you want to come with me?" Lewis asked Larissa using the company's messaging app.
"The penalty case? Why do I need to go?" Larissa was confused.
"They said they want to settle things between us, but I don't think it's that simple."
In his office, Lewis was frowning. This case was handled by Blue Star's Legal Department. If Judy really wanted to settle things, she should have let her lawyer contact the Legal Department directly. There was no need to meet up with him.
He felt that something would happen when he met up with Judy later.
"When are you guys meeting? If I've finished my work by then, I'll go with you." Larissa honestly did not keep Judy in her mind. A pawn abandoned by Moorewell could no longer cause any big issues.
"3:00 pm; in the company's meeting room. They will come then. You'd better come with me. It shouldn't take too long."
Since Lewis had already said so, Larissa could only agree. "Okay. Tell me when they arrive."
