Summer’s S**y Back with Two Babies by Danielle Griffin (Alick Hill ) Chapter 40

Chapter 40

Summer thought, ‘I need to wait for the right moment to have a good talk with him and then move out of the

villa

“You two be good, okay?” she said. “Fay will come to pick you up a little later.”

Summer then instructed Ballard and Abby to listen to the teacher and call her if anything happened. They nodded, and Abby patted her chest, sincerely assuring, “Rest assured, Mommy. I’ll take good care of Ballard and make sure he doesn’t cause trouble. I’ll be good tool”

Ballard pouted and rolled his eyes at her, thinking. ‘Who usually causes more trouble?”

“Abby, you’re such a good girl, Summer said, hugging and kissing them. It was only then that she reluctantly left the kindergarten.

As soon as Summer left, Abby’s expression changed, and she said with a frown, “Ballard, why don’t you tell Mommy to take us back to the previous kindergarten? I don’t like this kindergarten at all. I haven’t had a chance to say goodbye to Moira and the others.”

Moira was her good friend from the previous kindergarten. She and Abby were very close, but now Abby was transferred to this new kindergarten without telling Moira. She was worried that Moira might get angry and no longer want to be her friend.

Ballard looked at her with a helpless expression, thinking. This wasn’t what she said in front of Mommy earlier.

“You’ll make new friends here too,” he said. “Just arrange to meet Moira one day. Won’t that be okay?”

“Nope, Abby said, instantly turning teary. “I just like the previous kindergarten. Ballard, you’re so smart, so you must have a solution, right?”

Ballard thought, ‘Good Lord. Abby’s really good at asking me for help.

He sighed helplessly and promised to find a way to have Summer take them back to their previous kindergarten. It was only then that Abby happily went to play on the swing with a smile.

“Why are you still standing there?” she asked. “Come over and push me!”

Ballard was left speechless.

At the entrance of the Hill Group, a woman dressed in a green dress with delicate makeup just got out of the car. The security guard at the entrance immediately welcomed her warmly and led her to the elevator, saying, “Over here, Ms. Taylor. Mr. Wilson has instructed that you can immediately go to the CEO’s office once you arrive.

Joan nodded and walked into the elevator with an air of superiority. After the doors closed, a hint of excitement appeared on her face,

Ever since those pieces of negative news came out, Alick started avoiding Joan and would not even answer her calls, leaving her scared as she was afraid that Alick would hate her and abandon her because of this incident.

It was not until Bill called and said that Alick wanted to see her that Joan felt like she came back to life.

After she arrived at the CEO’s office, Bill immediately brought her to Alick’s office, saying, “Ms. Taylor, please wait a moment. Mr. Hill’s meeting will be over soon.”

Joan nodded gratefully at Bill, then took out her compact powder to touch up her makeup. It was only upon ensuring that her makeup was flawless that she put the cosmetics back in her handbag.

The secretary even complimented Joan on her beauty when she brought Joan coffee. Joan got even happier. She was determined to win back Alick’s heart today and turn the tables in front of Summer.

A few minutes later. Alick pushed the door open and entered. Joan immediately walked up to him and linked arms. with him, saying, “Alick, you are finally willing to see me. I know you’re still upset about what happened before, but I can explain everything…

Just as Joan was about to shed a few tears to gain sympathy, he cold-heartedly pushed her arm away and said, “I didn’t invite you over today to hear you say these things.

Alick wore an indifferent expression, and his eyes showed no change of emotion. It was as if he was meeting Joan for the first time.

“Aren’t there enough roasting on the internet?” Alick continued. “Still want to use trickly reasoning to defend yourself, huh?”

Joan bit her lip, clearly sensing that Alick had become different from before, and with tears welling up in her eyes, she said, “Alick, believe me. I didn’t do it on purpose. I just couldn’t stand how Jonathan was so kind to Summer, so I lost my marbles…

“Enough talk!” Alick said sternly. “You still have the audacity to bring up Grandpa!”

Twisting the hem of her clothes with her hands, Joan began to cry, making a pattering sound as they hit the ground. She lifted her eyes, looked at the man in front of her with her vision blurred by tears, and said, “Alick. I really know that I messed up big time…”

Joan was wagering that Alick would definitely turn soft-hearted, but she forgot that when the man in front of her turned cold-hearted, he was basically inhuman.

“Didn’t you mention before that you wanted to participate in that big show overseas?” Alick said. “I’ve already gotten someone to make the arrangements. You can go abroad next week.”

Stunned, Joan said, “Next week? But that big show starts next month…”

“Is there a problem?” Alick said coldly as he directed his indifferent gaze at her. “You have already been plagued by negative stuff in the country. Going abroad now is the best choice.”

As if hit by a bolt from the blue, Joan thought, ‘What best choice? He’s clearly driving me away from the country!”

Alick had already made up his mind. As long as Joan was willing to go abroad, he would help her find a new talent agency. He would also provide her with opportunities in the foreign market. The development of her career would only be better than it was now.

But before these words were spoken/Joan broke down and burst into tears, saying, “You said you would always treat me well, so why are you driving me away? Is it because of Summer?”

She slumped to the ground, crying so intensely that she was gasping.

“If it’s because of that reason, then you can rest assured that I won’t fight with her for anything,” she continued. As long as you promise to let me stay by your side, I can give up everything…”

Joan felt like her world was collapsing, Despair and anger were swirling inside her. Apart from Summer, she could not think of any reason that Alick wanted to drive her away.

She had long been accustomed to the feeling of being above others as well as being respected and admired by people. However, once she went abroad, the dream of marrying Alick would be completely shattered, and this was something that she absolutely could not accept.

She thought, “Why? Why should I lose everything I have as soon as that bi tc h returns?”

Her eyes were bloodshot, and she exclaimed with all her strength, “Alick, I beg you. Don’t send me abroad, okay?”

Joan’s heart-wrenching cries earlier were loud enough to be heard by everyone on the entire floor. Alick could even imagine the expressions of his subordinates outside at this moment.

He frowned and scolded sterly, “Stop crying. Don’t you think it’s embarrassing?” It was only then that Joan stopped sobbing, but she continued to cry softly.

“We’ll talk about going abroad later, but you had better behave yourself in the meantime!” Alick said. “If anything similar reaches Grandpa’s ears again, I won’t spare you and the entire Taylor family!”

A chill spread through Joan’s limbs, making her tremble.

Alick had never spoken to her in such a tone before. She was well aware of what it meant, so she said with a look of grievance, “Alick, you can rest assured that I’ll do whatever you say. In the meantime, I’ll be good and stay at home, not going anywhere.”

Alick’s expression softened, but he did not notice the resentment surging in Joan’s eyes. Joan was determined to teach Summer a lesson.

In the kindergarten, Sanford was on the phone with Abby.

“Sanford, can you please help me explain to Moira?” Abby said with teary eyes and a look of grievance on the screen. “She got angry when she found out that I’d transferred to another kindergarten. She’s not even answering. the phone…

Knowing it was hard, Sanford touched his hair. He had always been a lone wolf in kindergarten, not keen on talking to other kids or playing with them, so he had no idea who Moira was.

“Moira is my best friend,” Abby said. “I can’t lose her.”

Abby was on the verge of tears as she spoke, so Sanford had no choice but to agree.

It was now the end of the class. Moira was not in the same class as Sanford. He glanced at the group photo Abby sent him and was about to go find her, but just as he walked out the door, Aria called out to him, saying, “Mr. Sanford, the class is about to start. Where are you going?”

He did not say anything. He just looked over coldly.

Aria’s radiant smile instantly froze, and she thought, ‘Oh no. Why is this kid so scary?” She suddenly missed the

sunny and adorable Ballard. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Sanford had no idea what Aria was thinking. As she said nothing, he was about to leave, but Travis suddenly ran over hurriedly and said, “Mr. Sanford, your mommy is here. Quick. Come with me to meet her.”

Mommy? Sanford thought, his eyes lighting up. Without much thought, he followed Travis to the office, but when he saw the woman inside, his face turned cold. He turned around, wanting to walk outside.

“Mr. Sanford, you’re going the wrong way. Travis said. “Your mom is over here.”

Travis immediately grabbed him and pushed him over to the so-called “mommy”. He said, “Your mommy brought lots of snacks and toys. Come and see if you like them.”

“She’s not my mommy, Sanford said with an impatient expression. Without even glancing at the woman, he left the office.

Travis was somewhat puzzled as he looked at Joan, who was thinking. This woman clearly said she’s Mrs. Hill earlier. Why did…”

“There’s some misunderstanding between me with Sanford,” Joan said. “He doesn’t really like me.” She laughed indifferently. After all, she did not care about Sanford’s attitude. She was only here to put on a show for Alick and let him know how much she cared for his son.

*Sanford has a bit of a temper,” she said. “Please share these snacks and toys with the other kids. I hope they can get. along well.

More than just having a bit of a temper, he’s so arrogant! Travis thought as he pushed up his glasses. Many teachers had already reported issues such as Sanford being unsociable, sleeping in class, and other similar issues.

But he did not dare to offend Sanford. Neither did he dare to tell Alick about these matters. Since Joan was so approachable, he boldly shared these issues with her.

“Don’t worry,” Joan said. “Tll have a good talk with his dad when I get back.”

She was secretly delighted, thinking. ‘It’d be best if that son of the bitc h does something even more outrageous to make Alick angry. That way, I can conveniently claim that the woman has been a bad influence on the kid. Then, I can drive her out of the villa.

In the following days, Joan would visit the kindergarten to see Sanford. Even though Sanford always ignored her, she still brought various toys and snacks to distribute to the children in the kindergarten.

They naturally assumed that Joan was Sanford’s mother. Even their impressions of him improved a lot.

“I really envy Sanford. If my mom were to come to the kindergarten every day, bringing snacks and toys for me, that’d be so awesome.”

“I heard his mommy is a celebrity. She’s really good-looking.”

As Sanford listened to the kids’ discussion, his face turned pale with anger, and he slammed the table and stood up. abruptly, saying, “Shut the hell up! That woman is not my mommy!”
